I Sa-mu-ên 17
1 Dân Phi-li-tin nhóm hiệp các đạo binh mình đặng làm giặc, chúng nó hiệp tại Sô-cô, thuộc về xứ Giu-đa, và đóng trại tại Ê-phê-Đa-mim, giữa Sô-cô và A-xê-ca.
And they gathered [the] Philistines armies their for battle and they were gathered Socoh which [belongs] to Judah and they encamped between Socoh and between Azekah in Ephes Dammim.
2 Sau-lơ và người Y-sơ-ra-ên cũng nhóm hiệp, đóng trại tại trũng Ê-la, và dàn trận cùng dân Phi-li-tin.
And Saul and [the] man of Israel they were gathered and they encamped in [the] valley of Elah and they deployed battle to meet [the] Philistines.
3 Dân Phi-li-tin đứng trên núi phía nầy, còn Y-sơ-ra-ên đứng trên núi phía kia; trũng phân cách họ.
And [the] Philistines [were] standing to the mountain from this and Israel [were] standing to the mountain from this and the valley [was] between them.
4 Bấy giờ, có một người lực sĩ từ trại quân Phi-li-tin mà ra, tên là Gô-li-át, quê ở Gát; bề cao người sáu thước một gang.
And he came out [the] man of the champions from [the] camps of [the] Philistines [was] Goliath name his from Gath height his [was] six cubits and a span.
5 Người đội mão đồng trên đầu, mặc áo giáp đồng vảy cá, nặng năm ngàn siếc-lơ,
And a helmet of bronze [was] on head his and body armor of scales he [was] clothed and [the] weight of the body armor [was] five thousand shekels bronze.
6 và những ủng đồng; sau lưng treo một cây lao đồng.
And leg armor of bronze [was] on feet his and a javelin of bronze [was] between shoulders his.
7 Cán của cây lao hắn như cây trục của thợ dệt cửi, và mũi của cây lao nầy nặng sáu trăm siếc-lơ. Kẻ vác binh khí hắn đi trước hắn.
(And [the] wood of *Q(K)*) spear his [was] like a beam of weavers and [the] blade of spear his [was] six hundred shekels iron and [the] bearer of the body shield [was] walking before him.
8 Vậy, hắn ra đứng kêu la cùng đội ngũ Y-sơ-ra-ên rằng: Cớ sao các ngươi ra bày trận? Ta há chẳng phải là người Phi-li-tin, còn các ngươi, là tôi tớ của Sau-lơ sao? Hãy chọn một người trong các ngươi xuống đấu địch cùng ta.
And he stood and he called out to [the] battle lines of Israel and he said to them why? do you come out to deploy battle ¿ not [am] I the Philistine and [are] you? servants of Saul commission for yourselves a man so he may come down to me.
9 Nếu khi đấu địch cùng ta, hắn trổi hơn và giết ta, thì chúng ta sẽ làm tôi tớ các ngươi; nhưng nếu ta trổi hơn hắn và ta giết hắn, thì các ngươi sẽ làm tôi chúng ta, và hầu việc chúng ta.
If he will be able to fight with me and he will strike down me and we will become of you slaves and if I I will prevail to him and I will strike down him and you will become of us slaves and you will serve us.
10 Người Phi-li-tin lại còn nói rằng: Phải, ngày nay ta thách lời nầy cho đội ngũ Y-sơ-ra-ên: Hãy khiến một người ra, đặng chúng ta đấu địch cùng nhau.
And he said the Philistine I I defy [the] battle lines of Israel the day this give to me a man so let us fight together.
11 Sau-lơ và cả Y-sơ-ra-ên nghe những lời của người Phi-li-tin, thì lấy làm hoảng hồn, sợ hãi lắm.
And he heard Saul and all Israel [the] words of the Philistine these and they were dismayed and they were afraid exceedingly.
12 Vả, Đa-vít, là con trai của Y-sai, người Ê-phơ-rát kia, quê ở Bết-lê-hem trong xứ Giu-đa, người có tám con trai; trong đời Sau-lơ, Y-sai đã cao tuổi rồi.
And David [was] a son of a man an Ephrathite this from Beth-lehem Judah and name his [was] Jesse and [belonged] to him eight sons and the man in [the] days of Saul he was old he had gone among men.
