Châm Ngôn 2
1 Hỡi con, nếu con tiếp nhận lời ta, Dành giữ mạng lịnh ta nơi lòng con,
O son my if you will receive words my and commandments my you will treasure with you.
2 Ðể lắng tai nghe sự khôn ngoan, Và chuyên lòng con về sự thông sáng;
To make attend to wisdom ear your you will incline heart your to understanding.
3 Phải nếu con kêu cầu sự phân biện, Và cất tiếng lên cầu xin sự thông sáng,
That except to discernment you will call to understanding you will give voice your.
4 Nếu con tìm nó như tiền bạc, Và kiếm nó như bửu vật ẩn bí,
If you will seek it like silver and like treasures you will search for it.
5 Bấy giờ con sẽ hiểu biết sự kính sợ Ðức Giê-hô-va, Và tìm được điều tri thức của Ðức Chúa Trời.
Then you will discern [the] fear of Yahweh and [the] knowledge of God you will find.
6 Vì Ðức Giê-hô-va ban cho sự khôn ngoan; từ miệng Ngài ra điều tri thức và thông sáng.
For Yahweh he gives wisdom from mouth his knowledge and understanding.
7 Ngài dành ơn cứu rỗi cho người ngay thẳng; Ngài là thuẫn đỡ của người làm theo sự đoan chính,
(He stores up *Q(K)*) for upright [people] success a shield to [those who] walk of integrity.
8 Phù hộ các lối của người công bình, Và giữ gìn đường của thánh đồ Ngài.
To guard [the] paths of justice and [the] way of (faithful [people] his *Q(K)*) he will preserve.
9 Bấy giờ con sẽ hiểu biết sự công bình, sự lý đoán, Sự chánh trực, và các nẻo lành.
Then you will understand righteousness and justice and uprightness every course of good.
10 Vì sự khôn ngoan sẽ vào trong lòng con, Và linh hồn con sẽ lấy sự hiểu biết làm vui thích.
For it will come wisdom in heart your and knowledge to self your it will be pleasant.
11 Sự dẽ dặt sẽ coi sóc con, Sự thông sáng sẽ gìn giữ con,
Discretion it will watch over you understanding it will preserve you.
12 Ðể cứu con khỏi đường dữ, Khỏi kẻ nói việc gian tà,
To deliver you from a way evil from anyone [who] speaks perverse things.
13 Và khỏi kẻ bỏ đường ngay thẳng, Mà đi theo các lối tối tăm;
Those [who] leave paths of uprightness to walk in [the] ways of darkness.
14 Là người vui dạ làm dữ, Ưa thích sự gian tà của kẻ ác;
The [ones] joyful to do evil they exult in perverse things of evil.
15 Chúng nó cong vạy trong đường lối mình, Và lầm lạc trong các nẻo mình;
Who paths their [are] twisted and [who are] crooked in tracks their.
16 Lại sự khôn ngoan sẽ cứu con khỏi dâm phụ, Là người đờn bà lạ nói lời dua nịnh;
To deliver you from a woman strange from a foreign [woman] [who] words her she makes smooth.
17 Nàng lìa bỏ bạn của buổi đang thì, Và quên sự giao ước của Ðức Chúa Trời mình;
Who leaves [the] close friend of youth her and [the] covenant of God her she forgets.
18 Vì nhà nó xiêu qua sự chết, Và con đường nó dẫn đến chốn kẻ thác;
For she sank down to death house her and to [the] shades tracks her.
19 Chẳng ai đi đến nàng mà trở về, Hoặc được tới các lối sự sống;
All [those who] go to her not they return! and not they reach [the] paths of life.
20 Sự khôn ngoan sẽ khiến con đi trong đường người thiện, Và gìn giữ các lối của kẻ công bình.
So that you may walk in [the] way of good [people] and [the] paths of righteous [people] you will keep.
21 Vì người ngay thẳng sẽ được ở trên đất, Và người trọn vẹn sẽ còn ở đó luôn luôn.
For upright [people] (they will dwell *L(bah)*) [the] land and blameless [people] they will remain in it.
22 Nhưng kẻ gian ác sẽ bị truất khỏi đất, Và kẻ bất trung sẽ bị nhổ rứt khỏi đó.
And wicked [people] from [the] land they will be cut off and treacherous [people] they will be torn away from it.
