Giê-rê-mi-a 48
1 Về Mô-áp. Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân, Ðức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên, phán như vầy: Khốn cho Nê-bô, vì đã trở nên hoang vu! Ki-ri-a-ta-im mang xấu hổ, và bị bắt lấy; Nít-gáp bị xô đổ và nhuốc nha.
Against Moab thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Woe unto Nebo! for it is spoiled: Kiriathaim is confounded and taken: Misgab is confounded and dismayed.
2 Sự ngợi khen của Mô-áp chẳng còn có nữa; tại Hết-bôn, người ta mưu hại nó mà rằng: Hãy đến, hủy diệt dân nầy, cho nó không được kể vào số các nước nữa! Hỡi Mát-mên, ngươi cùng sẽ trở nên im lặng; gươm sẽ đuổi theo ngươi.
There shall be no more praise of Moab: in Heshbon they have devised evil against it; come, and let us cut it off from being a nation. Also you shall be cut down, O Madmen; the sword shall pursue you.
3 Có tiếng kỳ lạ khởi từ Hô-rô-an-im rằng: Sự hoang vu và hủy hoại lớn thay!
A voice of crying shall be from Horonaim, spoiling and great destruction.
4 Mô-áp tan nát rồi. Những con trẻ nó kêu la vang tiếng!
Moab is destroyed; her little ones have caused a cry to be heard.
5 Chúng nó sẽ lên giốc Lu-hít, khóc lóc, chẳng thôi; xuống giốc Hô-rô-na-im, nghe tiếng hủy hoại thảm sầu.
For in the going up of Luhith continual weeping shall go up; for in the going down of Horonaim the enemies have heard a cry of destruction.
6 Hãy trốn đi, cứu lấy sự sống mình, như cây thạch thảo nơi đồng vắng!
Flee, save your lives, and be like the heath in the wilderness.
7 Vì ngươi đã trông cậy sự mình làm ra và của báu mình, ngươi cũng sẽ bị bắt lấy. Kê-mốt cùng các thầy tế lễ và các quan trưởng mình sẽ đi làm phu tù.
For because you have trusted in your works and in your treasures, you shall also be taken: and Chemosh shall go forth into captivity with his priests and his princes together.
8 Kẻ hủy diệt sẽ vào trong mọi thành, chẳng có thành nào thoát khỏi; nơi trũng sẽ bị hủy hoại, đồng bằng bị phá tan, như Ðức Giê-hô-va đã phán.
And the spoiler shall come upon every city, and no city shall escape: the valley also shall perish, and the plain shall be destroyed, as the LORD has spoken.
9 Hãy cho Mô-áp những cánh, đặng nó bay đi trốn; các thành nó sẽ nên hoang vu, chẳng còn ai ở.
Give wings unto Moab, that it may flee and get away: for the cities thereof shall be desolate, without any to dwell therein.
10 Ðáng rủa thay là kẻ làm việc Ðức Giê-hô-va cách dối dá! Ðáng rủa thay là kẻ từ chối máu nơi gươm mình.
Cursed be he that does the work of the LORD deceitfully, and cursed be he that keeps back his sword from blood.
11 Mô-áp từ lúc còn trẻ vốn yên lặng, như rượu đứng cặn, chưa từ bình nầy rót qua bình khác: nó cũng chẳng đi làm phu tù; nên giữ được vị nguyên của mình, mùi thơm còn chưa đổi.
Moab has been at ease from his youth, and he has settled on his sediments of wine, and has not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither has he gone into captivity: therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent is not changed.
12 Vậy nên, Ðức Giê-hô-va phán: Nầy, ngày đến, bấy giờ ta sẽ sai đến cùng nó những kẻ đổ ra, chúng nó sẽ đổ nó ra, làm trống bình nó đi, và đập các bình ra từng mảnh.
Therefore, behold, the days come, says the LORD, that I will send unto him wanderers, that shall cause him to wander, and shall empty his vessels, and break their bottles.
13 Mô-áp sẽ bị xấu hổ bởi Kê-mốt, cũng như nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên đã bị xấu hổ bởi Bê-tên mình trông cậy.
And Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Bethel their confidence.
14 Làm sao các ngươi nói được rằng: Chúng ta là anh hùng, là người mạnh mẽ nơi chiến trận?
How say all of you, We are mighty and strong men for the war?
15 Mô-áp bị phá hoại, kẻ thù nghịch nó đi lên tiến vào các thành nó; kẻ giỏi nhứt trong bọn trai trẻ nó bị giết, Ðức Vua, danh Ngài là Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân, phán vậy.
Moab is spoiled, and gone up out of her cities, and his chosen young men are gone down to the slaughter, says the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts.
16 Sự tai hại của Mô-áp gần đến; họa nó tới rất mau.
The calamity of Moab is near to come, and his affliction hastes fast.