13 Ba con trai cả của Y-sai đã theo Sau-lơ nơi chiến trận: tên ba con trai ấy là: con cả Ê-li-áp, con thứ nhì A-bi-na-đáp, và con thứ ba Sa-ma.
And they had gone [the] three [the] sons of Jesse old they had gone after Saul to battle and [the] name of - [the] three of sons his who they had gone in the battle [was] Eliab the firstborn and second his [was] Abinadab and the third [was] Shammah.
14 Đa-vít là con út. Khi ba anh người đã theo Sau-lơ,
And David he [was] the young and three old they had gone after Saul.
15 thì Đa-vít lìa nơi Sau-lơ, trở về Bết-lê-hem đặng chăn chiên của cha mình.
And David [was] going and [was] returning from with Saul to shepherd [the] flock of father his Beth-lehem.
16 Người Phi-li-tin đi ra buổi mai và buổi chiều, tỏ mình ra như vậy trong bốn mươi ngày.
And he drew near the Philistine rising early and [the] evening darkened and he took his stand forty day[s].
17 Vả, Y-sai nói cùng Đa-vít, con trai mình, mà rằng: Con hãy lấy một ê-pha hột rang và mười ổ bánh nầy, chạy mau đến trại quân đặng đem đưa cho các anh con.
And he said Jesse to David son his take please to brothers your [the] ephah of roasted grain this and ten bread[s] this and bring [them] quickly the camp to brothers your.
18 Con cũng hãy đem mười bánh sữa nầy cho quan tướng cai ngàn quân, thử xem các anh con có mạnh chăng, và con phải đem về cho cha một dấu chi làm chứng về phần chúng nó.
And [the] ten [the] portions of milk these you will bring to [the] commander of the thousand and brothers your you will pay attention to welfare and pledge their you will take.
19 Các anh con ở cùng Sau-lơ và hết thảy người Y-sơ-ra-ên tại trong trũng Ê-la, để đánh giặc cùng dân Phi-li-tin.
And Saul and they and every man of Israel [are] in [the] valley of Elah fighting with [the] Philistines.
20 Ngày mai sáng sớm, Đa-vít để chiên cho một người chăn, lấy đồ vật mà đi, như Y-sai đã dặn người. Khi người đã đến đồn, thì đạo binh đi ra đặng dàn trận và reo tiếng chiến tranh.
And he rose early David in the morning and he left the flock with a watchman and he lifted up and he went just as he had commanded him Jesse and he came the camp towards and the army which was going out to the battle line and they shouted a war cry in the battle.
21 Y-sơ-ra-ên và dân Phi-li-tin dàn trận, hai đạo quân đối nhau.
And it deployed Israel and [the] Philistines battle line to meet battle line.
22 Đa-vít cất gánh nặng mình giao cho người giữ đồ vật, đoạn chạy đến chỗ dàn trận, tới hỏi thăm ba anh mình mạnh giỏi chăng.
And he left David the baggage from with him on [the] hand of [the] keeper of the baggage and he ran the battle line and he came and he asked of brothers his to welfare.
23 Người đang nói chuyện cùng chúng, kìa người lực sĩ Gô-li-át, tức là người Phi-li-tin ở Gát, từ hàng ngũ Phi-li-tin xơm tới, và Đa-vít nghe hắn nói như những lời ngày trước.
And he - [was] speaking with them and there! [the] man of the champions [was] coming up [was] Goliath the Philistine name his from Gath (from [the] battle lines of *Q(K)*) [the] Philistines and he spoke according to the words these and he heard David.
24 Hết thảy người Y-sơ-ra-ên thấy người nầy, đều chạy trốn và run sợ lắm. Mọi người Y-sơ-ra-ên nói:
And every man of Israel when saw they the man and they fled from before him and they were afraid exceedingly.
25 Các ngươi có thấy người đó xơm tới chăng? Hắn đến đặng sỉ nhục Y-sơ-ra-ên. Nếu ai giết được hắn, thì vua sẽ ban thưởng nhiều của cải, gả con gái mình cho người đó, và miễn xâu thuế cho nhà cha người ấy trong Y-sơ-ra-ên.
