1 Nầy những trưởng tộc và gia phổ của các ngươi từ Ba-by-lôn đi lên với ta, trong đời vua Aït-ta-xét-xe trị vì.

2 Về con cháu Phi-nê-a có Ghẹt-sôn; về con cháu Y-tha-ma có Ða-ni-ên; về con cháu Ða-vít có Hát-túc;

Of the sones of Phynees, Gerson; of the sones of Ythamar, Danyel; of the sones of Dauid, Arcus;

3 về con cháu Sê-ca-nia, con cháu Pha-rốt có Xa-cha-ri, và những kẻ ở với người; theo gia phổ sổ được một trăm năm mươi nam đinh;

of the sones of Sechemye and of the sones of Pharos, Zacarie, and with hym weren noumbrid an hundrid and fifti men;

4 về con cháu Pha-hát-Mô-áp có Ê-li-ô-ê-nai, co trai của Xê-ra-hi-gai, và với người được hai trăm nam đinh;

of the sones of Phet, Moab, and Elioneay, the sone of Zacharie, and with hym two hundrid men;

5 về con cháu Se-ca-nia có con trai Gia-ha-xi-ên, và với người được ba trăm nam đinh;

6 về con cháu A-đin có Ê-bết, con trai Giô-na-than, và với người được năm mươi nam đinh;

9 về con cháu Giô-áp có Áp-đia, con trai Giê-hi-ên, và với người được hai trăm mưới tám nam đinh;

10 về con cháu Sê-lô-mít có con trai Giô-si-phia, và với người được một trăm sáu mươi nam đinh;

11 về con cháu Bê-bai có Xa-cha-ri, con trai của Bê-bai, và với người được hai mươi tám nam đinh.

13 nhưng kẻ thuộc về con cháu A-đô-ni-cam đến sau hết; tên chúng là Ê-li-phê-lết, Giê-hi-ên, và Sa-ma-gia, và với họ được sáu mươi nam đinh;

15 Ta nhóm hiệp chúng gần bên sông chảy về A-ha-va, rồi chúng ta hạ trại tại đó ba ngày. Ðoạn ta xem xét dân sự và thầy tế lễ, song chẳng thấy một người Lê-vi nào hết.

16 Ta bèn sai gọi các trưởng tộc Ê-li-ê-xe, A-ri-ên, Sê-ma-gia, Ê-na-than, Gia-ríp, Eân-na-than, Na-than, Xa-cha-ri, và Mê-su-lam, luôn Giô-gia-ríp và Eân-na-than, là thầy giáo sư;

17 Ta sai các người ấy đi đến trưởng tộc Y-đô ở tại Ca-si-phia, biểu họ phải dạy Y-đô và các anh em người, tức người Nê-thi-nim, ở tại Ca-si-phia, phải dẫn đến cùng chúng ta những kẻ giúp việc nơi đền thờ của Ðức Chúa Trời chúng ta.

18 Vì nhờ tay Ðức Chúa Trời chúng ta phù trợ, các người ấy dẫn đến cùng chúng ta một người khôn ngoan, thuộc về dòng Mách-li, là hậu tự của Lê-vi, con trai của Y-sơ-ra-ên, luôn Sê-rê-bia, và các con trai cùng anh em người, số được mười tám tên;

19 lại được Ha-sa-bia và Ê-sai, thuộc về dòng Mê-ra-ri, cùng các anh em và các con trai người, số là hai mươi tên;

20 còn trong những người Nê-thi-nim mà Ða-vít và các quan trưởng đã đặt giúp việc người Lê-vi, thì có được hai trăm hai mươi người, thảy đều gọi đích danh.

and of Nathynneis, whiche Dauid and the princis hadden youe to the seruyces of dekenes, thei brouyten two hundrid and twenti Nathynneis; alle these weren clepid bi her names.

21 Tại đó, gần bên sông A-ha-va, ta truyền kiêng cữ ăn, để chúng hạ mình xuống trước mặt Ðức Chúa Trời chúng ta, và cầu xin Ngài chỉ cho biết đường chánh đáng chúng ta, con cái chúng ta, và tài sản mình phải đi.

22 Vả lại, ta lấy làm thẹn, chẳng dám xin vua một đạo quân và lính kỵ binh vực chúng ta khỏi kẻ thù nghịch trong lúc đi đường; vì chúng ta có nói với vua rằng: Tay của Ðức Chúa Trời chúng tôi phù trợ mọi kẻ nào tìm kiếm Ngài; nhưng quyền năng và thạnh nộ Ngài kháng cự nhũng kẻ nào lìa bỏ Ngài.

