I-sai-a 30
1 Ðức Giê-hô-va phán: Khốn thay cho con cái bội nghịch, lập mưu chẳng bởi ý ta, kết ước chẳng cậy Thần ta, hầu cho thêm tội trên tội;
Woe to the apostate children, saith the Lord: ye have framed counsel, not by me, and covenants not by my Spirit, to add sins to sins:
2 chúng nó chưa hỏi miệng ta, đã khởi đi xuống Ê-díp-tô, để cậy sức mạnh của Pha-ra-ôn mà thêm sức cho mình, và núp dưới bóng Ê-díp-tô!
[even] they that proceed to go down into Egypt, but they have not enquired of me, that they might be helped by Pharao, and protected by the Egyptians.
3 Cho nên sức mạnh của Pha-ra-ôn sẽ làm sỉ nhục các ngươi, nơi ẩn náu dưới bóng Ê-díp-tô sẽ trở nên sự xấu hổ các ngươi.
For the protection of Pharaoh shall be to you a disgrace, and [there shall be] a reproach to them that trust in Egypt.
4 Các quan trưởng dân nó đã tới Xô-an, sứ giả đã đến Ha-ne;
For there are princes in Tanes, evil messengers.
5 hết thảy sẽ mắc cỡ vì một dân kia chẳng làm ích chi cho mình, chẳng cứu giúp cũng chẳng làm lợi, song làm cho mang hổ mang nhuốc.
In vain shall they labour [in seeking] to a people, which shall not profit them for help, but [shall be] for a shame and reproach.
6 Gánh nặng về các thú vật phương nam. Trong xứ gian nan khốn khổ, tự xứ đó đến những sư tử đực, sư tử cái, rắn lục và rắn lửa bay. Chúng nó chở của cải mình trên vai lửa con, vật báu trên gu lạc đà, đặng dâng cho một dân tộc chẳng làm ích gì được hết.
THE VISION OF THE QUADRUPEDS IN THE DESERT. In affliction and distress, [where are] the lion and lion's whelp, thence [come] also asps, and the young of flying asps, [there shall they be] who bore their wealth on asses and camels to a nation which shall not profit them.
7 Sự cứu giúp của người Ê-díp-tô chẳng qua là hư không vô ích, nên ta đặt tên nó là Ra-háp, ngồi yên chẳng động.
The Egyptians shall help you utterly in vain: tell them, This your consolation is vain.
8 Bây giờ, ngươi hãy đi, chạm lời nầy trên bảng nhỏ ở trước mặt họ, hãy chép vào sách, để truyền lại đời sau, mãi mãi không cùng.
Now then sit down and write these words on a tablet, and in a book; for these things shall be for [many long] days, and even for ever.
9 Dân nầy là bội nghịch, là con cái nói dối, con cái không muốn nghe luật pháp Ðức Giê-hô-va;
For the people is disobedient, false children, who would not hear the law of God:
10 nói với kẻ tiên kiến rằng: Ðừng tiên kiến làm chi! nói với kẻ tiên tri rằng: Ðừng nói tiên tri về lẽ thật! Hãy nói cho chúng tôi những đều vui thú, hãy lấy những sự huyễn hoặc bảo chúng tôi!
who say to the prophets, Report not to us; and to them that see visions, Speak [them] not to us, but speak and report to us another error;
11 Hãy lìa khỏi đường, bỏ khỏi lối, cất Ðấng Thánh của Y-sơ-ra-ên khỏi mặt chúng tôi!
and turn us aside from this way; remove from us this path, and remove from us the oracle of Israel.
12 Vậy nên, Ðấng Thánh của Y-sơ-ra-ên phán như vầy: Vì các ngươi khinh bỏ lời nầy, cậy điều bạo ngược và trái nghịch, mà nương-nhờ những sự ấy,
Therefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye have refused to obey these words, and have trusted in falsehood; and because thou hast murmured, and been confident in this respect:
13 bởi cớ đó, tội các ngươi như tường nẻ sắp vỡ, lồi ra trên cao, chỉ trong giây phút sẽ thình lình đổ xuống.
therefore shall this sin be to you as a wall suddenly falling when a strong city has been taken, of which the fall is very near at hand.
