1 Yohana 5
1 Umuunhu ghweni juno ikwitika kuuti u Yesu kilisite aholilue nu Nguluve. Umwene juno ikumughana umwene juno ahumile kwa Nhaata ikuvaghana na vaanha va mwene.
Whoever believeth that Jesus is the Messiah, is born of God. And whoever loveth the begetter, loveth him also that is begotten of him.
2 Mu uluo tukagwile kuuti tuvaghanile avaanha va Nguluve — pano tukumughana u Nguluve na kuvingilila indaghilo samwene.
And by this we know, that we love the children of God, when we love God, and follow his commandments.
3 Pe lulinala penetumughanile u Nguluve kuuti kwe kuvingilila indaghilo sake. Kange lndaghilo saake na nhaalamu kukusivingilila.
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not burdensome.
4 Ulwakuva umuunhu ghweni juno aholilue mwa Nguluve ikusilema isa mu iisi. Na uvu vwe vulemi vwa kusilema isa mu iisi, vwimila ulwitiko lwitu.
Because, whoever is born of God, overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, our faith.
5 Ghweveni juno ikusilema isa mu iisi? Ghwejula juno ikwitika kuuti u Yesu mwana ghwa Nguluve
For who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
6 U Yesu Kilisite ghwejuno alisile namalenga ni danda - Yesu Kiliste. Nakwekuuti alisile na malenga ghene looli alisile namalenga najidanda.
This is he who came by the water and the blood. Jesus the Messiah; not by the water only, but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit testifieth; because the Spirit is truth.
7 Looli kwevale vatatu vano vikwoleka:
For there are three that testify in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit: and these three are one.
8 Umhepo, amalenga ni danda. Ava vatatu vikwiting'ana. (Gadilila: Amasio agha “Nhaata, ilisio, nu Mhepo u Mwimike” naghivoneka mu nakala inofo isa kali).
And there are three witnesses, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three are in union.
9 Nave tukwupila uvwolesi vwa muunhu uvwolesi vwa Nguluve vwe vuvaha kukila uvuo. Ulwakuva uvwolesi vwa Nguluve vwe uvu- kuuti alinuvwolesi vwimila nu mwanake.
If we receive the testimony of men, how much greater is the testimony of God? And this is the testimony of God, which he hath testified concerning his Son.
10 Jula juno ikumwitika umwana ghwa Nguluve nu vwolesi mun'kate mwa mwene. Looli umuunhu ghweni juno naikumwitika u Nguluve am'bikile kuuti n'desi, ulwakuuva na itike uvwolesi vuno u Nguluve ahufisie vwimila u mwanake.
Whoever believeth in the Son of God, hath this testimony in himself. And whoever believeth not God, hath made him a liar, by not believing the testimony which God hath testified concerning his Son.
11 Uvwolesi vwe uvu — kuuti u Nguluve atupelile uvwumi vwa kuvusila nakusila, kange uvwumi uvu vulimun'kate mwa mwanake. (aiōnios g166)
And this is the testimony, that God hath given to us life eternal, and this life is in his Son. (aiōnios g166)
12 Ghwe ghwoni jula alinu mwana alinu vwumi uvwa kuvusila nakusila. Neke juno alivuvule umwana ghwa Nguluve n'sila vwumi.
Every one that taketh hold of the Son, taketh hold of life; and every one that taketh not hold of the Son, hath not life.
13 Nivalembile agha kuuti mukagule mulinuvwumi vwa kuvusila kusila — umue mwevano mukalyitike ilitavua lya mwana ghwa Nguluve. (aiōnios g166)
These things have I written to you, that ye may know that ye have life eternal, ye who believe in the name of the Son of God. (aiōnios g166)
14 Uvu vwe vukangafu vuno tulinavo pavulongolo pa mwene, ndavule kuuti tungan'sume ikiinu kye kyooni kila muvughane mwake, ikutupulika.
And this is the confidence that we have towards him, that whatever we ask of him, agreeably to his will, he heareth us.
15 Lino nave tukagwile kuuti ikutupulika — kye kyoni kino tukunsuma apuo tu kagula kuuti tulinakyo ikio kino tunsumile.
And if we are persuaded that he heareth us respecting what we ask of him, we are confident of receiving presently the petitions which we asked of him.
16 Nave umuunhu ikumwagha unyalukolo ivomba uvuhosi vuno navukumpela uvufue, sinoghile ansumilaghe kwa Nguluve ikumpelela uvwumi. Nijova kuvala vano uvuhosi vuvanave vwe vula vuno vukumpelela uvufue — Neke kwevule uvuhosi vuno vukumpelela uvufue — na niiti kuuti simunoghile kun'uma vwimila vwa vuhosi.
If any one shall see his brother sin a sin which doth not deserve death, he shall ask, and life will be given him, to them I say who sin not as unto death. For there is a sin of death; and I do not say of this, that a man should pray for it.
17 Uvugalusi vwoni vwe vwu vuhosi — looli kulivuhosi vuno navupelela uvufue.
For all iniquity is sin; and there is a sin which is not of death.
18 Tukagwile kuuti juno aholilue mwa Nguluve naivomba uvuhosi. Looli juno aholilue nu Nguluve ikumulolela mwene vunofu, najula umhosi naangavavombe kimonga.
And we know, that every one who is born of God, sinneth not: for he that is born of God keepeth himself, and the evil one toucheth him not.
19 Tukagwile kuuti usue tuli va Nguluve kange tukagwile kuuti iisi jooni jili pasi n'temi jula umhosi.
We know, that we are of God; and all the world is reposing on the evil one.
20 Looli tukagwile kuuti umwana ghwa Nguluve isile atupelile uvukagusi, kuuti tun'kagule umwene juno ghwa kyang'haani nakuuti tulimu'kate mwa mwene jujuo ughwa kyang'haani, kange umwanake u Yesu Kiliste. Ghwe Nguluve ughwa kyang'haani nhu vwumi uvwa kuvusila na kusila. (aiōnios g166)
And we know that the Son of God hath come, and hath given us knowledge that we might know the True One; and that we might be in the True One, in his Son Jesus the Messiah. He is the true God, and the life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
21 Vaanango vaghanike, namungafighiniaghe ifihwani ifya manguluve.
My children, keep yourselves from idolatry.
