1 Sao Chúa đã nổi giận, vầy mây che khuất con gái Si-ôn? Ngài đã ném sự đẹp đẽ Y-sơ-ra-ên từ trên trời xuống đất. Trong ngày thạnh nộ, Ngài chẳng nhớ đến bệ chân mình.
Aleph. Hou hath the Lord hilid the douyter of Sion with derknesse in his strong veniaunce? he hath caste doun fro heuene in to erthe the noble citee of Israel; and bithouyte not on the stool of hise feet, in the dai of his strong veniaunce.
2 Chúa đã nuốt đi, chẳng thương xót, hết thảy chỗ ở của Gia-cốp. Ngài nhân giận đã đổ đồn lũy con gái Giu-đa; Ngài đã xô cho đổ xuống đất, làm nhục nước và quan trưởng trong nước.
Beth. The Lord castide doun, and sparide not alle the faire thingis of Jacob; he distried in his strong veniaunce the strengthis of the virgyn of Juda, and castide doun in to erthe; he defoulide the rewme, and the princes therof.
3 Trong cơn nóng giận, Ngài chặt hết sừng của Y-sơ-ra-ên. Ngài đã rút tay hữu lại từ trước mặt kẻ nghịch thù. Ngài đã đốt cháy Gia-cốp như lửa hừng thiêu nuốt cả tư bề.
Gymel. He brak in the ire of his strong veniaunce al the horn of Israel; he turnede a bak his riyt hond fro the face of the enemy; and he kyndlide in Jacob, as fier of flawme deuowrynge in cumpas.
4 Ngài giương cung ra như kẻ thù; giơ tay hữu lên, đứng như kẻ nghịch. Ngài đã giết hết, những kẻ làm vui mắt. Trong trại con gái Si-ôn, Ngài đã đổ giận ra như lửa.
Deleth. He as an enemye bente his bouwe, he as an aduersarie made stidfast his riyt hond; and he killide al thing that was fair in siyt in the tabernacle of the douytir of Sion; he schedde out his indignacioun as fier.
5 Chúa đã trở nên như kẻ nghịch đã nuốt Y-sơ-ra-ên; Nuốt cả cung đền, phá tan đồn lũy; Làm cho con gái Giu-đa thêm tang chế thảm thương.
He. The Lord is maad as an enemy; he castide doun Israel, he castide doun alle the wallis therof; he destriede the strengthis therof, and fillide in the douyter of Juda a man maad low, and a womman maad low.
6 Ngài đã cất nhà tạm mình đi cách mạnh bạo như thuộc về vườn; lại đã hủy nơi hội họp Ngài. Tại Si-ôn, Đức Giê-hô-va đã khiến ngày hội trọng thể cùng Sa-bát bị quên đi; Trong cơn nóng giận, Ngài khinh dể vua và thầy tế lễ.
Vau. And he scateride his tent as a gardyn, he distried his tabernacle; the Lord yaf to foryetyng in Sion a feeste dai, and sabat; and the kyng and prest in to schenschipe, and in to the indignacioun of his strong veniaunce.
7 Đức Giê-hô-va đã bỏ bàn thờ, lại gớm nơi thánh; Ngài đã phó thành quách cung điện Si-ôn vào trong tay quân nghịch. Chúng nó làm om sòm trong nhà Đức Giê-hô-va như trong ngày hội trọng thể.
Zai. The Lord puttide awei his auter, he curside his halewyng; he bitook in to the hondis of enemy the wallis of the touris therof; thei yauen vois in the hous of the Lord, as in a solempne dai.
8 Đức Giê-hô-va đã định phá hủy tường thành của con gái Si-ôn; Ngài đã giăng dây mực, chẳng ngừng tay về sự phá diệt; Ngài làm cho lũy và tường thảm sầu hao mòn cùng nhau.
Heth. The Lord thouyte to distrie the wal of the douyter of Sion; he stretchide forth his coorde, and turnede not awei his hond fro perdicioun; the forwal, ether the outerward, mourenyde, and the wal was distried togidere.
9 Các cửa nó sụp trong đất; Ngài đã phá và bẻ các then chốt. Vua và quan trưởng nó ở giữa các nước là nơi chẳng có pháp luật! Chính mình các tiên tri chẳng tìm được từ Đức Giê-hô-va sự hiện thấy chi.
Teth. The yatis therof ben piyt in the erthe, he loste and al to-brak the barris therof; the kyng therof and the princes therof among hethene men; the lawe is not, and the profetis therof founden not of the Lord a visioun.
10 Các kẻ già cả gái Si-ôn nín lặng ngồi dưới đất; Đầu đổ tro bụi, mình mặc bao gai. Các gái đồng trinh Giê-ru-sa-lem gục đầu đến đất.
Joth. Thei saten in erthe, the elde men of the douytir of Sion weren stille; thei bispreynten her heedis with aische, the eldere men of Juda ben girt with hairis; the virgyns of Juda castiden doun to erthe her heedis.
11 Mắt ta hao mòn vì chảy nước mắt, lòng ta bối rối; Gan ta đổ trên đất, vì sự hủy diệt con gái dân ta. Vì con trẻ và các con đang bú, ngất đi nơi các đường phố trong thành.
Caph. Myn iyen failiden for teeris, myn entrails weren disturblid; my mawe was sched out in erthe on the sorewe of the douyter of my puple; whanne a litil child and soukynge failide in the stretis of the citee.
12 Chúng nó nói cùng mẹ mình rằng: tìm thóc và rượu ở đâu? Khi ngất đi như kẻ bị thương, nơi các đường phố trong thành; Và khi chúng nó tắt hơi trên lòng mẹ mình.
