Giê-rê-mi-a 37

1 Sê-đê-kia, con trai Giô-si-a, trị vì thay cho Giê-cô-nia, con trai Giê-hô-gia-kim, vì vua của Ba-by-lôn là Nê-bu-cát-nết-sa đã lập người lên làm vua đất Giu-đa.

And kyng Sedechie, the sone of Josie, regnede for Jeconye, the sone of Joachym, whom Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, made kyng in the lond of Juda.

2 Nhưng vua cùng bầy tôi và dân sự trong đất đều không nghe những lời mà Đức Giê-hô-va đã phán bởi miệng tiên tri Giê-rê-mi.

And he, and hise seruauntis, and his puple obeieden not to the wordis of the Lord, whiche he spak in the hond of Jeremye, the profete.

3 Vua Sê-đê-kia sai Giê-hu-can, con trai Sê-lê-mia, và Sô-phô-ni, con trai thầy tế lễ Ma-a-sê-gia, đến cùng tiên tri Giê-rê-mi mà nói rằng: Xin vì chúng tôi cầu Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời chúng ta.

And kyng Sedechie sente Jothal, the sone of Selemye, and Sofonye, the preest, the sone of Maasie, to Jeremye, the profete, and seide, Preie thou for vs oure Lord God.

4 Bấy giờ Giê-rê-mi còn đang đi lại trong dân sự, chưa bị bỏ tù.

Forsothe Jeremye yede freli in the myddis of the puple; for thei hadden not sente hym in to the kepyng of the prisoun.

5 Đạo binh của Pha-ra-ôn đã ra từ Ê-díp-tô; những người Canh-đê đang vây thành Giê-ru-sa-lem nghe tin đó, thì mở vây khỏi thành ấy.

Therfor the oost of Farao yede out of Egipt, and Caldeis, that bisegiden Jerusalem, herden sich a message, and yeden awei fro Jerusalem.

6 Bấy giờ, có lời Đức Giê-hô-va phán cho tiên tri Giê-rê-mi rằng:

And the word of the Lord was maad to Jeremye, the profete,

7 Giê-hô-va, Đức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên, phán như vầy: Các ngươi khá tâu cùng vua Giu-đa, là người đã sai các ngươi đến hỏi ta, rằng: Nầy, đạo binh của Pha-ra-ôn đã ra cứu các ngươi, thì sẽ lui về đất mình, tức trong Ê-díp-tô.

and seide, The Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, Thus ye schulen seie to the kyng of Juda, that sente you to axe me, Lo! the oost of Farao, which yede out to you in to help, schal turne ayen in to his lond, in to Egipt.

8 Những người Canh-đê sẽ trở lại, đánh thành nầy, chiếm lấy, và dùng lửa đốt đi.

And Caldeis schulen come ayen, and schulen fiyte ayens this citee, and schulen take it, and schulen brenne it bi fier.

9 Đức Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Các ngươi chớ tự dối mình mà rằng: Người Canh-đê chắc sẽ đi khỏi chúng ta; vì chúng nó sẽ không dời khỏi đâu.

The Lord seith these thingis, Nyle ye disseyue youre soulis, seiynge, Caldeis goynge schulen go a wey, and schulen departe fro vs; for thei schulen not go a wei.

10 Dầu các ngươi đánh cả đạo binh của người Canh-đê đến đánh trận nghịch cùng các ngươi, trong chúng nó chỉ còn lại những kẻ bị thương tích, nhưng ai nấy cũng sẽ từ trong trại mình dấy lên mà dùng lửa đốt thành nầy.

But thouy ye sleen al the oost of Caldeis, that fiyten ayens you, and summe woundid men of hem be left, ech man schal rise fro his tente, and thei schulen brenne this citee bi fier.

11 Khi đạo binh người Canh-đê mở vây khỏi thành Giê-ru-sa-lem, vì sợ đạo binh Pha-ra-ôn,

Therfor whanne the oost of Caldeis hadde goon awei fro Jerusalem, for the oost of Farao, Jeremye yede out of Jerusalem,

12 thì Giê-rê-mi ra khỏi Giê-ru-sa-lem đặng đi trong đất Bên-gia-min, để nhận phần của mình giữa dân đó.

to go in to the lond of Beniamyn, and to departe there the possessioun in the siyt of citeseyns.