And he said - [the] man of Israel ¿ have you seen the man who comes up this for to defy Israel [he is] coming up and it will be the man who he will strike down him he will make rich him the king - rich[es] great and daughter his he will give to him and [the] house of father his he will make free in Israel.
26 Đa-vít hỏi những người ở gần mình rằng: Người ta sẽ đãi thể nào cho kẻ giết được người Phi-li-tin nầy, và cất sự sỉ nhục khỏi Y-sơ-ra-ên? Vì người Phi-li-tin nầy, kẻ chẳng chịu phép cắt bì nầy, là ai, mà lại dám sỉ nhục đạo binh của Đức Chúa Trời hằng sống?
And he said David to the men who were standing with him saying what? will it be done for the man who he will strike down the Philistine this and he will remove reproach from on Israel that who? [is] the Philistine uncircumcised this that he has defied [the] battle lines of God living.
27 Người ta lấy lời thường nói ấy mà đáp cùng người rằng: Ai giết được hắn thì phần thưởng sẽ là như vậy.
And it said to him the people according to the manner this saying thus it will be done for the man who he will strike down him.
28 Nhưng Ê-li-háp, anh cả người, nghe Đa-vít nói như vậy, nổi giận người mà nói rằng: Cớ sao mày đến đây? Mày bỏ ít con chiên của chúng ta trong đồng vắng cho ai? Tao biết tánh kiêu ngạo và sự độc ác của lòng mày. Aáy đặng xem tranh chiến nên mày mới đến.
And he heard Eliab brother his old when spoke he to the men and it burned [the] anger of Eliab on David and he said - why? this have you come down and with whom? have you left [the] fewness of the sheep those in the wilderness I I know arrogance your and [the] wickedness of heart your that so as to see the battle you have come down.
29 Đa-vít đáp rằng: Vậy, tôi có làm chi đâu? Aáy chỉ là một câu hỏi thôi?
And he said David what? have I done now ¿ not a word [was] it.
30 Người dan xa anh mình, lặp hỏi những người khác cũng một câu ấy, thì người ta đáp như lần thứ nhất.
And he turned away from beside him to [the] front of another [person] and he said according to the manner this and they brought back him the people word according to the word the former.
31 Có người nghe các lời Đa-vít nói, bèn thuật lại cho Sau-lơ hay; Sau-lơ đòi người đến.
And they were heard the words which he spoke David and people told before Saul and he sent for him.
32 Đa-vít thưa với Sau-lơ rằng: Xin chớ ai ngã lòng vì cớ người Phi-li-tin kia! Kẻ tôi tớ vua sẽ đi đấu địch cùng hắn.
And he said David to Saul may not it fall [the] heart of anyone on him servant your he will go and he will fight with the Philistine this.
33 Sau-lơ đáp cùng Đa-vít rằng: Ngươi chẳng thế đi đấu địch cùng người Phi-li-tin kia, vì ngươi chỉ là một đứa con trẻ, còn hắn là một tay chiến sĩ từ thuở còn thơ.
And he said Saul to David not you will be able to go against the Philistine this to fight with him for [are] a youth you and he [is] a man of war since youth his.
34 Đa-vít tâu cùng Sau-lơ rằng: Khi tôi tớ vua chăn chiên của cha mình, hễ có sư tử hay là con gấu đến tha một con chiên của bầy.
And he said David to Saul shepherding he was servant your for father his the flock and it came the lion and with the bear and it carried off a sheep from the flock.
35 thì tôi đuổi theo, đánh nó, rứt con chiên khỏi miệng nó; hễ nó cất lên cự tôi, tôi nắm râu nó, đánh và giết nó đi.
And I went out after it and I struck it and I rescued [it] from mouth its and it rose up on me and I took hold on beard its and I struck it and I killed it.
36 Tôi tớ vua đã đánh chết con sư tử và con gấu, vậy thì người Phi-li-tin không chịu phép cắt bì kia cũng sẽ đồng số phận với chúng nó; vì hắn đã sỉ nhục các đạo binh của Đức Chúa Trời hằng sống.
Both the lion as well as the bear he has struck down servant your and he will be the Philistine uncircumcised this like one from them for he has defied [the] battle lines of God living.
