Dân Số 12
1 Mi-ri-am và A-rôn nói hành Môi-se về việc người nữ Ê-thi-ô-bi mà người đã lấy; vì người có lấy một người nữ Ê-thi-ô-bi làm vợ.
And Mariam and Aaron spoke against Moses, because of the Ethiopian woman whom Moses took; for he had taken an Ethiopian woman.
2 Hai người nói rằng: Đức Giê-hô-va chỉ dùng một mình Môi-se mà thôi sao? Ngài há không dùng chúng ta mà phán nữa sao? Đức Giê-hô-va nghe điều đó.
And they said, Has the Lord spoken to Moses only? has he not also spoken to us? and the Lord heard it.
3 Vả, Môi-se là người rất khiêm hòa hơn mọi người trên thế gian.
And the man Moses was very meek beyond all the men that were upon the earth.
4 Thình lình Đức Giê-hô-va phán cùng Môi-se, A-rôn và Mi-ri-am rằng: Cả ba hãy ra đến hội mạc. Cả ba đều đi.
And the Lord said immediately to Moses and Aaron and Mariam, Come forth all three of you to the tabernacle of witness.
5 Đức Giê-hô-va ngự xuống trong trụ mây đứng tại cửa hội mạc, rồi gọi A-rôn và Môi-se; hai người đều đến.
And the three came forth to the tabernacle of witness; and the Lord descended in a pillar of a cloud, and stood at the door of the tabernacle of witness; and Aaron and Mariam were called; and both came forth.
6 Ngài phán cùng hai người rằng: Hãy nghe rõ lời ta. Nếu trong các ngươi có một tiên tri nào, ta là Đức Giê-hô-va sẽ hiện ra cùng người trong sự hiện thấy, và nói với người trong cơn chiêm bao.
And he said to them, Hear my words: If there should be of you a prophet to the Lord, I will be made known to him in a vision, and in sleep will I speak to him.
7 Tôi tớ Môi-se ta không có như vậy, người thật trung tín trong cả nhà ta.
My servant Moses [is] not so; he is faithful in all my house.
8 Ta nói chuyện cùng người miệng đối miệng, một cách rõ ràng, không lời đố, và người thấy hình Đức Giê-hô-va. Vậy, các ngươi không sợ mà nói hành kẻ tôi tớ ta, là Môi-se sao?
I will speak to him mouth to mouth apparently, and not in dark speeches; and he has seen the glory of the Lord; and why were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
9 Như vậy, cơn thạnh nộ của Đức Giê-hô-va nổi phừng phừng cùng hai người; Ngài ngự đi.
And the great anger of the Lord [was] upon them, and he departed.
10 Khi trụ mây rút khỏi trên đền tạm, thì kìa, Mi-ri-am đã bị phung trắng như tuyết. A-rôn xây lại phía Mi-ri-am, thấy người đã có bịnh phung.
And the cloud departed from the tabernacle; and, behold, Mariam was leprous, [white] as snow; and Aaron looked upon Mariam, and, behold, she [was] leprous.
11 A-rôn bèn nói cùng Môi-se rằng: Oâi, lạy chúa tôi, xin chớ để trên chúng tôi tội mà chúng tôi đã dại phạm và đã mắc lấy.
And Aaron said to Moses, I beseech you, my lord, do not lay sin upon us, for we were ignorant wherein we sinned.
12 Xin chớ để nàng như một đứa con sảo thịt đã hư hết phân nửa khi lọt ra khỏi lòng mẹ.
Let her not be as it were like death, as an abortion coming out of his mother's womb, when [the disease] devours the half of the flesh.
13 Môi-se bèn kêu van cùng Đức Giê-hô-va rằng: Oâi, Đức Chúa Trời! Tôi cầu khẩn Ngài chữa cho nàng.
And Moses cried to the Lord, saying, O God, I beseech you, heal her.
14 Đức Giê-hô-va đáp cùng Môi-se rằng: Nếu cha nàng nhổ trên mặt nàng, nàng há không mang hổ trong bảy ngày sao? Nàng phải cầm riêng ngoài trại quân trong bảy ngày, rồi sau sẽ được nhận vào lại.
And the Lord said to Moses, If her father had only spit in her face, would she not be ashamed seven days? let her be set apart seven days without the camp, and afterwards she shall come in.
15 Aáy vậy, Mi-ri-am bị cầm riêng ngoài trại quân trong bảy ngày, dân sự không ra đi cho đến chừng nào Mi-ri-am được nhận vào lại.
And Mariam was separated without the camp seven days; and the people moved not forward till Mariam was cleansed.
16 Sau việc đó, dân sự ra đi từ Hát-sê-rốt, và hạ trại trong đồng vắng Pha-ran.
And afterwards the people set forth from Aseroth, and encamped in the wilderness of Pharan.
