Xuất Hành 18
1 Giê-trô, thầy tế lễ xứ Ma-đi-an, ông gia của Môi-se, hay được mọi điều Đức Chúa Trời đã làm cho Môi-se cùng Y-sơ-ra-ên, là dân sự Ngài, và nghe Ngài đã dẫn dân ấy ra khỏi xứ Ê-díp-tô.
and to hear: hear Jethro priest Midian relative Moses [obj] all which to make: do God to/for Moses and to/for Israel people his for to come out: send LORD [obj] Israel from Egypt
2 Người bèn dẫn Sê-phô-ra, vợ Môi-se, đã cho trở về nhà cha,
and to take: take Jethro relative Moses [obj] Zipporah woman: wife Moses after parting gift her
3 cùng hai con trai, một tên là Ghẹt-sôn, vì Môi-se đã nói rằng: Tôi kiều ngụ nơi ngoại bang;
and [obj] two son: child her which name [the] one Gershom for to say sojourner to be in/on/with land: country/planet foreign
4 và một tên là Ê-li-ê-se, vì người lại có nói: Đức Chúa Trời của tổ phụ tôi đã vùa giúp và giải cứu tôi khỏi gươm Pha-ra-ôn.
and name [the] one Eliezer for God father my in/on/with helper my and to rescue me from sword Pharaoh
5 Vậy, Giê-trô, ông gia của Môi-se, đến với hai con trai và vợ Môi-se, thăm người nơi đồng vắng, chỗ đóng trại gần bên núi Đức Chúa Trời.
and to come (in): come Jethro relative Moses and son: child his and woman: wife his to(wards) Moses to(wards) [the] wilderness which he/she/it to camp there mountain: mount [the] God
6 Người bèn sai báo cùng Môi-se rằng: Ta là Giê-trô, ông gia của ngươi, ta cùng vợ ngươi và hai con trai nàng đến thăm ngươi.
and to say to(wards) Moses I relative your Jethro to come (in): come to(wards) you and woman: wife your and two son: child her with her
7 Môi-se ra đón rước ông gia mình, mọp xuống và hôn người, hỏi thăm nhau, rồi vào trại.
and to come out: come Moses to/for to encounter: meet relative his and to bow and to kiss to/for him and to ask man: anyone to/for neighbor his to/for peace: well-being and to come (in): come [the] tent [to]
8 Môi-se liền thuật cho ông gia mình biết mọi điều Đức Giê-hô-va vì Y-sơ-ra-ên đã làm cho Pha-ra-ôn và người Ê-díp-tô, mọi điều khổ nhọc xảy đến cho mình dọc đường và Đức Giê-hô-va đã giải thoát dân Y-sơ-ra-ên thế nào.
and to recount Moses to/for relative his [obj] all which to make: do LORD to/for Pharaoh and to/for Egypt upon because Israel [obj] all [the] hardship which to find them in/on/with way: journey and to rescue them LORD
9 Giê-trô lấy làm vui mừng về các ơn mà Đức Giê-hô-va đã làm cho Y-sơ-ra-ên, giải cứu dân ấy khỏi tay người Ê-díp-tô.
and to rejoice Jethro upon all [the] welfare which to make: do LORD to/for Israel which to rescue him from hand: power Egypt
10 Giê-trô nói rằng: Đáng ngợi khen Đức Giê-hô-va thay! là Đấng đã giải cứu các ngươi ra khỏi tay người Ê-díp-tô và tay Pha-ra-ôn, và giải cứu dân sự ra khỏi quyền của người Ê-díp-tô.
and to say Jethro to bless LORD which to rescue [obj] you from hand: owner Egypt and from hand: owner Pharaoh which to rescue [obj] [the] people from underneath: owning hand: owner Egypt
11 Bây giờ ta biết rằng Đức Giê-hô-va là lớn hơn hết các thần, vì khi người Ê-díp-tô cậy lòng kiêu ngạo dấy lên, thì Ngài thắng được chúng nó.
now to know for great: large LORD from all [the] God for in/on/with word: because which to boil upon them
12 Giê-trô, ông gia của Môi-se, bèn bày một của lễ thiêu và các lễ vật mà dâng cho Đức Chúa Trời; rồi A-rôn và các trưởng lão Y-sơ-ra-ên đến ăn bánh cùng ông gia của Môi-se, trước mặt Đức Chúa Trời.
and to take: bring Jethro relative Moses burnt offering and sacrifice to/for God and to come (in): come Aaron and all old: elder Israel to/for to eat food: bread with relative Moses to/for face: before [the] God
13 Qua ngày sau, Môi-se ra ngồi xét đoán dân sự; dân sự đứng chực trước mặt người từ sớm mai đến chiều.
and to be from morrow and to dwell Moses to/for to judge [obj] [the] people and to stand: stand [the] people upon Moses from [the] morning till [the] evening
14 Oâng gia thấy mọi điều người làm cho dân sự, bèn hỏi rằng: Con làm chi cùng dân sự đó? Sao con chỉ ngồi một mình, còn cả dân sự đứng chực trước mặt từ sớm mai cho đến chiều như vậy?