37 Đa-vít lại nói: Đức Giê-hô-va đã giải cứu tôi khỏi vấu sư tử và khỏi cẳng gấu, ắt sẽ giải cứu tôi khỏi tay người Phi-li-tin kia. Sau-lơ đáp rằng: Hãy đi, nguyện Đức Giê-hô-va ở cùng ngươi!
And he said David Yahweh who he delivered me from [the] hand of the lion and from [the] hand of the bear he he will deliver me from [the] hand of the Philistine this. And he said Saul to David go and Yahweh he will be with you.
38 Sau-lơ lấy áo chiến mình mặc cho Đa-vít, đội cái mão đồng lên đầu người, và mặc áo giáp cho người.
And he clothed Saul David garments his and he put a helmet of bronze on head his and he clothed him body armor.
39 Đa-vít đeo gươm của Sau-lơ ở trên áo chiến và tập đi thử, vì không có thói quen. Nhưng người nói cùng Sau-lơ rằng: Tôi không thế mang khí giới nầy mà đi được; vì tôi không có thói quen. Đa-vít bèn cổi áo ấy ra,
And he girded David sword his over garments his and he fell short to walk for not he had put to [the] test and he said David to Saul not I will be able to walk in these [things] for not I have put to [the] test and he removed them David from on himself.
40 cầm một cây gậy, lựa dưới khe năm cục đá bóng láng, để trong cái túi chăn chiên mình vẫn có, và cái trành ném đá ở nơi tay, rồi xơm tới người Phi-li-tin.
And he took stick his in hand his and he chose for himself five smooth [ones] of stones - from the wadi and he put them in [the] bag of shepherds which [belonged] to him and in the pouch and sling his [was] in hand his and he drew near to the Philistine.
41 Người Phi-li-tin cũng xơm tới, đến gần Đa-vít, có kẻ vác binh khí đi trước.
And he came the Philistine coming and approaching to David and the man [the] bearer of the body shield [was] before him.
42 Người Phi-li-tin xem Đa-vít, thấy người còn trẻ, nước da hồng hồng, mặt đẹp đẽ, thì khinh người.
And he looked the Philistine and he saw David and he despised him for he was a youth and red with handsome of appearance.
43 Người Phi-li-tin nói cùng Đa-vít rằng: Ta há là một con chó nên người cầm gậy đến cùng ta? Người Phi-li-tin bắt danh các thần mình mà rủa sả Đa-vít,
And he said the Philistine to David ¿ a dog [am] I that you [are] coming against me with sticks and he cursed the Philistine David by gods his.
44 và tiếp rằng: Hãy lại đây, ta sẽ ban thịt ngươi cho chim trời và thú đồng.
And he said the Philistine to David come! to me so let me give flesh your to [the] bird[s] of the heavens and to [the] animal[s] of the field.
45 Đa-vít đáp cùng người Phi-li-tin rằng: Ngươi cầm gươm, giáo, lao mà đến cùng ta; còn ta, ta nhân danh Đức Giê-hô-va vạn binh mà đến, tức là Đức Chúa Trời của đạo binh Y-sơ-ra-ên, mà ngươi đã sỉ nhục.
And he said David to the Philistine you [are] coming against me with sword and with spear and with javelin and I [am] coming against you in [the] name of Yahweh of hosts [the] God of [the] battle lines of Israel whom you have defied.
46 Ngày nay Đức Giê-hô-va sẽ phó ngươi vào tay ta, ta sẽ giết ngươi, cắt đầu ngươi, và ngày nay ban thây của đạo binh Phi-li-tin cho chim trời và thú vật của đất.
The day this he will deliver up you Yahweh in hand my and I will strike down you and I will remove head your from on you and I will give [the] corpse[s] of [the] army of [the] Philistines the day this to [the] bird[s] of the heavens and to [the] animal[s] of the earth so they may know all the earth that there a God [belongs] to Israel.
47 Khắp thế gian sẽ biết rằng Y-sơ-ra-ên có một Đức Chúa Trời; và quân lính nầy sẽ thấy rằng Đức Giê-hô-va không giải cứu bằng gươm, hoặc bằng giáo; vì Đức Giê-hô-va là Chúa của chiến trận, và Ngài sẽ phó các ngươi vào tay chúng ta.
