Giê-rê-mi-a 31
1 Ðức Giê-hô-va phán: Trong lúc đó, ta sẽ làm Ðức Chúa Trời của hết thảy họ hàng Y-sơ-ra-ên; chúng nó sẽ làm dân ta.
“At that time—this is Yahweh's declaration—I will be the God of all the clans of Israel, and they will be my people.”
2 Ðức Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Dân sót lại thoát khỏi gươm dao, tức là Y-sơ-ra-ên, đã được ơn trong đồng vắng, khi ta đi khiến chúng nó được yên nghỉ.
Yahweh says this, “The people who have survived the sword have found favor in the wilderness; I will go out to give rest to Israel.”
3 Ðức Giê-hô-va từ thuở xưa hiện ra cùng tôi và phán rằng: Phải, ta đã lấy sự yêu thương đời đời mà yêu ngươi; nên đã lấy sự nhơn từ mà kéo ngươi đến.
Yahweh appeared to me in the past and said, “I have loved you, Israel, with everlasting love. So I have drawn you toward myself with covenant faithfulness.
4 Ta sẽ dựng lại ngươi, thì ngươi sẽ được dựng, hỡi gái đồng trinh Y-sơ-ra-ên! Ngươi sẽ lại cầm trống cơm làm trang sức, đi làm một với những người nhảy múa vui vẻ.
I will build you up again so you will be built, virgin Israel. You will again pick up your tambourines and go out with happy dances.
5 Ngươi sẽ lại trồng vườn nho trên núi Sa-ma-ri, những kẻ trồng sẽ trồng và sẽ được hái trái.
You will plant vineyards again on the mountains of Samaria; the farmers will plant and put the fruit to good use.
6 Sẽ có ngày, những kẻ canh trên các núi Ép-ra-im kêu rằng: Hãy chổi dậy, chúng ta hãy lên núi Si-ôn, đến cùng Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời chúng ta!
For a day will come when the watchmen in the mountains of Ephraim will proclaim, 'Arise, let us go up to Zion to Yahweh our God.'
7 Ðức Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Hãy trổi tiếng reo vui vì Gia-cốp; hãy hò hét lên vì dân làm đầu các nước. Khá rao truyền ngợi khen mà rằng: Hỡi Ðức Giê-hô-va, xin hãy cứu dân Ngài, là dân còn sót của Y-sơ-ra-ên.
For Yahweh says this, “Shout for joy over Jacob! Shout in gladness for the chief people of the nations! Let praise be heard. Say, 'Yahweh has rescued his people, the remnant of Israel.'
8 Nầy, ta sẽ đem chúng nó về từ xứ phương bắc, nhóm lại từ các đầu cùng đất. Trong vòng chúng nó sẽ có kẻ đui, kẻ què, đờn bà có nghén, đờn bà đẻ, hiệp nên một hội lớn mà trở về đây.
See, I am about to bring them from the northern lands. I will gather them from the farthest parts of the earth. The blind and lame will be among them; pregnant women and those who are about to give birth will be with them. A great assembly will return here.
9 Chúng nó khóc lóc mà đến, và ta sẽ dắt dẫn trong khi chúng nó nài xin ta; ta sẽ đưa chúng nó đi dọc bờ các sông, theo đường bằng thẳng, chẳng bị vấp ngã. Vì ta làm cha cho Y-sơ-ra-ên, còn Ép-ra-im là con đầu lòng ta.
They will come weeping; I will lead them as they make their pleas. I will have them journey to streams of water on a straight road. They will not stumble on it, for I will be a father to Israel, and Ephraim will be my firstborn.”
10 Hỡi các nước, hãy nghe lời Ðức Giê-hô-va; hãy reo lời ấy ra trong các cù lao xa! Khá nói rằng: Ðấng đã làm tan lạc Y-sơ-ra-ên sẽ thâu nhóm nó lại, sẽ giữ như kẻ chăn giữ bầy mình.