17 Hỡi các ngươi là kẻ ở chung quanh nó, hãy than khóc nó! Hết thảy các ngươi là kẻ biết danh nó, khá nói rằng: Cái gậy cứng mạnh, cái gậy đẹp đẽ nầy đã gãy đi là dường nào!
All you that are about him, lament for him; and all you that know his name, say, How is the strong staff broken, and the beautiful rod!
18 Hỡi con gái ở trong Ði-bôn! hãy xuống khỏi ngôi vinh hiển mình, ngồi cách khô khát. Vì kẻ hủy diệt Nô-áp lên nghịch cùng ngươi, phá đồn lũy ngươi.
You daughter that do inhabit Dibon, come down from your glory, and sit in thirst; for the spoiler of Moab shall come upon you, and he shall destroy your strong holds.
19 Hỡi dân cư A-rô -e! Hãy đứng bên đường và ngó. Hãy hỏi đờn ông đi trốn và đờn bà thoát nạn, rằng: Việc đã xảy ra làm sao?
O inhabitant of Aroer, stand by the way, and monitor; ask him that flees, and her that escapes, and say, What is done?
20 Mô-áp bị xấu hổ, sức mạnh nó đã tan nát. Hãy than thở, cất tiếng kêu lên! Hãy rao trên bờ Aït-nôn rằng Mô-áp bị phá hại.
Moab is confounded; for it is broken down: wail and cry; tell all of you it in Arnon, that Moab is spoiled,
21 Sự đoán phạt đã đổ xuống trên xứ đồng bằng, trên Hô-lôn, Gia-sa, Mê-phát,
And judgment has come upon the plain country; upon Holon, and upon Jahazah, and upon Mephaath,
22 Ði-bôn, Nê-bô, Bết-Ðíp-la-tha-im,
And upon Dibon, and upon Nebo, and upon Bethdiblathaim,
23 Ki-ri-a-ta-im, Bết-Ga-mun, Bết-Mê-ôn,
And upon Kiriathaim, and upon Bethgamul, and upon Bethmeon,
24 Kê-ri-giốt, Bốt-ra, và trên hết thảy các thành xứ Mô-áp, nơi gần và xa.
And upon Kerioth, and upon Bozrah, and upon all the cities of the land of Moab, far or near.
25 Ðức Giê-hô-va phán: Sừng của Mô-áp đã chặt rồi, cánh tay nó đã gãy.
The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken, says the LORD.
26 Hãy làm cho nó say sưa, vì nó đã lên mình nghịch cùng Ðức Giê-hô-va. Mô-áp sẽ đẵm mình trong sự mửa thổ, cũng làm cớ cho người ta chê cười.
Make all of you him drunken: for he magnified himself against the LORD: Moab also shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall be in derision.
27 Ngươi há chẳng từng chê cười Y-sơ-ra-ên sao? Vậy thì nó có bị bắt được trong vòng kẻ trộm chăng, mà hễ khi ngươi nói đến nó thì lắc đầu?
For was not Israel a derision unto you? was he found among thieves? for since you spoke of him, you skipped for joy.
28 Hỡi dân cư Mô-áp, hãy lìa bỏ các thành, đi trong vầng đá; khá như chim bò câu làm ổ trên miệng vực sâu.
O all of you that dwell in Moab, leave the cities, and dwell in the rock, and be like the dove that makes her nest in the sides of the hole's mouth.
29 Mô-áp kiêu ngạo vô chừng, sự xất xược, sự cậy mình, sự khoe khoang của lòng kiêu ngạo nó, chúng ta đều nghe cả.
We have heard the pride of Moab, (he is exceeding proud) his loftiness, and his arrogancy, and his pride, and the haughtiness of his heart.
30 Ðức Giê-hô-va phán: Ta biết sự giận của nó là hư không, sự khoe khoang của nó là vô ích.
I know his wrath, says the LORD; but it shall not be so; his lies shall not so effect it.
31 Vậy nên ta khóc thương Mô-áp, vì cả dân sự Mô-áp mà kêu la. Người ta than khóc cho dân Kiệt-Hê-re.
Therefore will I wail for Moab, and I will cry out for all Moab; mine heart shall mourn for the men of Kirheres.
32 Hỡi cây nho Síp-ma, nhánh nhóc ngươi vuợt qua biển, kịp tới biển Gia-ê-xe; kẻ hủy diệt đã đến cướp lấy trái mùa hạ và mùa nho ngươi, nên ta vì ngươi khóc lóc hơn là vì Gia-ê-xe khóc lóc.
O vine of Sibmah, I will weep for you with the weeping of Jazer: your plants are gone over the sea, they reach even to the sea of Jazer: the spoiler is fallen upon your summer fruits and upon your vintage.
33 Sự vui mừng hớn hở đã mất đi trong ruộng màu mỡ và đất Mô-áp; ta đã làm cho rượu cạn khô trong các bàn ép. Người ta chẳng reo vui mà đạp trái nho nữa: sự reo vui của nó chẳng phải là reo vui.
