1 Gánh nặng về Mô-áp. Đang ban đêm, A-Mô-áp bị tàn phá và diệt mất; phải, trong ban đêm, Kiệt Mô-áp bị tàn phá và diệt mất!
The burden of Moab. Surely Ar of Moab was destroied, and brought to silece in a night: surely Kir of Moab was destroied, and brought to silence in a night.
2 Kìa, chúng lên nơi miếu các thần, đến Đi-hôn, trên các nơi cao mà khóc. Dân Mô-áp than vãn vì Nê-bô và Mê-đê-ba; mọi đầu đều sói, mọi râu đều cắt.
He shall goe vp to the temple, and to Dibon to the hie places to weepe: for Nebo and for Medeba shall Moab howle: vpon all their heades shalbe baldnesse, and euery beard shauen.
3 Thảy đều thắt bao gai trong các đường phố; thảy đều khóc lóc, sa nhiều nước mắt, trên nóc nhà và nơi sân chợ.
In their streetes shall they bee gilded with sackecloth: on the toppes of their houses, and in their streetes euery one shall howle, and come downe with weeping.
4 Hết-bôn và Ê-lê-a-lê kêu la, tiếng nghe thấu đến Gia-hát. Vậy nên linh chiến của Mô-áp đều than khóc, trong tâm thần run rẩy.
And Heshbon shall crie, and Elealeh: their voyce shall bee heard vnto Iahaz: therefore the warriers of Moab shall showt: the soule of euery one shall lament in him selfe.
5 Lòng ta ngậm ngùi vì Mô-áp; kẻ sang nó trốn chạy đến Xoa, và đến Ê-lát-Sê-li-sia. Vì họ vừa trèo lên đèo Lu-hít vừa khóc; vì bại hoại mà kêu van trên con đường Hô-rô-na-im.
Mine heart shall crie for Moab: his fugitiues shall flee vnto Zoar, an heiffer of three yere olde: for they shall goe vp with weeping by the mounting vp of Luhith: and by the way of Horonaim they shall raise vp a crie of destruction.
6 Các dòng nước ở Nim-rim cạn tắt; cỏ khô, cỏ non chẳng có, không còn một vật xanh nào.
For the waters of Nimrim shall be dried vp: therefore the grasse is withered, the herbes consumed, and there was no greene herbe.
7 Vậy nên, những của cải đã được, và những đồ báu đã chứa, họ đều mang sang khe liễu.
Therefore what euery man hath left, and their substance shall they beare to the brooke of the willowes.
8 Tiếng kêu khóc thảm thương nghe khắp chung quanh bờ cõi Mô-áp; tiếng van la thấu đến Ê-la-im, và đến Bê-e-Ê-lim.
For the crie went round about the borders of Moab: and the howling thereof vnto Eglaim, and the skriking thereof vnto Beer Elim,
9 Sông ngòi ở Đi-môn đầy những máu; vì ta sẽ còn thêm tai vạ cho Đi-môn, sai sư tử đuổi kịp những người Mô-áp thoát nạn, và những kẻ còn sót lại trong xứ.
Because the waters of Dimon shall be full of blood: for I will bring more vpon Dimon, euen lyons vpon him that escapeth of Moab, and to the remnant of the land.