“Hear the word of Yahweh, nations. Report along the coasts in the distance. You nations must say, 'The one who scattered Israel is gathering her up and keeping her as a shepherd keeps his sheep.'
11 Vì Ðức Giê-hô-va đã chuộc giải đáp, cứu khỏi tay kẻ mạnh hơn.
For Yahweh has ransomed Jacob and has redeemed him from the hand that was too strong for him.
12 Họ sẽ đến và hát trên nơi cao của Si-ôn; sẽ trôi chảy đến ơn phước của Ðức Giê-hô-va, đến lúa mì, rượu mới, dầu, và con nhỏ của chiên và bò; lòng họ sẽ như vườn đượm nhuần, chẳng buồn rầu chi nữa hết.
Then they will come and rejoice on the heights of Zion. Their faces will shine because of Yahweh's goodness, over the corn and the new wine, over the oil and the offspring of the flocks and herds. For their lives will become like a watered garden, and they will never again feel any more sorrow.
13 Bấy giờ gái đồng trinh sẽ vui mừng nhảy múa, các người trai trẻ và các ông già cũng sẽ vui chung; vì ta sẽ đổi sự sầu thảm chúng nó ra vui mừng, yên ủi chúng nó, khiến được hớn hở khỏi buồn rầu.
Then virgins will rejoice with dancing, and young and old men will be together. For I will change their mourning into celebration. I will have compassion on them and cause them to rejoice instead of sorrowing.
14 Ta sẽ làm cho lòng các thầy tế lễ chán chê vì đồ ăn béo; dân ta sẽ no nê về ơn phước của ta, Ðức Giê-hô-va phán vậy.
Then I will saturate the lives of the priests in abundance. My people will fill themselves with my goodness—this is Yahweh's declaration.”
15 Ðức Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Tại Ra-ma nghe có tiếng than thở, khóc lóc đắng cay. Ra-chên khóc con cái mình, vì chúng nó không còn nữa!
Yahweh says this: “A voice is heard in Ramah, wailing and bitter weeping. It is Rachel weeping for her children. She refuses to be comforted over them, for they live no longer.”
16 Ðức Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Hãy nín tiếng ngươi, đừng than khóc, mắt ngươi đừng sa lụy, vì công việc của ngươi sẽ được thương; chúng nó sẽ trở về từ xứ kẻ thù, Ðức Giê-hô-va phán vậy.
Yahweh says this, “Hold your voice back from weeping and your eyes from tears; there is a reward for your work—this is Yahweh's declaration—your children will return from the land of the enemy.
17 Ðức Giê-hô-va phán: Sẽ có sự trông mong cho kỳ sau rốt của ngươi; con cái ngươi sẽ trở về bờ cõi mình.
There is hope for your future—this is Yahweh's declaration—your descendants will return inside their borders.”
18 Ta nghe Ép-ra-im vì mình than thở rằng: Ngài đã sửa phạt tôi, tôi bị sửa phạt như con bò tơ chưa quen ách. Xin Chúa cho tôi trở lại, thì tôi sẽ được trở lại; vì Chúa là Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời tôi!
“I have certainly heard Ephraim sorrowing, 'You punished me, and I have been punished like an untrained calf. Bring me back and I will be brought back, for you are Yahweh my God.
19 Thật, sau khi tôi bị trở lại, tôi đã ăn năn; sau khi tôi được dạy dỗ, tôi đã vỗ đùi. Tôi nhuốc nha hổ thẹn, vì đã mang sự sỉ nhục của tuổi trẻ.
For after I turned back to you, I was sorry; after I was trained, I slapped my thigh. I was ashamed and humiliated, for I have borne the guilt of my youth.'
20 Vậy thì Ép-ra-im há là con rất thiết của ta, là con mà ta ưa thích sao? Mỗi khi ta nói nghịch cùng nó, ta còn nhớ đến nó lắm. Cho nên ta đã động lòng vì nó; phải, ta sẽ thương xót nó, Ðức Giê-hô-va phán vậy.
