Dân Số 12

1 Mi-ri-am và A-rôn nói hành Môi-se về việc người nữ Ê-thi-ô-bi mà người đã lấy; vì người có lấy một người nữ Ê-thi-ô-bi làm vợ.

Afterward Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses, because of the woman of Ethiopia whome hee had maried (for hee had married a woman of Ethiopia)

2 Hai người nói rằng: Ðức Giê-hô-va chỉ dùng một mình Môi-se mà thôi sao? Ngài há không dùng chúng ta mà phán nữa sao? Ðức Giê-hô-va nghe điều đó.

And they saide, What? hath the Lord spoken but onely by Moses? hath he not spoken also by vs? and the Lord heard this.

3 Vả, Môi-se là người rất khiêm hòa hơn mọi người trên thế gian.

(But Moses was a verie meeke man, aboue all the men that were vpon the earth)

4 Thình lình Ðức Giê-hô-va phán cùng Môi-se, A-rôn và Mi-ri-am rằng: Cả ba hãy ra đến hội mạc. Cả ba đều đi.

And by and by the Lord sayd vnto Moses, and vnto Aaron, and vnto Miriam, come out yee three vnto the Tabernacle of the Congregation: and they three came forth.

5 Ðức Giê-hô-va ngự xuống trong trụ mây đứng tại cửa hội mạc, rồi gọi A-rôn và Môi-se; hai người đều đến.

Then the Lord came downe in the pillar of the cloude, and stoode in the doore of the Tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam, and they both came forth.

6 Ngài phán cùng hai người rằng: Hãy nghe rõ lời ta. Nếu trong các ngươi có một tiên tri nào, ta là Ðức Giê-hô-va sẽ hiện ra cùng người trong sự hiện thấy, và nói với người trong cơn chiêm bao.

And hee saide, Heare nowe my wordes, If there be a Prophet of the Lord among you, I will be knowen to him by a vision, and will speake vnto him by dreame.

7 Tôi tớ Môi-se ta không có như vậy, người thật trung tín trong cả nhà ta.

My seruant Moses is not so, who is faithfull in all mine house.

8 Ta nói chuyện cùng người miệng đối miệng, một cách rõ ràng, không lời đố, và người thấy hình Ðức Giê-hô-va. Vậy, các ngươi không sợ mà nói hành kẻ tôi tớ ta, là Môi-se sao?

Vnto him will I speake mouth to mouth, and by vision, and not in darke wordes, but hee shall see the similitude of the Lord. Wherefore then were ye not afraid to speake against my seruant, euen against Moses?

9 Như vậy, cơn thạnh nộ của Ðức Giê-hô-va nổi phừng phừng cùng hai người; Ngài ngự đi.

Thus the Lord was very angrie with them, and departed.

10 Khi trụ mây rút khỏi trên đền tạm, thì kìa, Mi-ri-am đã bị phung trắng như tuyết. A-rôn xây lại phía Mi-ri-am, thấy người đã có bịnh phung.

Also the cloude departed from the Tabernacle: and beholde, Miriam was leprous like snowe: and Aaron looked vpon Miriam, and beholde, she was leprous.

11 A-rôn bèn nói cùng Môi-se rằng: Ôi, lạy chúa tôi, xin chớ để trên chúng tôi tội mà chúng tôi đã dại phạm và đã mắc lấy.

Then Aaron saide vnto Moses, Alas, my Lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sinne vpon vs, which we haue foolishly committed and wherein we haue sinned.

12 Xin chớ để nàng như một đứa con sảo thịt đã hư hết phân nửa khi lọt ra khỏi lòng mẹ.

Let her not, I pray thee, be as one dead, of whome the flesh is halfe consumed, when he commeth out of his mothers wombe.

13 Môi-se bèn kêu van cùng Ðức Giê-hô-va rằng: Ôi, Ðức Chúa Trời! Tôi cầu khẩn Ngài chữa cho nàng.

Then Moses cryed vnto the Lord, saying, O God, I beseech thee, heale her nowe.

14 Ðức Giê-hô-va đáp cùng Môi-se rằng: Nếu cha nàng nhổ trên mặt nàng, nàng há không mang hổ trong bảy ngày sao? Nàng phải cầm riêng ngoài trại quân trong bảy ngày, rồi sau sẽ được nhận vào lại.

And the Lord said vnto Moses, If her father had spit in her face, shoulde she not haue bene ashamed seuen dayes? let her be shut out of the hoste seuen dayes, and after she shall bee receiued.

15 Ấy vậy, Mi-ri-am bị cầm riêng ngoài trại quân trong bảy ngày, dân sự không ra đi cho đến chừng nào Mi-ri-am được nhận vào lại.

So Miriam was shut out of the hoste seuen dayes, and the people remooued not, till Miriam was brought in againe.

16 Sau việc đó, dân sự ra đi từ Hát-sê-rốt, và hạ trại trong đồng vắng Pha-ran.

Then afterwarde the people remooued from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wildernesse of Paran.
