Ða-ni-ên 11
1 Trong năm đầu đời vua Đa-ri-út, người Mê-đi, ta đã dấy lên để giúp đỡ người và làm cho mạnh.
“And so, from the first year of Darius the Mede, I stood firm, so that he might be reinforced and strengthened.
2 Bây giờ ta sẽ cho ngươi biết sự chân thật. Nầy, còn có ba vua trong nước Phe-rơ-sơ sẽ dấy lên, lại vua thứ tư có nhiều của cải hơn hết thảy; và khi của cải làm cho vua đó nên mạnh, thì người xui giục mọi người nghịch cùng nước Gờ-réc.
And now I will announce to you the truth. Behold, up to a certain point, three kings will stand in Persia, and the fourth will be exceedingly enriched in power above them all. And when he has grown strong by his resources, he will stir up all against the kingdom of Greece.
3 Song sẽ có một vua mạnh dấy lên, lấy quyền lớn cai trị và làm theo ý mình.
But there will rise up a strong king, and he will rule with great power, and he will do what he pleases.
4 Khi vua ấy đã dấy lên, thì nước người bị xé và chia ra theo bốn gió của trời, nhưng không truyền lại cho con cháu, cũng không như quyền đã dùng mà cai trị trước nữa; vì nước người sẽ bị nhổ và phó cho người khác ngoài những người đó.
And when he has been firmly established, his kingdom will be shattered and will be divided towards the four winds of the heaven, but not to his posterity, nor according to his power with which he ruled. For his kingdom will be torn to pieces, even for the outsiders who have been expelled from these.
5 Vua phương nam sẽ được mạnh; nhưng một trong các tướng của vua sẽ được mạnh hơn vua, và có quyền cai trị; quyền người sẽ lớn lắm.
And the king of the South will be reinforced, yet one of his leaders will prevail over him, and he will rule with riches, for great is his domain.
6 Đến cuối cùng mấy năm, các vua đó sẽ đồng minh với nhau; công chúa vua phương nam đến cùng vua phương bắc để kết hòa hảo. Nhưng sức của cánh tay công chúa chắc không được lâu; quyền của vua phương bắc và cánh tay người cũng chẳng còn; nhưng công chúa và những kẻ đã dẫn nó đến, và người sanh ra nó, cùng kẻ đã giúp đỡ nó trong lúc đó đều sẽ bị nộp.
And after the end of years, they will form a federation, and the daughter of the king of the South will come to the king of the North to make friendship, but she will not obtain the strength of arms, neither will her offspring stand firm, and she will be handed over, along with those who brought her, her young men, and those who comforted her in these times.
7 Một chồi ra từ rễ công chúa, dấy lên để nối ngôi nó, mà đến cùng cơ binh, vào trong đồn lũy vua phương bắc, đánh và thắng được.
And a transplant from the germination of her roots will stand up, and he will come with an army, and will enter into the province of the king of the North, and he will abuse them, and will hold it fast.
8 Người bắt cả các thần họ làm phu tù đem sang nước Ê-díp-tô, cả các tượng đúc và các khí mạnh bằng vàng bằng bạc nữa; đoạn trong vài năm, người sẽ không đánh vua phương bắc.
And, in addition, he will carry away captive into Egypt their gods, and their graven images, and likewise their precious vessels of gold and silver. He will prevail against the king of the North.
9 Vua nầy sẽ tiến vào nước vua phương nam, nhưng lại trở về xứ mình.
And the king of the South will enter into the kingdom, and will return to his own land.
10 Hai con trai vua phương bắc đi chiến trận, nhóm một đoàn cơ binh lớn, sẽ đến, sẽ tràn ra và đi qua; chúng nó sẽ trở về và chiến trận cho đến đồn lũy vua phương nam.
But his sons will be challenged, and they will assemble a multitude of very many forces. And he will arrive rushing and overflowing. And he will be turned back, and he will be enraged, and he will join the battle in his redness.
11 Bấy giờ vua phương nam tức giận, ra ngoài để đánh nhau cùng vua phương bắc, sắp sẵn sàng một cơ binh đông, và cơ binh của vua phương bắc phải phó vào tay người.
