Thánh Thi 147
1 Khá ngợi khen Đức Giê-hô-va! vì là điều tốt. Hãy hát ngợi khen Đức Chúa Trời chúng ta; vì là việc tốt lành. Sự ngợi khen hiệp lễ nghi.
Hallelujah; for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is comely; [him] becometh praise.
2 Đức Giê-hô-va xây cất Giê-ru-sa-lem; Ngài hiệp lại những kẻ bị tản lạc của Y-sơ-ra-ên,
The Lord buildeth up Jerusalem: the outcasts of Israel will he gather together;
3 Chữa lành người có lòng đau thương, Và bó vít của họ.
He that healeth the broken-hearted, and bindeth up their hurts;
4 Ngài đếm số các vì sao, Gọi từng tên hết thảy các vì ấy.
Who counteth the number of the stars; who calleth them all by [their] names.
5 Chúa chúng tôi thật lớn, có quyền năng cả thể; Sự thông sáng Ngài vô cùng vô tận.
Great is our Lord, and abundant in power: his understanding is immeasurable.
6 Đức Giê-hô-va nâng đỡ người khiêm nhường, Đánh đổ kẻ ác xuống đất.
The Lord helpeth up the meek: he bringeth down the wicked to the ground.
7 Hãy hát sự cảm tạ cho Đức Giê-hô-va, Gảy đàn cầm mà ngợi khen Đức Chúa Trời chúng tôi.
Lift up a song unto the Lord with thanksgiving; sing praises unto our God with the harp;
8 Ngài bao các từng trời bằng mây, Sắm sửa mưa cho đất, Làm cho cỏ mọc trên núi.
Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who causeth grass to grow upon the mountains;
9 Ban đồ ăn cho thú vật, Và cho quạ con kêu rêu.
Who giveth to the beast its food, to the young ravens which cry.
10 Ngài chẳng đẹp lòng sức của ngựa, Cũng không thích chân của loài người,
Not in the strength of the horse hath he delight: nor in the [swiftness of the] legs of man taketh he pleasure.
11 Bèn là đẹp lòng người kính sợ Ngài, Và kẻ trông đợi sự nhân từ của Ngài.
The Lord taketh pleasure in those that fear him, that wait for his kindness.
12 Hỡi Giê-ru-sa-lem, hãy ngợi khen Đức Giê-hô-va! ù Si-ôn, hãy ca tụng Đức Chúa Trời ngươi!
Glorify, O Jerusalem, the Lord: praise thy God, O Zion.
13 Vì Ngài đã làm cho then cửa ngươi nên vững chắc, Ban phước cho con cái ngươi ở giữa ngươi.
For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children in the midst of thee;
14 Ngài giáng bình an trong bờ cõi ngươi, Làm cho ngươi được đầy dẫy lúa miến tốt nhất.
He who bestoweth peace in thy borders, who satisfieth thee with the best of wheat;
15 Ngài ra lịnh mình trên đất, Lời của Ngài chạy rất mau.
He who sendeth forth his decree unto the earth: how swiftly speedeth his word along!
16 Ngài cho mưa tuyết như lông chiên, Rải sương mốc trắng khác nào tro.
He who dispenseth snow like wool; who streweth about the hoarfrost like ashes;
17 Ngài ném giá từng miếng; Ai chịu nổi được sự lạnh lẽo của Ngài?
He who casteth down his ice like pieces: before his cold who can stand?
18 Ngài ra lịnh làm cho tuyết giá tan ra, Khiến gió thổi, nước bèn chảy.
He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and waters run along.
19 Ngài truyền lời mình cho Gia-cốp, Luật lệ và mạng lịnh mình cho Y-sơ-ra-ên.
He declareth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his ordinances unto Israel.
20 Ngài chẳng hề làm như vậy cho dân nào khác; Chúng nó không có biết mạng lịnh của Ngài. Ha-lê-lu-gia!
He hath not done so unto any nation: and [his] ordinances— these they know not. Hallelujah.
