Thánh Thi 34
1 Tôi sẽ chúc tụng Đức Giê-hô-va luôn luôn, Sự khen ngợi Ngài hằng ở nơi miệng tôi.
[A Psalm] of David, when he changed his countenance before Abimelech; and he let him go, and he departed. I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall be continually in my mouth.
2 Linh hồn tôi sẽ khoe mình về Đức Giê-hô-va, Những người hiền từ sẽ nghe, và vui mừng.
My soul shall boast herself in the Lord: let the meek hear, and rejoice.
3 Hãy cùng tôi tôn trọng Đức Giê-hô-va, Chúng ta hãy cùng nhau tôn cao danh của Ngài.
Magnify you the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.
4 Tôi đã tìm cầu Đức Giê-hô-va, Ngài đáp lại tôi, Giải cứu tôi khỏi các đều sợ hãi.
I sought the Lord diligently, and he listened to me, and delivered me from all my sojournings.
5 Chúng ngửa trông Chúa thì được chói-sáng, Mặt họ chẳng hề bị hổ thẹn.
Draw near to him, and be enlightened: and your faces shall not [by any means] be ashamed.
6 Kẻ khốn cùng nầy có kêu cầu, Đức Giê-hô-va bèn nhậm lời người, Giải cứu người khỏi các điều gian truân.
This poor man cried, and the Lord listened to him, and delivered him out of all his afflictions.
7 Thiên sứ Đức Giê-hô-va đóng lại chung quanh những kẻ kính sợ Ngài, Và giải cứu họ.
The angel of the Lord will encamp round about them that fear him, and will deliver them.
8 Khá nếm thử xem Đức Giê-hô-va tốt lành dường bao! Phước cho người nào nương náu mình nơi Ngài!
Taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man who hopes in him.
9 Hỡi các thánh của Đức Giê-hô-va, hãy kính sợ Ngài; Vì kẻ nào kính sợ Ngài chẳng thiếu thốn gì hết.
Fear the Lord, all you his saints: for there is no lack to them that fear him.
10 Sư tử tơ bị thiếu kém, và đói; Nhưng người nào tìm cầu Đức Giê-hô-va sẽ chẳng thiếu của tốt gì.
The rich have become poor and hungry: but they that seek the Lord diligently shall not lack any good thing. (Pause)
11 Hỡi các con, hãy đến nghe ta; Ta sẽ dạy các con sự kính sợ Đức Giê-hô-va.
Come, you children, hear me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
12 Ai là người ưa thích sự sống, và mến ngày lâu dài để hưởng phước lành?
What man is there that desires life, loving to see good days?
13 Khá giữ lưỡi mình khỏi lời ác, Và môi mình khỏi nói sự dối gạt.
Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking guile.
14 Hãy tránh sự ác, và làm điều lành, Hãy tìm kiếm sự hòa bình, và đeo đuổi sự ấy.
Turn away from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
15 Mắt Đức Giê-hô-va đoái xem người công bình, Lỗ tai Ngài nghe tiếng kêu cầu của họ.
The eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears [are open] to their prayer:
16 Mặt Đức Giê-hô-va làm nghịch cùng kẻ làm ác, Đặng diệt kỷ niệm chúng nó khỏi đất.
but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to destroy their memorial from the earth. The righteous cried, and the Lord listened to them,
17 Người công bình kêu cầu, Đức Giê-hô-va bèn nghe, Và giải cứu người khỏi các sự gian truân.
and delivered them out of all their afflictions.
18 Đức Giê-hô-va ở gần những người có lòng đau thương, Và cứu kẻ nào có tâm hồn thống-hối.
The Lord is near to them that are of a contrite heart; and will save the lowly in spirit.
19 Người công bình bị nhiều tai họa, Nhưng Đức Giê-hô-va cứu người khỏi hết.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but out of them all Lord will deliver them.
20 Ngài giữ hết thảy xương cốt người, Chẳng một cái nào bị gãy.
He keeps all their bones: not one of them shall be broken.
21 Sự dữ sẽ giết kẻ ác; Những kẻ ghét người công bình sẽ bị định tội.
The death of sinners is evil: and they that hate righteousness will go wrong.
22 Đức Giê-hô-va chuộc linh hồn của kẻ tôi tớ Ngài; Phàm ai nương náu mình nơi Ngài ắt không bị định tội.
The Lord will redeem the souls of his servants: and none of those that hope in him shall go wrong.