And the king of the South, having being challenged, will go forth and will fight against the king of the North, and he will prepare an exceedingly great multitude, and a multitude will be given into his hand.
12 Cơ binh đó tan rồi, thì lòng vua phương nam sẽ lên kiêu ngạo. Người sẽ làm cho ngã xuống bấy nhiêu vạn người, nhưng không được thắng.
And he will seize a multitude, and his heart will be exalted, and he will cast down many thousands, but he will not prevail.
13 Vua phương bắc sẽ trở về, thâu nhóm cơ binh đông hơn nữa; và đến cuối cùng các kỳ tức là các năm, người sẽ đến với một cơ binh lớn và đồ rất nhiều.
For the king of the North will change strategy and will prepare a multitude much greater than before, and at the end of times and years, he will rush forward with a great army and exceedingly great resources.
14 Trong khi ấy nhiều người nổi lên nghịch cùng vua phương nam, và các con cái của kẻ hung dữ trong dân ngươi sẽ dấy lên, hầu cho ứng nghiệm sự hiện thấy, nhưng họ sẽ ngã xuống.
And in those times, many will rise up against the king of the South. And likewise the sons of the deceivers among your people will extol themselves, so as to fulfill the vision, and they will collapse.
15 Vậy vua phương bắc sẽ đến; dựng đồn lũy, lấy một thành vững bền; và quân phương nam, dầu cho đến quân tinh nhuệ nữa, cũng không thể đứng vững được. Vì chẳng có sức nào chống lại được.
And the king of the North will arrive and will transport siege works, and he will seize the most fortified cities. And the arms of the South will not withstand him, and his elect will rise up to resist, but the strength will not.
16 Nhưng kẻ đến đánh nó sẽ làm tùy ý mình, và chẳng có ai đang lại với người. Người sẽ đứng trong đất vinh hiển, cầm sự hủy phá trong tay.
And when he arrives, he will do just as he pleases, and there will be none who stand against his face. And he will stand in the illustrious land, and it will be consumed by his hand.
17 Người quyết lòng lấy sức của cả nước mình mà đến; đoạn, người sẽ giao hòa với nó, và sẽ làm ứng nghiệm; nó sẽ đem con gái của đàn bà cho nó, để làm bại hoại; nhưng nó sẽ không đứng được và cũng không thuộc về người.
And he will set his face to strive to hold his entire kingdom, and he will make fair conditions with him. And he will give him a daughter among women, so as to overthrow it. But she will not stand, neither will she be for him.
18 Đoạn, người quay sang các cù lao và chiếm lấy nhiều nơi. Nhưng một vua sẽ làm cho thôi sự sỉ nhục người làm ra, và còn làm cho sự đó lại đổ trên người.
And he will turn his face towards the islands, and he will seize many. And he will cause the leader of his reproach to cease, and his reproach will be turned around for him.
19 Đoạn người sẽ trở mặt về các đồn lũy đất mình; nhưng chắc phải vấp và ngã, và chẳng được tìm thấy nữa.
And he will turn his face to the empire of his own land, and he will strike, and will overthrow, but he will not succeed.
20 Bấy giờ có một vua khác sẽ nối ngôi người, sai kẻ bức hiếp đi qua nơi vinh hiển của nước; nhưng trong mấy ngày người sẽ phải bại hoại, chẳng vì cơn giận dữ hay trận chiến tranh nào cả.
And there will stand up in his place one who is most worthless and unworthy of kingly honor. And in a short time, he will be worn out, but not in fury, nor in battle.
21 Lại có kẻ đáng khinh dể lên thay vì vua đó, mà người ta không tôn người làm vua; nhưng người sẽ đến lúc yên ổn, dùng lời siểm nịnh mà mưu chiếm lấy nước.
And there will stand up in his place the despicable one, and he will not be assigned the honor of a king. And he will arrive in secret, and he will obtain the kingdom by deceitfulness.
22 Những cơ binh đầy tràn, sẽ bị thua và vỡ tan trước người, cả đến vua của sự giao ước cũng vậy.
And the arms of the fighting will be assaulted before his face and will be shattered, and, in addition, the leader of the federation.