13 Nhưng lúc đến cửa Bên-gia-min, thì có người đốc canh tên là Gi-rê-gia, con trai Sê-lê-mia, cháu Ha-na-nia, ở đó; tên nầy bắt tiên tri Giê-rê-mi mà rằng: Ngươi là kẻ hàng đầu người Canh-đê!

And whanne he was comun to the yate of Beniamyn, ther was a kepere of the yate bi whiles, Jerie bi name, the sone of Selemye, sone of Ananye; and he took Jeremye, the prophete, and seide, Thou fleest to Caldeis.

14 Giê-rê-mi đáp rằng: Nói bướng! ta không hàng đầu người Canh-đê đâu. Nhưng Gi-rê-gia không nghe, cứ bắt Giê-rê-mi mà dắt đến trước mặt các quan trưởng.

And Jeremye answeride, It is fals; Y fle not to Caldeis. And he herde not Jeremye, but Jerie took Jeremye, and brouyte hym to the princes.

15 Các quan trưởng giận Giê-rê-mi; bèn đánh đòn và giam trong nhà thơ ký Giô-na-than; vì người ta lấy nhà đó làm cái ngục.

Wherfor the princes weren wrooth ayens Jeremye, and beeten hym, and senten hym in to the prisoun, that was in the hous of Jonathas, the scryuen; for he was souereyn on the prisoun.

16 Giê-rê-mi bị bỏ trong ngục, trong buồng tối như vậy, và người ở đó lâu ngày.

Therfor Jeremye entride in to the hous of the lake, and in to the prisoun of trauel; and Jeremye sat there manye daies.

17 Đoạn, vua Sê-đê-kia sai đem Giê-rê-mi ra, và hỏi kín người tại trong cung mình, rằng: Đức Giê-hô-va có phán lời gì chăng? Giê-rê-mi thưa: Có, đoạn tiếp rằng: Vua sẽ bị nộp trong tay vua Ba-by-lôn.

Therfor kyng Sedechie sente, and took hym a wei, and axide hym priuyli in his hous, and seide, Gessist thou, whether a word is of the Lord? And Jeremye seide, Ther is. And Jeremye seide, Thou schalt be bitakun in to the hond of the kyng of Babiloyne.

18 Kế đó, Giê-rê-mi nói cùng vua Sê-đê-kia rằng: Tôi có phạm tội gì nghịch cùng vua, bầy tôi của vua, và dân nầy, mà bỏ tù tôi?

And Jeremye seide to Sedechie, the kyng, What haue Y synned to thee, and to thi seruauntis, and to thi puple, for thou hast sent me in to the hous of prisoun?

19 Các tiên tri đã nói tiên tri rằng: Vua Ba-by-lôn sẽ không đến đánh các ngươi, đánh đất nầy, thì nay ở đâu?

Where ben youre profetis, that profesieden to you, and seiden, The king of Babiloyne schal not come on you, and on this lond?

20 Bây giờ, Hỡi vua, chúa tôi, xin hãy nghe, mong rằng lời cầu xin của tôi được vua nhận lấy! Xin chớ giao tôi lại trong nhà thơ ký Giô-na-than, kẻo tôi sẽ chết tại đó.

Now therfor, my lord the kyng, Y biseche, here thou, my preier be worth in thi siyt, and sende thou not me ayen in to the hous of Jonathas, the scryuen, lest Y die there.

21 Vua Sê-đê-kia bèn truyền giữ Giê-rê-mi trong nơi hành lang lính canh, mỗi ngày phát cho một chiếc bánh của phố hàng bánh, cho đến chừng bánh trong thành hết trơn. Giê-rê-mi ở trong hành lang lính canh là như vậy.

Therfor Sedechie comaundide, that Jeremye schulde be bitakun in to the porche of the prisoun, and that a cake of breed schulde be youun to hym ech dai, outakun seew, til alle looues of the citee weren wastid; and Jeremye dwellide in the porche of the prisoun.