And joy and gladness is taken from the plentiful field, and from the land of Moab, and I have caused wine to fail from the winepresses: none shall tread with shouting; their shouting shall be no shouting.
34 Tiếng than khóc từ Hết-bôn nghe thấu Ê-lê-a-lê cho đến Gia-hát, từ Xoa cho đến Hô-rô-na-im và đến Ê-lát-Sê-li-sia. Vì các dòng nước ở Nim-rim cũng đều nên hoang vu.
From the cry of Heshbon even unto Elealeh, and even unto Jahaz, have they uttered their voice, from Zoar even unto Horonaim, as an heifer of three years old: for the waters also of Nimrim shall be desolate.
35 Ðức Giê-hô-va phán: Ta sẽ cất khỏi Mô-áp kẻ dâng tế lễ trên nơi cao, và kẻ đốt hương cho các thần mình.
Moreover I will cause to cease in Moab, says the LORD, him that offers in the high places, and him that burns incense to his gods.
36 Bởi vậy, lòng ta vì Mô-áp trổi tiếng như ống sáo; lòng ta trổi tiếng vì dân Kiệt-Hê-re như ống sáo; cho nên sự dư dật nó đã thâu góp thì mất hết rồi.
Therefore mine heart shall sound for Moab like pipes, and mine heart shall sound like pipes for the men of Kirheres: because the riches that he has got are perished.
37 Ðầu đều trọc hết, râu đều cắt hết; mọi tay đều bị dấu cắt, mọi lưng đều mang bao gai.
For every head shall be bald, and every beard clipped: upon all the hands shall be cuttings, and upon the loins sackcloth.
38 Trên các nóc nhà Mô-áp và trong các đường phố nó, rặt là những sự than khóc, vì ta đã đập bể Mô-áp như bình chẳng ai ưa thích, Ðức Giê-hô-va phán vậy.
There shall be lamentation generally upon all the housetops of Moab, and in the streets thereof: for I have broken Moab like a vessel wherein is no pleasure, says the LORD.
39 Kìa, nó đã đổ nát dường nào! Chúng nó than thở dường nào! Mô-áp xây lưng lại cách hổ thẹn dường nào! Mô-áp sẽ trở nên cớ nhạo cười và sợ hãi cho hết thảy người chung quanh.
They shall wail, saying, How is it broken down! how has Moab turned the back with shame! so shall Moab be a derision and a dismaying to all them about him.
40 Ðức Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Nầy, quân nghịch liệng như chim ưng, sè cánh nghịch cùng Mô-áp.
For thus says the LORD; Behold, he shall fly as an eagle, and shall spread his wings over Moab.
41 Kê-ri-giốt bị lấy, các đồn lũy bị choán rồi; ngày đó, lòng những người mạnh mẽ của Mô-áp trở nên như lòng đờn bà đau đẻ.
Kerioth is taken, and the strong holds are surprised, and the mighty men's hearts in Moab at that day shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
42 Mô-áp sẽ bị diệt, không thành một dân nữa, vì nó đã lên mình nghịch cùng Ðức Giê-hô-va.
And Moab shall be destroyed from being a people, because he has magnified himself against the LORD.
43 Ðức Giê-hô-va phán: Hỡi dân Mô-áp! sự kinh hãi, hầm hố, bẫy dò đương lâm trên ngươi.
Fear, and the pit, and the snare, shall be upon you, O inhabitant of Moab, says the LORD.
44 Kẻ nào trốn khỏi sự kinh hãi sẽ sa trong hầm hố, kẻ nào lên khỏi hầm hố sẽ mắc phải bẫy dò. Vì ta sẽ khiến năm thăm phạt đến trên Mô-áp, Ðức Giê-hô-va phán vậy.
He that flees from the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that gets up out of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for I will bring upon it, even upon Moab, the year of their visitation, says the LORD.
45 Kẻ trốn tránh kiệt sức rồi thì núp dưới bóng Hết-bôn; vì có lửa phát ra từ Hết-bôn, ngọn lửa từ giữa Si-hôn, thiêu nuốt góc Mô-áp, và sọ của con kẻ hỗn hào.
They that fled stood under the shadow of Heshbon because of the force: but a fire shall come forth out of Heshbon, and a flame from the midst of Sihon, and shall devour the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the tumultuous ones.
46 Hỡi Mô-áp, khốn nạn cho ngươi! dân Kê-mốt mất rồi! Các con trai và con gái ngươi đã bị bắt đi làm phu tù.
Woe be unto you, O Moab! the people of Chemosh perishes: for your sons are taken captives, and your daughters captives.
47 Nhưng, đến những ngày sau rốt, ta sẽ đem các phu tù Mô-áp trở về, Ðức Giê-hô-va phán vậy. Lời xét đoán về Mô-áp đến đó mà thôi.
Yet will I bring again the captivity of Moab in the latter days, says the LORD. Thus far is the judgment of Moab.
