Xê-pha-ni-a 1

1 Nầy là lời Đức Giê-hô-va phán cùng Sô-phô-ni, con trai Cu-si cháu Ghê-đa-lia, chắt A-ma-ria, chít Ê-xê-chia, về đời Giô-si-a, con trai A-môn, vua Giu-đa.

[the] word of Yahweh - which it came to Zephaniah [the] son of Cushi [the] son of Gedaliah [the] son of Amariah [the] son of Hezekiah in [the] days of Josiah [the] son of Amon [the] king of Judah.

2 Ta sẽ diệt sạch mọi sự khỏi mặt đất, Đức Giê-hô-va phán vậy.

Utterly I will bring to an end everything from on [the] surface of the ground [the] utterance of Yahweh.

3 Ta sẽ diệt loài người và loài thú, chim trời và cá biển, cùng mọi sự ngăn trở với kẻ dữ; và ta sẽ trừ tiệt loài người khỏi mặt đất, Đức Giê-hô-va phán vậy.

I will bring to an end human being and animal I will bring to an end [the] bird[s] of the heavens and [the] fish of the sea and the stumbling-blocks with the wicked [people] and I will cut off humankind from on [the] surface of the ground [the] utterance of Yahweh.

4 Ta sẽ giang tay ta trên Giu-đa và trên hết thảy dân cư Giê-ru-sa-lem; sẽ trừ tiệt phần sót lại của Ba-anh, các tên của thầy cả và thầy tế lễ nó khỏi nơi nầy.

And I will stretch out hand my on Judah and on all [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem and I will cut off from the place this [the] remnant of Baal [the] name of the pagan priests with the priests.

5 Ta sẽ diệt những kẻ lạy cơ binh trên trời nơi nóc nhà; và những kẻ thờ lạy, những kẻ thề với Đức Giê-hô-va và cũng thề bởi vua mình;

And those [who] bow down on the roofs to [the] host of the heavens and those [who] bow down those [who] swear an oath to Yahweh and those [who] swear an oath by Milcom.

6 cùng với những kẻ xây bỏ không theo Đức Giê-hô-va, và những kẻ không tìm kiếm Đức Giê-hô-va, không cầu hỏi Ngài.

And those [who] have turned back from after Yahweh and [those] who not they have sought Yahweh and not they have sought him.

7 Hãy nín lặng ở trước mặt Chúa Giê-hô-va! Vì ngày của Đức Giê-hô-va đã gần, Đức Giê-hô-va đã sửa soạn của lễ, đã biệt riêng ra tân khách Ngài.

Hush! from before [the] Lord Yahweh for [is] near [the] day of Yahweh for he has prepared Yahweh a sacrifice he has consecrated invited [ones] his.

8 Trong ngày tế lễ của Đức Giê-hô-va, ta sẽ phạt các quan trưởng và các con trai của vua, và hết thảy những kẻ mặc áo lạ.

And it will be on [the] day of [the] sacrifice of Yahweh and I will visit [judgment] on the princes and on [the] sons of the king and on all those [who] are clothed clothing foreign.

9 Trong ngày đó, ta sẽ phạt hết thảy những kẻ nhảy qua ngạch cửa, và những kẻ làm đầy dẫy sự bạo ngược và sự quỷ quyệt trong nhà chủ mình.

And I will visit [judgment] on every [one who] leaps over the threshold on the day that those [who] fill [the] house of lord their violence and deceit.

10 Đức Giê-hô-va phán: Trong ngày đó sẽ có tiếng kêu lớn nơi cửa cá, tiếng la lối nơi phố thứ hai, tiếng vỡ lở lớn nơi các đồi.

And it will be on the day that [the] utterance of Yahweh [the] sound of a cry of distress from [the] gate of the fish and wailing from the second district and a crashing great from the hills.

11 Hỡi dân cư trong thành thấp, hãy than khóc; vì mọi kẻ buôn bán đã mòn mỏi, và mọi kẻ chở bạc đi đã bị diệt mất.

Wail O inhabitants of the Mortar for it will be destroyed all [the] people of Canaan they will be cut off all [the] weighers of silver.

12 Trong lúc đó, ta sẽ dùng đèn đuốc lục soát trong Giê-ru-sa-lem, sẽ phạt những kẻ đọng trong cặn rượu và tự nói trong lòng mình rằng: Đức Giê-hô-va sẽ chẳng xuống phước cũng chẳng xuống họa.

And it will be at the time that I will search Jerusalem with lamps and I will visit [judgment] on the people who are thickening on lees their who are saying in heart their not he will do good Yahweh and not he will do harm.

13 Của cải chúng nó sẽ bị cướp, nhà cửa chúng nó sẽ hoang vu; chúng nó sẽ xây nhà mà không được ở, trồng nho mà không được uống rượu.

And it will become wealth their plunder and houses their a desolation and they will build houses and not they will dwell [in them] and they will plant vineyards and not they will drink wine their.

14 Ngày lớn của Đức Giê-hô-va đã gần, đã gần rồi; nó đến rất kíp. Ngày của Đức Giê-hô-va có tiếng động; bấy giờ người mạnh dạn sẽ kêu khóc đắng cay.

[is] near [the] day of Yahweh great near and hurrying exceedingly [the] sound of [the] day of Yahweh bitter [is] shouting out there a warrior.

15 Ngày ấy là ngày thạnh nộ, ngày hoạn nạn và buồn rầu, ngày hủy phá và hoang vu, ngày tối tăm và mờ mịt, ngày mây và sương mù,

[will be] a day of Fury the day that a day of trouble and distress a day of devastation and desolation a day of darkness and gloom a day of cloud and thick darkness.

16 ngày mà tiếng kèn và tiếng báo giặc nghịch cùng các thành bền vững và các tháp cao góc thành.

A day of trumpet and battle-cry on the cities fortified and on the corners high.

17 Ta sẽ đem sự hoạn nạn trên loài người, chúng nó sẽ đi như kẻ mù, vì đã phạm tội nghịch cùng Đức Giê-hô-va; máu chúng nó sẽ đổ ra như bụi, và thịt như phân.

And I will cause distress to humankind and they will walk like blind [people] for to Yahweh they have sinned and it will be poured out blood their like dust and bowel[s] their like dung.

18 Hoặc bạc hoặc vàng của chúng nó, đều không có thể giải cứu chúng nó trong ngày thạnh nộ của Đức Giê-hô-va; nhưng cả đất nầy sẽ bị lửa ghen Ngài thiêu nuốt; vì Ngài sẽ diệt hết dân cư đất nầy cách thình lình.

Neither silver their nor gold their not it will be able to deliver them on [the] day of [the] fury of Yahweh and in [the] fire of jealousy his it will be consumed all the earth for complete destruction surely a terrible [thing] he will make with all [the] inhabitants of the earth.