23 Dầu có lập hòa ước với vua kia, người cũng làm việc cách dối trá; đem quân đến và được mạnh bởi một dân ít người;
And, after making friends, he will trick him, and he will go up and will overcome with a small people.
24 người sẽ nhân lúc yên ổn chiếm lấy các khu đất tốt nhất trong tỉnh, và sẽ làm điều mà tổ phụ và liệt tổ người chưa hề làm; lấy những đồ đã cướp đã giựt được và của cải mà chia cho những người theo mình; lập mưu đánh các đồn lũy, nhưng chỉ trong một thì mà thôi.
And he will enter into rich and resourceful cities, and he will do what his fathers never did, nor his fathers’ fathers. He will scatter their spoils, and their prey, and their riches, and will form a plan against the most steadfast, and this until a time.
25 Đoạn, vua đó lại phấn chấn sức mình và lòng mình, dùng một cơ binh lớn đánh vua phương nam. Vua phương nam sẽ đi đánh giặc bằng một cơ binh lớn và mạnh lắm; nhưng người không thể chống cự lại được, bởi vì sẽ có người ta lập mưu nghịch cùng người.
And his strength and his heart will be enraged against the king of the South with a great army. And the king of the South will be provoked into going to war by having many allies and exceedingly good circumstances, and yet these will not stand, for they will form plans against him.
26 Những kẻ ăn trong bàn vua sẽ làm cho vua bại hoại; cơ binh người sẽ tràn ra và nhiều người bị giết và ngã xuống.
And those who eat bread with him will crush him, and his army will be suppressed, and very many will die, having been executed.
27 Có hai vua ấy, trong lòng chỉ chực làm hại; ngồi cùng bàn tiệc mà nói dối; song sự đó chẳng thành, vì sẽ còn có sự cuối cùng nơi kỳ đã định.
And the heart of two kings will be similar, to do harm, and they will speak lies at one table, but they will not succeed, because as yet the end is for another time.
28 Vua sẽ trở về đất mình với nhiều của cải lắm; lòng người đã rắp đối địch cùng giao ước thánh, và người sẽ làm theo ý mình, và trở về đất mình.
And he will return to his land with many resources. And his heart will be against the holy testament, and he will act, and he will return to his own land.
29 Đến kỳ đã định, người sẽ trở lại và vào phương nam; nhưng lần sau không giống như lần trước.
At the appointed time, he will return, and he will approach the South, but the latter time will not be like the former.
30 Vì những tàu ở Kít-tim sẽ đến nghịch cùng người; cho nên người sẽ lo buồn và trở về. Người sẽ tức giận nghịch cùng giao ước thánh, và làm theo ý mình. Người sẽ trở về, và coi trọng những kẻ bỏ giao ước thánh.
And the Greek warships and the Romans will come upon him, and he will be pierced, and will retreat, and will have scorn against the testament of the sanctuary, and he will act. And he will return and will consult their adversaries, who have forsaken the covenant of the sanctuary.
31 Những quân lính của người mộ sẽ dấy lên, làm ô uế nơi thánh cùng đồn lũy, cất của lễ thiêu hằng dâng, và lập sự gớm ghiếc làm ra sự hoang vu.
And arms will take his side, and they will pollute the sanctuary of the strength, and they will take away the continual sacrifice and will replace it with the abomination of desolation.
32 Người dùng lời nịnh hót mà dỗ dành những kẻ làm sự dữ nghịch cùng giao ước; nhưng dân sự biết Đức Chúa Trời mình sẽ mạnh mẽ mà làm.
And the impious within the testament will imitate deceitfully, but the people, knowing their God, will persevere and will act.
33 Những kẻ khôn sáng trong dân sẽ dạy dỗ nhiều người; nhưng họ sẽ phải ngã bởi gươm, bởi ngọn lửa, bởi sự phu tù và sự cướp bóc lâu ngày.
And the teachers among the people will teach many, but they will be ruined by the sword, and by fire, and by captivity, and by assaults for many days.
34 Trong khi họ sa ngã, họ cũng sẽ được cứu một ít; song nhiều kẻ sẽ lấy lời nịnh hót mà theo họ.
And when they have fallen, they will be supported with a little help, but many will apply to them deceitfully.