14 Ngài sẽ đập bể nó như cái bình thợ gốm bị bể ra, bể ra từng miếng, chẳng tiếc gì; đến nỗi trong những miếng mẻ nó, sẽ chẳng tìm được một mảnh nào để lấy lửa nơi bếp hay là múc nước nơi hồ.
And the fall thereof shall be as the breaking of an earthen vessel, [as] small fragments of a pitcher, so that thou shouldest not find among them a sherd, with which thou mightest take up fire, and with which thou shouldest draw a little water.
15 Vả, Chúa Giê-hô-va, là Ðấng Thánh của Y-sơ-ra-ên, có phán như vầy: Các ngươi sẽ được rỗi, là tại trở lại và yên nghỉ; các ngươi sẽ được sức mạnh, là tại yên lặng và trông cậy. Nhưng các ngươi đã không muốn thế!
Thus saith the Lord, the Holy Lord of Israel; When thou shalt turn and mourn, then thou shalt be saved; and thou shalt know where thou wast, when thou didst trust in vanities: [then] your strength became vain, yet ye would not hearken:
16 Các ngươi nói rằng: Không; chúng tôi sẽ cỡi ngựa chạy trốn! Ừ phải, các ngươi sẽ phải chạy trốn. Chúng tôi cỡi ngựa chạy mau! Ừ phải, những kẻ đuổi theo các ngươi cũng sẽ chạy mau!
but ye said, We will flee upon horses; therefore shall ye flee: and, We will be aided by swift riders; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift.
17 Một người dọa, ngàn người đi trốn; năm người dọa, các ngươi đều đi trốn, cho đến chừng nào các ngươi còn sót lại như cây vọi trên đỉnh núi, như cờ xí trên gò.
A thousand shall flee because of the voice of one, and many shall flee on account of the voice of five; until ye be left as a signal-post upon a mountain, and as one bearing an ensign upon a hill.
18 Dầu vậy, Ðức Giê-hô-va còn chờ đợi để làm ơn cho các ngươi; Ngài sẽ được tôn lên mà thương xót các ngươi; vì Giê-hô-va là Ðức Chúa Trời công nghĩa. Phước thay cho mọi kẻ trông đợi Ngài!
And the Lord will again wait, that he may pity you, and will therefore be exalted that he may have mercy upon you: because the Lord your God is a judge: blessed are they that stay themselves upon him.
19 Vì dân nầy sẽ ở trong Si-ôn nơi Giê-ru-sa-lem; ngươi chẳng còn khóc lóc nữa. Khi ngươi kêu, Ngài chắc sẽ làm ơn; mới vừa nghe ngươi, Ngài liền nhậm lời.
For the holy people shall dwell in Sion: and [whereas] Jerusalem has wept bitterly, [saying], Pity me; he shall pity thee: when he perceived the voice of thy cry, he hearkened to thee.
20 Dầu Chúa ban bánh hoạn nạn và nước khốn khó cho các ngươi, các thầy giáo ngươi sẽ chẳng lẩn khuất nữa, mắt ngươi sẽ được thấy các thầy giáo ngươi.
And [though] the Lord shall give you the bread of affliction and scant water, yet they that cause thee to err shall no more at all draw nigh to thee; for thine eyes shall see those that cause thee to err,
21 Khi các ngươi xê qua bên hữu hoặc bên tả, tai các ngươi sẽ nghe có tiếng đằng sau mình rằng: Nầy là đường đây, hãy noi theo!
and thine ears shall hear the words of them that went after thee to lead thee astray, who say, This [is] the way, let us walk in it, whether to the right or to the left.
22 Các ngươi sẽ lấy bạc bọc tượng chạm, lấy vàng thếp tượng đúc của mình làm ô uế, mà ném ra xa như đồ dơ bẩn, và bảo nó rằng: Hãy ra khỏi đây!
And thou shalt pollute the plated idols, and thou shalt grind to powder the gilt ones, and shalt scatter them as the water of a removed [woman], and thou shalt thrust them forth as dung.
