Sáng Thế 13
1 Áp-ram ở Ê-díp-tô dẫn vợ cùng các tài vật mình và Lót đồng trở lên Nam phương.
And he went up Abram from Egypt he and wife his and all that [belonged] to him and Lot with him the Negev towards.
2 Vả, Áp-ram rất giàu có súc vật, vàng và bạc.
And Abram [was] wealthy very in livestock in silver and in gold.
3 người vừa đi vừa đóng trại, từ Nam phương trở về Bê-tên và A-hi,
And he went to journeyings his from [the] Negev and to Beth-el to the place where it had been there (tent his *Q(K)*) at the beginning between Beth-el and between Ai.
4 là nơi đã lập một bàn thờ lúc trước. Ở đó Áp-ram cầu khẩn danh Ðức Giê-hô-va.
To [the] place of the altar which he had made there at the former [time] and he called there Abram on [the] name of Yahweh.
5 Vả, Lót cùng đi với Áp-ram, cũng có chiên, bò, và trại.
And also to Lot who was traveling with Abram it be[longed] sheep and cattle and tents.
6 Xứ đó không đủ chỗ cho hai người ở chung, vì tài vật rất nhiều cho đến đỗi không ở chung nhau được.
And not it supported them the land to dwell together for it was possession[s] their much and not they were able to dwell together.
7 Trong khi dân Ca-na-an và dân Phê-rê-sít ở trong xứ, xảy có chuyện tranh giành của bọn chăn chiên Áp-ram cùng bọn chăn chiên Lót.
And it was quarreling between [the] herdsmen of [the] livestock of Abram and between [the] herdsmen of [the] livestock of Lot and the Canaanite[s] and the Perizzite[s] then [was] dwelling in the land.
8 Áp-ram nói cùng Lót rằng: Chúng ta là cốt nhục, xin ngươi cùng ta chẳng nên cãi lẫy nhau và bọn chăn chiên ta cùng bọn chăn chiên ngươi cũng đừng tranh giành nhau nữa.
And he said Abram to Lot may not please there be strife between me and between you and between herdsmen my and between herdsmen your for [are] men brothers we.
9 Toàn xứ há chẳng ở trước mặt ngươi sao? Vậy, hãy lìa khỏi ta; nếu ngươi lấy bên hữu, ta sẽ qua bên tả.
¿ Not [is] all the land before you separate please from with me if the left so let me go right and if the right and I will go left.
10 Lót bèn ngước mắt lên, thấy khắp cánh đồng bằng bên sông Giô-đanh, là nơi (trước khi Ðức Giê-hô-va chưa phá hủy thành Sô-đôm và Gô-mô-rơ) thảy đều có nước chảy tưới khắp đến Xoa; đồng ó cũng như vườn của Ðức Giê-hô-va và như xứ Ê-díp-tô vậy.
And he lifted up Lot eyes his and he saw all [the] valley of the Jordan that all of it [was] well-watered before - destroyed Yahweh Sodom and Gomorrah like [the] garden of Yahweh like [the] land of Egypt going you Zoar.
11 Lót bèn chọn lấy cho mình hết cánh đồng bằng bên sông Giô-đanh và đi qua phía Ðông. Vậy, hai người chia rẽ nhau.
And he chose for himself Lot all [the] valley of the Jordan and he set out Lot from [the] east and they separated each from with brother his.
12 Áp-ram ở trong xứ Ca-na-an, còn Lót ở trong thành của đồng bằng và dời trại mình đến Sô-đôm.
Abram he dwelt in [the] land of Canaan and Lot he dwelt in [the] cities of the valley and he moved tent to Sodom.
13 Vả, dân Sô-đôm là độc ác và kẻ phạm tội trọng cùng Ðức Giê-hô-va.
And [the] people of Sodom [were] wicked and sinful to Yahweh exceedingly.
14 Sau khi Lót lìa khỏi Áp-ram rồi, Ðức Giê-hô-va phán cùng Áp-ram rằng: Hãy nhướng mắt lên, nhìn từ chỗ ngươi cho đến phương bắc, phương nam, phương đông và phương tây:
And Yahweh he said to Abram after separated Lot from with him lift up please eyes your and look from the place where you [are] there north-ward and south-ward and east-ward and west-ward.
15 Vì cả xứ nào ngươi thấy, ta sẽ ban cho ngươi và cho dòng dõi ngươi đời đời.
For all the land which you [are] seeing to you I will give it and to offspring your until perpetuity.
16 Ta sẽ làm cho dòng dõi ngươi như bụi trên đất; thế thì, nếu kẻ nào đếm đặng dòng dõi ngươi vậy.
And I will make offspring your like [the] dust of the earth which - if he will be able anyone to count [the] dust of the earth also offspring your it will numbered.
17 Hãy đứng dậy đi khắp trong xứ, bề dài và bề ngang; vì ta sẽ ban cho ngươi xứ nầy.
Arise walk about in the land to length its and to breadth its for to you I will give it.
18 Ðoạn áp-ram đời trại mình đến ở nơi lùm cây dẻ bộp tại Mam-rê, thuộc về Hếp-rôn, và lập tại đó một bàn thờ cho Ðức Giê-hô-va.
And he moved tent Abram and he went and he dwelt at [the] great trees of Mamre which [are] at Hebron and he built there an altar to Yahweh.