Is not Ephraim my precious child? Is he not my dear, delightful son? For whenever I speak against him, I certainly still call him to my loving mind. In this way my heart longs for him. I will certainly have compassion on him—this is Yahweh's declaration.”
21 Hãy dựng nêu, đặt trụ chỉ lối; hãy để lòng về đường cái, nơi đường ngươi đã noi theo. Hỡi gái đồng trinh Y-sơ-ra-ên, hãy trở về các thành nầy thuộc về ngươi!
Place road signs for yourself. Set up guideposts for yourself. Set your mind on the right path, the way you should take. Come back, virgin Israel! Come back to these cities of yours.
22 Hỡi gái bội nghịch, ngươi sẽ đi dông dài cho đến chừng nào? Vì Ðức Giê-hô-va đã dựng nên một sự mới trên đất: ấy là người nữ sẽ bao bọc người nam.
How long will you waver, faithless daughter? For Yahweh has created something new on earth—a woman surrounds a strong man.
23 Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân, Ðức Chúa Trời Y-sơ-ra-ên, phán như vầy: Khi ta đã đem những phu tù trở về, thì trong đất Giu-đa và các thành nó, người ta sẽ còn nói lời nầy: Hỡi chỗ ở của sự công bình, núi của sự thánh khiết kia, nguyền xin Ðức Giê-hô-va ban phước cho ngươi!
Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel, says this, “When I bring back the people to their land, they will say this in the land of Judah and its cities, 'May Yahweh bless you, you righteous place where he lives, you holy mountain.'
24 Giu-đa cùng mọi thành nó, những người làm ruộng và những kẻ dẫn bầy sẽ ở chung tại đó.
For Judah and all its cities will live together there, as will farmers and those who set out with flocks.
25 Vì ta đã làm cho lòng một mỏi được no nê, và mỗi lòng buồn rầu lại được đầy dẫy.
For I will cause those who are weary to drink, and I fill up those who are faint.”
26 Bấy giờ tôi thức dậy, thấy giấc ngủ tôi ngon lắm.
After this I awoke, and I realized that my sleep had been refreshing.
27 Ðức Giê-hô-va phán: Nầy, những ngày đến, bấy giờ ta sẽ lấy giống người và giống thú vật mà gieo nơi nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên và nhà Giu-đa.
“Look, the days are coming—this is Yahweh's declaration—when I will sow the houses of Israel and Judah with the descendants of man and beast.
28 Như ta đã canh giữ chúng nó đặng nhổ, phá, đổ, diệt và làm khốn khổ thể nào, thì ta cũng sẽ canh giữ để dựng và trồng thể ấy, Ðức Giê-hô-va phán vậy.
In the past, I kept them under surveillance in order to uproot them and to tear them down, to overthrow, destroy, and bring them harm. But in the coming days, I will watch over them, in order to build them up and to plant them—this is Yahweh's declaration.
29 Trong những ngày đó, người ta sẽ không còn nói: Ông cha ăn trái nho chua mà con cháu phải ghê răng.
In those days no one will say any longer, 'Fathers have eaten sour grapes, but the children's teeth are dulled.'
30 Nhưng mỗi người sẽ chết vì sự gian ác mình; hễ ai ăn trái nho chua, thì nầy phải ghê răng vậy.
For each man will die in his own iniquity; everyone who eats sour grapes, his teeth will be dulled.
31 Ðức Giê-hô-va phán: Nầy, những ngày đến, bấy giờ ta sẽ lập một giao ước mới với nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên và với nhà Giu-đa.
Look, the days are coming —this is Yahweh's declaration— when I will establish a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah.
32 Giao ước nầy sẽ không theo giao ước mà ta đã kết với tổ phụ chúng nó trong ngày ta nắm tay dắt ra khỏi đất Ê-díp-tô, tức giao ước mà chúng nó đã phá đi, dầu rằng ta làm chồng chúng nó, Ðức Giê-hô-va phán vậy.