35 Trong những kẻ khôn sáng sẽ có mấy người sa ngã, hầu cho luyện lọc chúng nó, làm cho tinh sạch và trắng, cho đến kỳ sau rốt, vì việc đó còn có kỳ nhất định.
And some of the learned will be ruined, that they may be kindled and chosen and purified, up to the predetermined time, because there will be still another time.
36 Vua sẽ làm theo ý muốn mình; kiêu ngạo và lên mình cao hơn hết các thần; nói những lời lạ lùng nghịch cùng Đức Chúa Trời của các thần. Người sẽ được may mắn cho đến khi cơn thạnh nộ Chúa được trọn, bởi vì điều gì đã có chỉ định thì phải ứng nghiệm.
And the king will act according to his will, and he will be lifted up and will be extolled against every god. And he will speak great things against the God of gods, and he will control, until the passion is completed. Once accomplished, the limit is reached with certainty.
37 Người sẽ không đoái xem các thần của tổ phụ mình, cùng kẻ mà đàn bà vẫn mến. Người sẽ chẳng coi thần nào ra gì; bởi vì người tôn mình lên cao hơn hết cả.
And he will give no thought to the God of his fathers, and he will be in the desire of women, and he will not attend to any gods, because he will rise up against all things.
38 Nhưng người sẽ ở chỗ mình tôn kính thần của các đồn lũy; người sẽ lấy vàng, bạc, đá quí, và những vật tốt đẹp mà tôn kính thần tổ phụ mình không biết.
But he will do homage to the god Maozim in his place, and, a god whom his fathers did not know, he will worship with gold, and silver, and precious stones, and costly things.
39 Người sẽ cậy thần lạ giúp cho mà lấy các đồn lũy vững bền, và người sẽ ban thêm sự vinh hiển cho kẻ nào nhận mình. Người cho họ cai trị nhiều người, và chịu tiền bạc mà chia đất.
And he will act to reinforce Maozim with an alien god, of whom he has become aware, and he will increase their glory, and will give them power over many, and he will distribute land for free.
40 Đến kỳ sau rốt, vua phương nam sẽ tranh chiến cùng người. Vua phương bắc đem xe binh, lính kỵ và nhiều tàu, xông đến vua đó như cơn gió lốc. Người sẽ lấn vào các nước, tràn tới và đi qua.
And, at the predetermined time, the king of the South will fight against him, and the king of the North will come against him like a tempest, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with a great fleet, and he will enter into the lands, and will crush and pass through.
41 Người sẽ vào đến đất vinh hiển, và nhiều nước sẽ bị đổ. Song những người Ê-đôm, người Mô-áp và những kẻ làm đầu trong dân Am-môn sẽ thoát khỏi tay người.
And he will enter into the glorious land, and many will fall. But only these will be saved from his hand: Edom, and Moab, and the first part of the sons of Ammon.
42 Người sẽ giang tay ra trên các nước, và đất Ê-díp-tô sẽ không thoát khỏi.
And he will cast his hand upon the lands, and the land of Egypt will not escape.
43 Người sẽ chiếm lấy các của báu, vàng và bạc, cùng hết thảy đồ quí báu của Ê-díp-tô. Dân Li-by và dân Ê-thi-ô-bi sẽ theo sau người.
And he will rule over the treasure chests of gold, and silver, and all the precious things of Egypt, and likewise he will pass through Libya and Ethiopia.
44 Song những tin tức từ phương đông và phương bắc sẽ đến làm cho người bối rối; người sẽ giận lắm mà đi ra để tàn phá và hủy diệt nhiều người.
And rumors from the East and from the North will trouble him. And he will arrive with a great multitude to destroy and to execute many.
45 Người sẽ đặt các trại của cung mình ở khoảng giữa biển cùng núi vinh hiển và thánh. Song người sẽ đến sự cuối cùng mình, và chẳng có ai đến giúp đỡ người cả.
And he will fasten his tabernacle, Apadno, between the seas, upon an illustrious and holy mountain, and he will come even to its summit, and no one will help him.”