So they may know all the assembly this that not by sword and by spear he saves Yahweh for [belongs] to Yahweh the battle and he will give you in hand our.
48 Xảy khi người Phi-li-tin đứng dậy, xơm tới đón Đa-vít, Đa-vít vội vàng chạy về hướng hàng trận quân nghịch đặng đón người Phi-li-tin.
And it was that he arose the Philistine and he came and he drew near to meet David and he hurried David and he ran the battle line to meet the Philistine.
49 Đa-vít thò tay vào túi mình, lấy một cục đá, ném nó bằng trành, trúng nơi trán người Phi-li-tin. Cục đá lọt thấu trong trán, Gô-li-át té úp mặt xuống đất.
And he sent David hand his into the bag and he took from there a stone and he slung [it] and he struck the Philistine to forehead his and it sank the stone in forehead his and he fell on face his [the] ground towards.
50 Như vậy Đa-vít thắng được người Phi-li-tin bằng cái trành ném đá và cục đá, đánh chết hắn mà không có gươm nơi tay.
And he was strong David more than the Philistine with the sling and with the stone and he struck down the Philistine and he killed him and [was] a sword there not in [the] hand of David.
51 Đoạn, Đa-vít chạy lại, xông vào mình người Phi-li-tin, lấy gươm của hắn và rút ra khỏi vỏ, giết hắn, và cắt đầu đi. Dân Phi-li-tin thấy kẻ lực sĩ mình đã chết, thì chạy trốn.
And he ran David and he stood to the Philistine and he took sword his and he drew out it from sheath its and he killed him and he cut off with it head his and they saw the Philistines that he had died mighty [man] their and they fled.
52 Bấy giờ, người Y-sơ-ra-ên và Giu-đa dấy lên, hò hét, đuổi theo dân Phi-li-tin cho đến cửa thành Gát và Eùc-rôn; người Phi-li-tin bị thương ngã chết đầy đường Sa-ra-gim cho đến Gát và Eùc-rôn.
And they arose [the] men of Israel and Judah and they shouted a war cry and they pursued the Philistines until coming you [to] Gath and to [the] gates of Ekron and they fell [those] slain of [the] Philistines on [the] way of Shaaraim and to Gath and to Ekron.
53 Dân Y-sơ-ra-ên, sau khi đã rượt đuổi dân Phi-li-tin rồi, thì trở về cướp phá trại quân chúng nó.
And they returned [the] people of Israel from hotly pursuing after [the] Philistines and they plundered camps their.
54 Đa-vít lấy thủ cấp của người Phi-li-tin đem đến Giê-ru-sa-lem; nhưng để binh khí Gô-li-át lại trong trại mình.
And he took David [the] head of the Philistine and he brought it Jerusalem and weapons his he put in own tent his.
55 Sau-lơ thấy Đa-vít ra đón đánh người Phi-li-tin, thì có hỏi quan tổng binh Aùp-ne, rằng: Hỡi Aùp-ne, người trai trẻ đó là con trai của ai? Aùp-ne thưa rằng: Oâi vua! tôi xin chỉ linh hồn vua mà thề, tôi chẳng biết.
And just as saw Saul David going out to meet the Philistine he said to Abner [the] commander of the army son of whom? this [is] the youth O Abner and he said Abner [by] [the] life of self your O king if I knew.
56 Vua nói cùng người rằng: Hãy hỏi thăm gã trai trẻ ấy là con của ai.
And he said the king ask you son of whom? this [is] the youth.
57 Khi Đa-vít đã giết người Phi-li-tin trở về, thì Aùp-ne rước người, dẫn đến trước mặt Sau-lơ. Đa-vít đang xách thủ cấp của người Phi-li-tin nơi tay.
And just as returned David from striking down the Philistine and he took him Abner and he brought him before Saul and [the] head of the Philistine [was] in hand his.
58 Sau-lơ nói cùng người rằng: Hỡi gã trai trẻ, ngươi là con ai? Đa-vít thưa rằng: Tôi là con Y-sai, tôi tớ của vua, ở tại Bết-lê-hem.
And he said to him Saul son of whom? [are] you O youth and he said David [the] son of servant your Jesse [the] Beth-lehemite.
