I-sai-a 8
1 Đức Giê-hô-va phán cùng tôi rằng: Hãy lấy một cái bảng rộng và viết lên trên bằng bút loài người rằng: Ma-he-Sa-la-Hát-Bát.
And the Lord seide to me, Take to thee a greet book, and write ther ynne with the poyntil of man, Swiftli drawe thou awei spuylis, take thou prey soone.
2 Tôi đem theo những kẻ làm chứng đáng tin, tức là U-ri, thầy tế lễ, và Xa-cha-ri, con trai của Giê-bê-rê-kia.
And Y yaf to me faithful witnessis, Vrie, the prest, and Sacarie, the sone of Barachie.
3 Đoạn, tôi đến nhà nữ tiên tri; người chịu thai và sanh một con trai. Đức Giê-hô-va bèn phán cùng tôi rằng: Hãy đặt tên nó là Ma-he-Sa-la-Hát-Bát
And Y neiyede to the profetesse; and sche conseyuede, and childide a sone. And the Lord seide to me, Clepe thou his name Haste thou to drawe awei spuylis, haaste thou for to take prey.
4 Vì, trước khi con trẻ biết kêu: Cha ơi! mẹ ơi! thì người ta sẽ cất lấy sự giàu có Đa-mách và của cướp Sa-ma-ri trước mặt vua A-si-ri.
For whi bifor that the child kan clepe his fadir and his modir, the strengthe of Damask schal be doon awei, and the spuylis of Samarie, bifor the kyng of Assiriens.
5 Đức Giê-hô-va lại phán cùng tôi rằng:
And the Lord addide to speke yit to me, and he seide,
6 Vì dân nầy đã khinh bỏ các dòng nước Si-lô-ê chảy dịu, và ưa thích Rê-xin cùng con trai của Rê-ma-lia.
For that thing that this puple hath caste awei the watris of Siloe, that goen with silence, and hath take more Rasyn, and the sone of Romelie, for this thing lo!
7 Vì cớ đó, nầy, Chúa sẽ khiến nước Sông mạnh và nhiều đến trên họ, tức là vua A-si-ri và cả oai vinh người; nó sẽ dấy lên khắp trên lòng sông, khỏa lên các bực;
the Lord schal brynge on hem the stronge and many watris of the flood, the king of Assiriens, and al his glorie; and he schal stiye on alle the stremes therof, and he schal flowe on alle the ryueris therof.
8 chảy vào Giu-đa, tràn lan chảy xói, ngập cho đến cổ; hỡi Em-ma-nu-ên, nó sè cánh ra che cả xứ ngươi.
And he schal go flowynge bi Juda, and he schal passe til to the necke, and schal come; and the spredyng forth of hise wyngis schal be, and schal fille the breede of thi lond, thou Emanuel.
9 Hỡi các dân, hãy kêu la và bị tan nát! Hỡi các ngươi hết thảy, là dân các phương xa, hãy lắng tai! Hãy nịt lưng các ngươi, và bị tan nát; hãy nịt lưng các ngươi, và bị tan nát!
Puplis, be ye gaderid togidere, and be ye ouercomun; and alle londis afer, here ye. Be ye coumfortid, and be ye ouercomun; gird ye you, and be ye ouercomun;
10 Hãy toan mưu cùng nhau, nó sẽ nên hư không; hãy nói, lời các ngươi sẽ không đứng, vì Đức Chúa Trời ở cùng chúng ta.
take ye councel, and it schal be destried; speke ye a word, and it schal not be doon, for God is with vs.
11 Vì Đức Giê-hô-va dùng tay mạnh phán cùng ta, và dạy ta đừng noi theo đường dân ấy,
For whi the Lord seith these thingis to me, as he tauyte me in a stronge hond, that Y schulde not go in to the weie of this puple,
12 rằng: Khi dân nầy nói rằng: Kết đảng! thì các ngươi chớ nói rằng: Kết đảng! Chớ sợ điều nó sợ, và đừng kinh hãi.
and seide, Seie ye not, It is sweryng togidere, for whi alle thingis which this puple spekith is sweryng togidere; and drede ye not the ferdfulnesse therof, nether be ye aferd.
13 Hãy tôn Đức Giê-hô-va vạn quân là thánh; các ngươi chỉ nên sợ Ngài và kinh hãi Ngài.
Halowe ye the Lord hym silf of oostis; and he schal be youre inward drede, and he schal be youre ferdfulnesse, and he schal be to you in to halewyng.
14 Ngài sẽ là nơi thánh, nhưng cũng là hòn đá vấp ngã, vầng đó vướng mắc cho cả hai nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên, và là bẫy cùng lưới cho dân cư thành Giê-ru-sa-lem vậy.
Forsothe he schal be in to a stoon of hirtyng, and in to a stoon of sclaundre, to tweyne housis of Israel; in to a snare, and in to fallyng, to hem that dwellen in Jerusalem.
15 Nhiều người trong bọn họ sẽ vấp chân; sẽ té và giập nát; sẽ sa vào lưới và bị bắt.
And ful many of hem schulen offende, and schulen falle, and thei schulen be al to-brokun, and thei schulen be boundun, and schulen be takun.
16 Ngươi hãy gói lời chứng nầy, niêm phong luật pháp nầy trong môn đồ ta!
Bynde thou witnessyng, mark thou the lawe in my disciplis.
17 Tôi trông đợi Đức Giê-hô-va, là Đấng ẩn mặt Ngài khỏi nhà Gia-cốp, tôi vẫn ngóng trông Ngài!
Y schal abide the Lord, that hath hid his face fro the hous of Jacob, and Y schal abide hym.
18 Nầy, tôi đây, với con cái mà Đức Giê-hô-va đã ban cho tôi, là dấu và điềm trong Y-sơ-ra-ên, bởi Đức Giê-hô-va vạn quân ngự trên núi Si-ôn.
Lo! Y and my children, whiche the Lord yaf to me in to a signe, and greet wondur to Israel, of the Lord of oostis that dwellith in the hil of Sion.
19 Nếu có ai bảo các ngươi: Hãy cầu hỏi đồng bóng và thầy bói, là kẻ nói ríu rít líu lo, thì hãy đáp rằng: Một dân tộc há chẳng nên cầu hỏi Đức Chúa Trời mình sao? Há lại vì người sống mà hỏi kẻ chết sao?
And whanne thei seien to you, Axe ye of coniureris, and of false dyuynouris, that gnasten in her enchauntyngis, whether the puple schal not axe of her God a reuelacioun for quyke men and deed?
20 Hãy theo luật pháp và lời chứng! Nếu dân chẳng nói như vậy, chắc sẽ chẳng có rạng đông cho nó.
It is to go to the lawe more and to the witnessyng, that if thei seien not after this word, morewtide liyt schal not be to hem.
21 Nó sẽ đi lưu lạc trên đất, khốn khổ đói khát; trong cơn đói, nó bực mình, nguyền rủa vua và Đức Chúa Trời mình. Nó sẽ ngước xem trên cao;
And it schal passe bi that, and it schal falle doun, and it schal hungre. And whanne it schal hungre, it schal be wrooth, and schal curse his kyng and his God, and it schal biholde vpward.
22 rồi cúi xem dưới đất, chỉ thấy sự hoạn nạn và mờ mịt, chỉ thấy bóng buồn rầu: nó sẽ bị đuổi vào nơi tối tăm mờ mịt.
And it schal loke to the erthe, and lo! tribulacioun, and derknessis, and vnbyndyng, ether discoumfort, and angwisch, and myist pursuynge; and it schal not mow fle awei fro his angwisch.
