I-sai-a 11
1 Có một chồi sẽ nứt lên từ gốc Y-sai, một nhành từ rễ nó sẽ ra trái.
A shoot will grow from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots will produce fruit.
2 Thần của Ðức Giê-hô-va sẽ ngự trên Ngài, tức là thần khôn ngoan và thông sáng, thần mưu toan và mạnh sức, thần hiểu biết và kính sợ Ðức Giê-hô-va.
The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him, which is Spirit of wisdom and understanding, a Spirit of advice and power, a Spirit of knowledge and awe of the Lord.
3 Ngài lấy sự kính sợ Ðức Giê-hô-va làm vui; chẳng phán xét theo mắt mình thấy, và chẳng cứ sự tai nghe mà đoán định.
His happiness will be in giving reverence to the Lord. He will not judge by what he sees, and he will not make decisions based on what he hears.
4 Nhưng Ngài sẽ dùng sự công bình xét đoán kẻ nghèo, và xử lẽ ngay thẳng cho kẻ nhu mì trên đất. Ngài sẽ đánh thế gian bằng cái gậy của mình mình, và lấy hơi thở nơi môi mà giết kẻ ác.
Instead, he will judge the poor justly, and make decisions fairness on behalf of the destitute people of the earth. He will strike the earth when he pronounces judgment, and he will execute the wicked with just a word from his lips.
5 Sự công bình sẽ làm dây thắt lưng của Ngài, sự thành tín sẽ làm dây ràng hông.
He will wear goodness like a sash and trustworthiness like a belt.
6 Bấy giờ muông sói sẽ ở với chiên con, beo nằm với dê con; bò con, sư tử con với bò nuôi mập cùng chung một chỗ, một đứa con trẻ sẽ dắt chúng nó đi.
Wolves will live with lambs; leopards will lie down with young goats, calves and young lions and young livestock will be together, and a small child will lead them along.
7 Bò cái sẽ ăn với gấu; các con nhỏ chúng nó nằm chung, sư tử ăn cỏ khô như bò.
Cows and bears will graze side by side; young lions will eat straw like cattle.
8 Trẻ con đương bú sẽ chơi kề ở rắn hổ mang, trẻ con thôi bú sẽ thò tay vào hang rắn lục.
Babies will be able to play safely near snake holes, little children will be able to put their hands into a vipers' den.
9 Nó chẳng làm hại, chẳng giết ai trong cả núi thánh của ta; vì thế gian sẽ đầy dẫy sự hiểu biết Ðức Giê-hô-va, như các dòng nước che lấp biển.
Nothing will cause any harm or damage anywhere on my holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord in the same way that water fills the sea.
10 Xảy ra trong ngày đó, rễ Y-sai đứng lên làm cờ cho muôn dân, các nước đều tìm đến Ngài, nơi an nghỉ của Ngài sẽ được vinh hiển.
At that time the root of Jesse will stand like a banner for the nations. Foreigners will come to him, and the place of where he lives will be glorious.
11 Trong ngày đó, Chúa còn đặt tay một lần nữa đặng chuộc dân sót của Ngài, tức là kẻ sót lại bởi A-si-ri, Ê-díp-tô, Pha-trô, Cút, Ê-lam, Si-nê-a, Ha-mát cùng các cù lao biển.
At that time the Lord will act a second time to bring back the remnant of His people from Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Ethiopia, Elam, Babylonia, Hamath, and from the Mediterranean islands.
12 Chúa sẽ dựng một cây cờ cho các nước; nhóm những người Y-sơ-ra-ên bị đuổi, thâu những người Giu-đa lưu lạc, từ bốn góc đất.
He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiled people of Israel; he will bring together the scattered people of Judah from the ends of the earth.
13 Bấy giờ sự ghen tương của Ép-ra-im sẽ mất, kẻ khuấy rối Giu-đa sẽ bị trừ đi; Ép-ra-im không ghen ghét Giu-đa nữa, Giu-đa không khuấy rối Ép-ra-im nữa.
Ephraim's jealousy will disappear, and Judah's enemies will be destroyed; Ephraim won't be jealous of Judah, and Judah won't treat Ephraim as an enemy.
14 Chúng nó sẽ bay trên vai đến Phi-li-tin về phía tây; cùng nhau cướp giựt con cái phương đông; tra tay trên Ê-đôm và Mô-áp; con cái Am-môn sẽ vâng phục họ.
Together they will fly downhill to attack the Philistines to the west; they will plunder the people of the east. They will defeat Edom and Moab, and the Ammonites will become their subjects.
15 Ðức Giê-hô-va sẽ làm cạn tắt giải biển Ê-díp-tô; vung tay trên Sông cái bởi gió cháy của Ngài, đánh mà chia ra làm bảy suối, và khiến người ta có thể đi qua không ướt dép.
The Lord will divide the Gulf of Suez; he will wave his hand over the Euphrates River creating a scorching wind. He will split into seven streams that people can cross easily on foot.
16 Vậy, sẽ có một đường cái cho dân sót của Ngài, là những kẻ sót lại bởi A-si-ri, cũng như đã có một đường cái cho Y-sơ-ra-ên trong ngày họ ra khỏi xứ Ê-díp-tô vậy.
There will be a highway from Assyria for the remnant of his people that are left, just as there was for Israel when they left the land of Egypt.