23 Ấy vậy, chúng ta kiêng cữ ăn và cầu xin Ngài điều ấy; Ngài bèn nhậm lời chúng ta.

24 Trong những thầy tế lễ, ta bèn chọn mười hai người trưởng, là Sê-rê-bia, Ha-sa-bia và mười người anh em họ;

25 đoạn, ta cân cho chúng các bạc, vàng, và những khí dụng mà vua, các mưu thần, các quan trưởng vua, cùng cả dân Y-sơ-ra-ên có mặt tại đó, đã dâng cho đền của Ðức Chúa Trời chúng ta.

and Y bitook vndur certeyn weiyte and noumbre to hem the siluer and gold, and the halewid vessels of the hows of oure God, whiche the kyng hadde offrid, and hise counseleris, and hise princes, and `al Israel, of hem that weren foundun.

26 Vậy, ta cân giao cho họ sáu trăm năm mươi ta lâng bạc, khí dụng bằng bạc giá một trăm ta lâng, và một trăm ta ta lâng vàng,

And Y bitook vndur certeyn weiyte and noumbre in the hondis of hem sixe hundrid and fifti talentis of siluer, and an hundrid siluerne vessels; an hundrid talentis of gold,

27 hai mươi cái chén bằng vàng giá một ngàn đa-riếc, và hai cái chậu vằng đồng bóng láng tốt nhứt, cũng quí như vàng.

and twenti goldun cuppis, that hadden a thousynde peesis of gold; and twei faire vessels of best bras, schynynge as gold.

28 Rồi ta nói với chúng rằng: Chánh các ngươi đã được biệt riêng ra thánh cho Ðức Giê-hô-va, và các khí dụng nầy cũng là thánh. Bạc và vàng nầy là lễ vật lạc ý dâng cho Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời của tổ phụ các ngươi.

And Y seide to hem, Ye ben the hooli men of the Lord,

29 Khá gìn giữ nó kỹ lưỡng cho đến chừng các ngươi cân lại trước mặt những thầy tế lễ cả, và người Lê-vi, cùng trước mặt các trưởng tộc của Y-sơ-ra-ên tại Giê-ru-sa-lem, trong kho đền thờ của Ðức Giê-hô-va.

and wake ye, and kepe the hooli vessels, and siluer and gold, which is offrid bi fre wille to the Lord God of oure fadris, til ye yelde vndur certeyn weiyte and noumbre bifor th princes of prestis, and of dekenes, and bifor the duykis of meynees of Israel in Jerusalem, in to the tresour of Goddis hows.

30 Vậy, những thầy tế lễ và người Lê-vi, sau khi đã kiểm soát lại sự cân nặng của bạc, vàng, và những khí dụng rồi, bèn thâu nhận đặn đem đến Giê-ru-sa-lem, trong đền thờ của Ðức Chúa Trời chúng ta.

31 Ngày mười hai tháng giêng, chúng ta ở sông A-ha-va khởi-hành, đặng đi lên đến Giê-ru-sa-lem. Tay của Ðức Chúa Trời chúng ta phù trợ chúng ta, giải cứu chúng ta khỏi tay kẻ thù nghịch, và khỏi kẻ rình phục dọc đường.

33 Ngày thứ tư, chúng ta cân lại bạc, vàng, và những khí dụng trong đền thờ Ðức Chúa Trời, rồi giao cho Mê-rê-mốt, con trai U-ri, thầy tế lễ (với người có Ê-lê-a-sa, con trai của Phi-nê-a, Giô-xa-báp, con trai Giê-sua, và Nô-a-đia, con trai Bin-nui, người Lê-vi),

35 Những người đã bị bắt làm phu tù được trở về, dâng của lễ thiêu cho Ðức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên bằng mười hai con bò đực vì cả Y-sơ-ra-ên, chín mươi sáu con chiên đực, bảy mươi bảy con chiên con, và mười hai con dê đực để làm của lễ chuộc tội: cả thảy đều dâng lên làm của lễ thiêu cho Ðức Giê-hô-va.

36 Chúng giao chiếu ch»- của vua cho các quan trấn, và cho các quan cai của vua ở phía bên nầy sông họ bèn giúp đỡ dân sự và việc đền thờ của Ðức Chúa Trời.

Forsothe thei yauen the comaundementis of the kyng to the princes, that weren of the siyt of the king, and to the duykis biyende the flood; and thei reisiden the puple, and the hows of God.
