Mi-ca 4
1 Xảy ra trong những ngày sau rốt, núi của nhà Đức Giê-hô-va sẽ lập lên trên chót các núi, và sẽ được nhắc cao lên hơn các đồi. Các dân sẽ chảy về đó;
Yahweh [says that] some day his temple will be on top of a mountain, and that mountain will be the most important [MET] one on the earth; it will be [as though it is] higher than all the hills, and huge groups of people from all over the world will come there [to worship].
2 và nhiều nước sẽ đi đến đó, mà rằng: Hãy đến, chúng ta hãy lên núi của Đức Giê-hô-va, nơi nhà của Đức Chúa Trời Gia-cốp! Ngài sẽ dạy chúng ta về đường lối Ngài, và chúng ta sẽ đi trong các nẻo Ngài. Vì luật pháp sẽ ra từ Si-ôn, lời của Đức Giê-hô-va từ Giê-ru-sa-lem.
[People from] many nations will say [to each other], “Let’s go to the mountain where Yahweh is, to the temple where we can worship the God whom Jacob [worshiped]. There God will teach us how he wants us to conduct our lives, and we will do what he wants us to do.” Zion [Hill] is the place where he will teach [people]; and [people will go] out from Jerusalem [to tell others] his messages.
3 Ngài sẽ làm ra sự phán xét giữa nhiều dân, đoán định các nước mạnh nơi phương xa; và họ sẽ lấy gươm rèn lưỡi cày, lấy giáo rèn lưỡi liềm; nước nầy chẳng giá gươm lên nghịch cùng nước khác, và cũng không tập sự chiến tranh nữa.
Yahweh will settle disputes between many people, and he will [also] settle disputes between powerful nations that are far away. Then people will hammer their swords to cause them to become plow blades, and [hammer] their spears to cause them to become pruning knives. [Armies of] nations will no [longer] fight against [armies of other] nations, and they will no longer train [men how to fight] in wars.
4 Ai nấy sẽ ngồi dưới cây nho mình và dưới cây vả mình, không ai làm cho lo sợ; vì miệng Đức Giê-hô-va vạn quân đã phán.
Everyone will sit [peacefully] under his own grapevines, and under his own fig trees; no one will cause them to be afraid. [That is what will surely happen] because the Commander of the armies of angels has said it.
5 Mọi dân tộc ai nấy bước theo danh của thần mình; và chúng ta sẽ bước theo danh Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời chúng ta đời đời vô cùng!
Many [HYP] [of the people of other] nations will worship [IDM] their own gods, but we will worship Yahweh our God always, forever.
6 Đức Giê-hô-va phán: Trong ngày đó, ta sẽ nhóm kẻ què lại, và thâu kẻ đã bị đuổi, kẻ mà ta đã làm cho buồn rầu.
Yahweh says, “There will soon be a time when I will gather the people whom I have punished, who have been (exiled/forced to go to other countries), all those whom [I have caused to] suffer much.
7 Rồi ta sẽ đặt kẻ què làm dân sót, và kẻ bị bỏ làm nước mạnh: Đức Giê-hô-va sẽ trị vì trên chúng nó trong núi Si-ôn, từ bây giờ đến đời đời.
My people who did not die while they were exiled will become a strong nation [again]. Then [I], Yahweh, will be their king, and I will rule from Jerusalem forever.
8 Còn ngươi, là tháp của bầy, đồi của con gái Si-ôn, quyền thế cũ của ngươi, tức là nước của con gái Giê-ru-sa-lem, sẽ đến cùng ngươi.
As for you people of Jerusalem [MET], you who [guard all of my people] like [MET] [a shepherd guards his sheep] from a tower, you [who live on] Zion [Hill], will have great power again. You people who live in Jerusalem will again rule like you did previously.
9 Nhưng bây giờ làm sao ngươi trổi tiếng kêu la như vậy? Giữa ngươi há không có vua sao? Hay là mưu sĩ ngươi đã chết, nên ngươi bị quặn thắt như đàn bà sanh đẻ?
[So] why [RHQ] are you wailing now? Is it because you have no king? Have all your wise people died? You are groaning loudly like [SIM] a woman who is giving birth to a baby.
10 Hỡi con gái Si-ôn, hãy đau đớn khó nhọc để đẻ ra như đàn bà đẻ! Vì ngươi sẽ đi ra khỏi thành và ở trong đồng ruộng, và ngươi sẽ đến Ba-by-lôn. Nhưng ở đó, ngươi sẽ được giải cứu; ấy là tại đó mà Đức Giê-hô-va sẽ chuộc ngươi ra khỏi tay kẻ thù nghịch ngươi.
[Well], you people of Jerusalem should writhe and groan like [SIM] a woman who is having birth pains, because now you must leave this city, and [while you are traveling], you will set up tents in open fields [at night]; you will go to [live in] Babylon. [But while you are] there, [I], Yahweh, will rescue you; I will free you from the power/control [MTY] of your enemies.
11 Bây giờ có nhiều nước nhóm lại nghịch cùng ngươi, nói rằng: Nguyền cho nó bị uế tục, và nguyền cho con mắt chúng ta xem thấy sự ước ao mình xảy đến trên Si-ôn!
Now [the armies of] many nations have gathered to attack you. They are saying, ‘Jerusalem must be destroyed! We want to see this city [when it becomes ruins]!’
12 Song chúng nó không biết ý tưởng Đức Giê-hô-va, không hiểu mưu của Ngài; vì Ngài đã nhóm chúng nó lại như những bó lúa đến nơi sân đạp lúa.
But they do not know what [I], Yahweh, think, and they do not understand what I plan: I will gather them [and punish them] like [SIM] [farmers] thresh grain on the ground.
13 Vậy, hỡi con gái Si-ôn, hãy chổi dậy, khá giày đạp! Vì ta sẽ làm cho sừng ngươi nên sắt, vó ngươi nên đồng; ngươi sẽ nghiền nát nhiều dân, và ta sẽ dâng lợi của chúng nó cho Đức Giê-hô-va, của cải chúng nó cho Chúa trên khắp đất.
So, you people of Jerusalem, rise up and punish [MET] [the nations who oppose you]. I will cause you [to be very strong], [as if] [MET] you had horns made of iron, [as if] [MET] you had hoofs made of bronze; and you will crush many nations. And [then you will take] from your enemies the valuable things that they have taken [from other countries], and you will dedicate those things to [me, the one who is] the Lord of all [the people on] the earth.”