It will not be like the covenant that I established with their fathers in the days when I took them by their hand to bring them out from the land of Egypt, because they broke my covenant, although I was a husband for them. —this is Yahweh's declaration.
33 Ðức Giê-hô-va phán: Nầy là giao ước mà ta sẽ lập với nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên sau những ngày đó. Ta sẽ đặt luật pháp ta trong bụng chúng nó và chép vào lòng. Ta sẽ làm Ðức Chúa Trời chúng nó, chúng nó sẽ làm dân ta.
This is the covenant that I will establish with the house of Israel after these days —this is Yahweh's declaration. I will place my law within them and will write it on their heart, for I will be their God, and they will be my people.
34 Chúng nó ai nấy sẽ chẳng dạy kẻ lân cận mình hay là anh em mình, mà rằng: Hãy nhận biết Ðức Giê-hô-va! vì chúng nó thảy đều sẽ biết ta, kẻ nhỏ cũng như kẻ lớn. Ðức Giê-hô-va phán: Ta sẽ tha sự gian ác chúng nó, và chẳng nhớ tội chúng nó nữa.
Then each man will no longer teach his neighbor, or a man teach his brother and say, 'Know Yahweh!' For all of them will know me, from the smallest of them to the greatest —this is Yahweh's declaration— for I will forgive their iniquity and will no longer call their sins to mind.”
35 Ðức Giê-hô-va, là Ðấng đã ban mặt trời làm sự sáng ban ngày, ban thứ tự mặt trăng và ngôi sao soi ban đêm, lật biển lên, đến nỗi sóng nó gầm thét, Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân là danh của Ngài phán rằng:
Yahweh says this, it is he who makes the sun to shine by day and fixes the moon and stars to shine by night. He is the one who sets the sea in motion so that its waves roar— Yahweh of hosts is his name.
36 Nếu lệ luật đó mất đi khỏi trước mặt ta, thì bấy giờ dòng giống Y-sơ-ra-ên cũng sẽ thôi không làm một nước trước mặt ta đời đời, Ðức Giê-hô-va phán vậy.
“Only if these permanent things vanish from my sight—this is Yahweh's declaration— will Israel's descendants ever stop from forever being a nation before me.”
37 Ðức Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Nếu trên có thể đo được trời, dưới có thể dò được nền đất; thì cũng vậy, ta sẽ bỏ trọn cả dòng giống Y-sơ-ra-ên vì cớ mọi đều chúng nó đã làm, Ðức Giê-hô-va phán vậy.
Yahweh says this, “Only if the highest heavens can be measured, and only if the earth's foundation below can be discovered, will I reject all of Israel's descendants because of all that they have done—this is Yahweh's declaration.”
38 Ðức Giê-hô-va phán: Nầy, những ngày đến, khi thành sẽ được xây lại cho Ðức Giê-hô-va, từ tháp Ha-na-nê-ên cho đến cửa góc.
“Look, the days are coming—this is Yahweh's declaration—when the city will be rebuilt for me, from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate.
39 Dây đo sẽ giăng thẳng qua trên đồi Ga-rép, và vòng quanh đến đất Gô-a.
Then the measuring line will go out again farther, to the hill of Gareb and around Goah.
40 Cả nơi trũng của thây chết và tro, hết thảy đồng ruộng cho đến kho Xết-rôn và đến góc cửa ngựa về phía đông, đều sẽ được biệt riêng ra thánh cho Ðức Giê-hô-va, và đời đời sẽ không bị nhổ đi và đổ xuống nữa.
The whole valley of the dead bodies and the ashes, and all the terraced fields going out to the Kidron Valley as far as the corner of the Horse Gate on the east, will be set apart for Yahweh. The city will not be pulled up or overthrown again, forever.”