23 Chúa sẽ khiến mưa xuống trên giống các ngươi gieo ở đất; bánh lương thực từ đất sanh sản sẽ màu mỡ và dư dật; trong ngày đó, súc vật các ngươi sẽ ăn cỏ nơi đồng rộng.
Then shall there be rain to the seed of thy land; and the bread of the fruit of thy land shall be plenteous and rich: and thy cattle shall feed in that day in a fertile and spacious place.
24 Bò và lừa con cày ruộng sẽ ăn thóc ngon mà người ta dê bằng mủng với nia.
Your bulls and your oxen that till the ground, shall eat chaff mixed with winnowed barley.
25 Ðến ngày chém giết lớn, khi đồn lũy đổ xuống, thì trên mọi núi cao đồi cả sẽ có những suối nước chảy.
And there shall be upon every lofty mountain and upon every high hill, water running in that day, when many shall perish, and when the towers shall fall.
26 Sáng mặt trăng sẽ chói lói như sáng mặt trời, và sự sáng mặt trời sẽ lớn hơn bảy lần, như vốn là sự sáng của bảy ngày, trong ngày Ðức Giê-hô-va buộc dấu vít của dân Ngài, và chữa lành vết thương nó.
And the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold in the day when the Lord shall heal the breach of his people, and shall heal the pain of thy wound.
27 Nầy, danh Ðức Giê-hô-va từ xa mà đến; cơn giận phừng phừng, như khói đậm bay lên, môi đầy thạnh nộ, lưỡi giống như lửa nuốt.
Behold, the name of the Lord comes after a [long] time, burning wrath: the word of his lips is with glory, a word full of anger, and the anger of his wrath shall devour as fire.
28 Hơi thở Ngài khác nào sông vỡ lở, nước lên ngập đến cổ. Ngài lấy cái sàng hủy diệt mà sáng các nước, và dùng cái khớp dẫn đi lạc đường mà khớp làm các dân.
And his breath, as rushing water in a valley, shall reach as far as the neck, and be divided, to confound the nations for [their] vain error: error also shall pursue them, and overtake them.
29 Bấy giờ các ngươi sẽ xướng ca như trong đêm giữ lễ thánh. Các ngươi sẽ có sự vui trong lòng, như kẻ thổi sáo mà lên núi Ðức Giê-hô-va, đến cùng vầng Ðá của Y-sơ-ra-ên.
Must ye always rejoice, and go into my holy places continually, as they that keep a feast? and must ye go with a pipe, as those that rejoice, into the mountain of the Lord, to the God of Israel?
30 Ðức Giê-hô-va sẽ làm cho nghe tiếng oai nghiêm Ngài. Ngài sẽ tỏ cánh tay ngăm đe của mình ra, giữa cơn giận Ngài, những ngọn lửa nuốt, gió táp, bão, và mưa đá.
And the Lord shall make his glorious voice to be heard, and the wrath of his arm, to make a display with wrath and anger and devouring flame: he shall lighten terribly, and [his wrath shall be] as water and violent hail.
31 Vì, A-si-ri sẽ nghe tiếng Ðức Giê-hô-va mà run sợ. Ngài sẽ lấy roi đánh A-si-ri;
For by the voice of the Lord the Assyrians shall be overcome, [even] by the stroke wherewith he shall smite them.
32 và mỗi khi Ðức Giê-hô-va lấy roi định đánh nó, thì người ta sẽ nghe tiếng trống và đờn cầm; và trong những trận mạc Ðức Giê-hô-va sẽ vung cánh tay mà tranh chiến cùng nó.
And it shall happen to him from every side, [that] they from whom their hope of assistance was, in which he trusted, themselves shall war against him in turn with drums and with harp.
33 Vì Tô-phết đã sửa soạn từ xưa; sắm sẳn cho cho vua. Nó sâu và rộng, trên có lửa và củi thật nhiều; hơi thở của Ðức Giê-hô-va như suối lưu hoàng nhúm nó.
For thou shalt be required before [thy] time: has it been prepared for thee also to reign? nay, God has [prepared for thee] a deep trench, wood piled, fire and much wood: the wrath of the Lord [shall be] as a trench kindled with sulphur.