and to see: see relative Moses [obj] all which he/she/it to make: do to/for people and to say what? [the] word: thing [the] this which you(m. s.) to make: do to/for people why? you(m. s.) to dwell to/for alone you and all [the] people to stand upon you from morning till evening
15 Môi-se bèn thưa rằng: Aáy vì dân sự đến cùng tôi đặng hỏi ý Đức Chúa Trời.
and to say Moses to/for relative his for to come (in): come to(wards) me [the] people to/for to seek God
16 Khi nào họ có việc chi, thì đến cùng tôi, tôi xét đoán người nầy cùng người kia, và cho họ biết những mạng lịnh và luật pháp của Đức Chúa Trời.
for to be to/for them word: case to come (in): come to(wards) me and to judge between man: anyone and between neighbor his and to know [obj] statute: decree [the] God and [obj] instruction his
17 Nhưng ông gia lại nói rằng: Điều con làm đó chẳng tiện.
and to say relative Moses to(wards) him not pleasant [the] word: thing which you(m. s.) to make: do
18 Quả thật, con cùng dân sự ở với con sẽ bị đuối chẳng sai, vì việc đó nặng nề quá sức con, một mình gánh chẳng nổi.
to wither to wither also you(m. s.) also [the] people [the] this which with you for heavy from you [the] word: thing not be able to make: do him to/for alone you
19 Bây giờ, hãy nghe cha khuyên con một lời, cầu xin Đức Giê-hô-va phù hộ cho. Về phần con, hãy làm kẻ thay mặt cho dân sự trước mặt Đức Chúa Trời, và đem trình mọi việc cho Ngài hay.
now to hear: obey in/on/with voice my to advise you and to be God with you to be you(m. s.) to/for people opposite [the] God and to come (in): bring you(m. s.) [obj] [the] word: case to(wards) [the] God
20 Hãy lấy mạng lịnh và luật pháp Ngài mà dạy họ, chỉ cho biết con đường nào phải đi, và điều chi phải làm.
and to warn [obj] them [obj] [the] statute: decree and [obj] [the] instruction and to know to/for them [obj] [the] way: conduct to go: walk in/on/with her and [obj] [the] deed: work which to make: do [emph?]
21 Nhưng hãy chọn lấy trong vòng dân sự mấy người tài năng, kính sợ Đức Chúa Trời, chân thật, ghét sự tham lợi, mà lập lên trên dân sự, làm trưởng cai trị hoặc ngàn người, hoặc trăm người, hoặc năm mươi người, hoặc mười người,
and you(m. s.) to see from all [the] people human strength afraid God human truth: faithful to hate unjust-gain and to set: put upon them ruler thousand ruler hundred ruler fifty and ruler ten
22 đặng xét đoán dân sự hằng ngày. Nếu có việc can hệ lớn, họ hãy giải lên cho con; còn những việc nhỏ mọn, chính họ hãy xét đoán lấy. Hãy san bớt gánh cho nhẹ; đặng họ chia gánh cùng con.
and to judge [obj] [the] people in/on/with all time and to be all [the] word: thing [the] great: large to come (in): bring to(wards) you and all [the] word: thing [the] small to judge they(masc.) and to lighten from upon you and to lift: bear with you
23 Nếu con làm việc nầy, và Đức Chúa Trời ban lịnh cho con, con chắc sẽ chịu nổi được, và cả dân sự nầy sẽ đến chỗ mình bình yên.
if [obj] [the] word: thing [the] this to make: do and to command you God and be able to stand: stand and also all [the] people [the] this upon place his to come (in): come in/on/with peace
24 Môi-se vâng lời ông gia mình, làm y như mọi điều người đã dạy.
and to hear: hear Moses to/for voice relative his and to make: do all which to say
25 Vậy, Môi-se bèn chọn trong cả Y-sơ-ra-ên những người tài năng, lập lên trên dân sự, làm trưởng cai trị, hoặc ngàn người, hoặc trăm người, hoặc năm mươi người, hoặc mười người;
and to choose Moses human strength from all Israel and to give: make [obj] them head: leader upon [the] people ruler thousand ruler hundred ruler fifty and ruler ten
26 họ xét đoán dân sự hằng ngày. Các việc khó họ giãi lên cho Môi-se; nhưng chính họ xét lấy các việc nhỏ.
and to judge [obj] [the] people in/on/with all time [obj] [the] word: case [the] severe to come (in): bring [emph?] to(wards) Moses and all [the] word: case [the] small to judge they(masc.)
27 Đoạn, Môi-se để cho ông gia mình trở về xứ người.
and to send: depart Moses [obj] relative his and to go: went to/for him to(wards) land: country/planet his