Lameth. Thei seiden to her modris, Where is wheete, and wyn? whanne thei failiden as woundid men in the stretis of the citee; whanne thei senten out her soulis in the bosum of her modris.
13 Ta làm chứng gì cho ngươi? Hỡi gái Giê-ru-sa-lem, ta kể thí dụ chi? Ta lấy gì sánh cùng ngươi đặng yên ủi ngươi, hỡi con gái đồng trinh Si-ôn? Sự phá hại ngươi to như biển: ai sửa sang lại được?
Men. To whom schal Y comparisoun thee? ether to whom schal Y licne thee, thou douyter of Jerusalem? to whom schal Y make thee euene, and schal Y coumforte thee, thou virgyn, the douyter of Sion? for whi thi sorewe is greet as the see; who schal do medicyn to thee?
14 Các tiên tri ngươi xem cho ngươi những sự hiện thấy giả dối và ngu dại. Chẳng tỏ ra tội lỗi ngươi, đặng đem phu tù ngươi trở về. Chỉ thấy cho ngươi những lời tiên tri dối và sự làm cớ cho ngươi bị đuổi.
Nun. Thi profetis sien to thee false thingis, and fonned; and openyden not thi wickidnesse, that thei schulden stire thee to penaunce; but thei sien to thee false takyngis, and castyngis out.
15 Những người qua đường thấy ngươi thì vỗ tay; Xỉ báng lắc đầu vì thấy gái Giê-ru-sa-lem, Nói rằng: Có phải nầy là thành mà người ta gọi là sự đẹp đẽ trọn vẹn, sự vui mừng của cả đất chăng?
Sameth. Alle men passynge on the weie flappiden with hondis on thee; thei hissiden, and mouyden her heed on the douyter of Jerusalem; and seiden, This is the citee of perfit fairnesse, the ioie of al erthe.
16 Mọi kẻ thù nghịch ngươi hả miệng rộng nghịch cùng ngươi, Xỉ báng, nghiến răng, rằng: Chúng ta đã nuốt nó! Nầy chắc là ngày chúng ta trông đợi, chúng ta đã tìm được, đã thấy rồi!
Ayn. Alle thin enemyes openyden her mouth on thee; thei hissiden, and gnaistiden with her teeth, and seiden, We schulen deuoure; lo! this is the dai which we abididen, we founden, we sien.
17 Đức Giê-hô-va đã làm sự mình định; đã làm trọn lời mà xưa kia mình đã truyền; Ngài đã lật đổ chẳng thương xót, Đã làm cho kẻ thù ngươi vui vì cớ ngươi, khiến sừng kẻ địch ngươi cất lên.
Phe. The Lord dide tho thingis whiche he thouyte, he fillide hise word which he hadde comaundid fro elde daies; he distriede, and sparide not; and made glad the enemy on thee, and enhaunside the horn of thin enemyes.
18 Lòng dân ngươi kêu van đến Chúa. Hỡi tường thành con gái Si-ôn, hãy cho nước mắt ngươi ngày đêm chảy như sông! Đừng cho nghỉ ngơi; con ngươi mắt ngươi chẳng thôi.
Sade. The herte of hem criede to the Lord, on the wallis of the douyter of Syon; leede thou forth teeris as a stronde, bi dai and niyt; yyue thou not reste to thee, nether the appil of thin iye be stille.
19 Hãy chổi dậy kêu van lúc ban đêm, vừa đầu các phiên canh; Đổ lòng ra như nước ở trước mặt Chúa. Hãy giơ tay hướng về Chúa vì sự sống con nhỏ ngươi, chúng nó ngất đi vì đói nơi góc phố.
Coph. Rise thou togidere, herie thou in the nyyt, in the begynnyng of wakyngis; schede out thin herte as watir, bifore the siyt of the Lord; reise thin hondis to hym for the soulis of thi litle children, that failiden for hungur in the heed of alle meetyngis of weies.
20 Hỡi Đức Giê-hô-va, xin đoái xem! Ngài đã hề đãi ai như thế? Đàn bà há ăn trái ruột mình, tức con cái ẵm trong tay ư? Thầy tế lễ cùng tiên tri, há nên giết trong nơi thánh Chúa ư?
Res. Se thou, Lord, and byholde, whom thou hast maad so bare; therfor whether wymmen schulen ete her fruyt, litle children at the mesure of an hond? for a prest and profete is slayn in the seyntuarie of the Lord.
21 Những người trẻ và già nằm sải trên đất trong đường phố. Những gái trẻ và trai trẻ ta đều ngã dưới mũi gươm. Ngài giết đi nơi ngày thạnh nộ, tru diệt chẳng xót thương.
Syn. A child and an elde man laien on the erthe withoutforth; my virgyns and my yonge men fellen doun bi swerd; thou hast slayn hem in the dai of thi strong veniaunce, thou smotist `and didist no merci.
22 Ngài đã nhóm như ngày hội trọng thể những sự kinh hãi của tôi mọi bề. Nơi ngày thạnh nộ của Đức Giê-hô-va, chẳng ai thoát khỏi và sót lại. Những kẻ tôi đã bồng ẵm và thấy lớn lên, hết thảy đã bị quân nghịch hủy hại.
Thau. Thou clepidist, as to a solempne dai, hem that maden me aferd of cumpas; and noon was that ascapide in the dai of the strong veniaunce of the Lord, and was left; myn enemy wastide hem, whiche Y fedde, and nurschide up.
