Phục Truyền Luật Lệ 23
1 Người hoạn, hoặc vì ngoại thận bị dập, hay là bị cắt, sẽ không được phép vào hội của Ðức Giê-hô-va.
Neither he that hath been mutilated by crushing, nor he that hath had his privy member cut off, shall enter into the convocation of Yahweh.
2 Con ngoại tình không được phép vào hội của Ðức Giê-hô-va, dầu đến đời thứ mười cũng chẳng vào được.
A bastard shall not enter into the convocation of Yahweh, —even to the tenth generation, shall none of his enter into the convocation of Yahweh.
3 Dân Am-môn và dân Mô-áp sẽ không được phép vào hội Ðức Giê-hô-va, dầu đến đời thứ mười cũng chẳng hề bao giờ vào được;
Neither an Ammonite nor a Moabite shall enter into the convocation of Yahweh, —even to the tenth generation, shall none that belong to them enter into the convocation of Yahweh, unto times age-abiding:
4 bởi vì khi các ngươi ra khỏi xứ Ê-díp-tô, chúng nó không đem bánh và nước ra rước các ngươi trên đường, và bởi vì chúng nó có mướn Ba-la-am, con trai Bê-ô, ở Phê-thô-rơ tại Mê-sô-bô-ta-mi, đi đến rủa sả ngươi.
because they met you not with bread and water, in the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt, —but hired against thee Balaam son of Beor from Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.
5 Nhưng Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi không chịu nghe Ba-la-am, bèn đổi sự rủa sả ra sự chúc phước cho ngươi, vì Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi thương mến ngươi.
Nevertheless, Yahweh thy God consented not to hearken unto Balaam, but Yahweh thy God turned, for thee, the curse into a blessing, —because Yahweh thy God loved thee.
6 Trọn đời ngươi chớ hề cầu sự bình an hoặc sự ích lợi cho chúng nó.
Thou shalt not seek their peace nor their welfare, —all thy days, unto times age-abiding.
7 Chớ lấy làm gớm ghiếc người Ê-đôm, vì là anh em mình. Cũng chớ lấy làm gớm ghiếc người Ê-díp-tô, vì ngươi đã làm khách trong xứ người,
Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite, for thy brother, he is, —thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian, for a sojourner, becamest thou in his land;
8 con cháu họ sanh về đời thứ ba sẽ được phép vào hội Ðức Giê-hô-va.
the sons who are born to them, of the third generation, may enter unto them in the convocation of Yahweh.
9 Khi ngươi kéo binh ra hãm đánh quân thù nghịch mình, hãy coi chừng về mọi việc ác.
When thou goest forth into camp against thine enemies, then shalt thou beware of everything foul.
10 Ví bằng trong các ngươi có ai không được tinh sạch bởi mộng di xảy đến lúc ban đêm, thì người đó phải đi ra ngoài trại quân, chớ vào;
When there is in thy midst a man who is not clean through a mischance of the night, then shall he go forth unto the outside of the camp, he shall not come into the midst of the camp;
11 buổi chiều người sẽ tắm trong nước, rồi khi mặt trời vừa lặn, sẽ vào trại quân lại.
but it shall be, when the evening cometh on, he shall bathe himself in water, —and at the going in of the sun, he shall come into the midst of the camp.
12 Ngươi phải có một chỗ riêng ở ngoài trại quân; ấy là nơi ngươi phải đi ra;
And a place aside, shalt thou have, without the camp, —whither thou canst go forth abroad;
13 phải có một cây nọc với đồ tùy thân, khi nào muốn đi ra ngoài, hãy lấy cây nọc nầy mà đào, rồi khi đi, phải lấp phẩn mình lại.
and a blade, shalt thou have upon thy staff, —so shall it be, that when thou wouldest sit down outside, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which hath passed from thee:
14 Bởi vì Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi đi giữa trại quân ngươi, đặng giải cứu người và phó kẻ thù nghịch cho. Vậy, trại quân ngươi phải thánh, kẻo Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi thấy sự ô uế ơ nơi ngươi, và xây mặt khỏi ngươi chăng.
for, Yahweh thy God, walketh to and fro in the midst of thy camp, to rescue thee, and to deliver up thine enemies before thee, so shall thy camps be holy, —and he shall see in thee no shameful thing, that he should turn away from following thee.
15 Khi tôi tớ trốn khỏi chủ mình chạy đến nhà ngươi, chớ nộp nó lại cho chủ;
Thou shalt not deliver up a slave unto his lord, —one who maketh his escape unto thee, from his lord:
16 nó sẽ ở với ngươi tại giữa xứ ngươi, trong nơi nào nó chọn, tức trong một thành nào của ngươi mà nó lấy làm ưa thích; chớ hà hiếp nó.
with thee, shall he remain in thy midst, in the place which he shall choose in any of thy gates where it seemeth good to him, —thou shalt not oppress him.
17 Trong vòng con gái Y-sơ-ra-ên, chớ có người nào chuyên sự buôn hương; trong vòng con trai Y-sơ-ra-ên cũng chớ có người nào chuyên sự tà dâm.
There shall be no female devotee of the daughters of Israel, —neither shall there be, a male devotee, of the sons of Israel.
18 Mặc dầu sự hứa nguyện ngươi thể nào, chớ đem vào nhà của Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi, hoặc tiền công của một con đĩ, hay là giá trả cho một con chó; vì cả hai đều lấy làm gớm ghiếc cho Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi.
Thou shalt not bring the wages of an unchaste woman, or the hire of a dog, into the house of Yahweh thy God for any vow, —for, an abomination unto Yahweh thy God, are they both.
19 Ngươi chớ đòi lời-lãi gì nơi anh em mình về tiền bạc, về đồ ăn hay là về món nào mặc dầu người ta cho vay, để ăn lời.
Thou shalt not lend on interest to thy brother, interest of silver, interest of food, —interest of any thing that can be lent on interest:
20 Ngươi được phép lấy lợi người ngoại bang, nhưng chớ lấy lợi anh em mình, để Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi ban phước cho ngươi về mọi việc ngươi sẽ làm trong xứ mà ngươi sẽ vào để nhận lấy.
to a foreigner, thou mayest lend on interest, but to thy brother, shalt thou not lend on interest, —that Yahweh thy God may bless thee, in everything where-unto thou puttest thy hand, upon the land which thou art entering to possess.
21 Khi ngươi hứa nguyện cùng Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi, thì chớ trì hoãn làm cho xong; vì Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi hẳn sẽ đòi sự hoàn nguyện ấy; bằng chẳng làm cho xong, ngươi sẽ mang lấy tội.
When thou shalt vow a vow unto Yahweh thy God, thou shalt not delay to make it good, —for Yahweh thy God would, require, it of thee, and it should be in thee sin.
22 Nhưng nếu ngươi không hứa nguyện, thì không phạm tội.
But, if thou refrain from vowing, it shall not be in thee sin.
23 Khi môi ngươi đã hứa cùng Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi một sự hứa nguyện lạc ý, thì khá cẩn thận làm trọn lời ra khỏi miệng mình đó.
That which goeth forth out of thy lips, thou must observe and do, —according as thou didst vow unto Yahweh thy God the free-will, offering of which thou didst speak with thy mouth.
24 Khi ngươi vào vườn nho của kẻ lân cận mình, thì có phép ăn nho, tùy theo miệng ăn ngon no nê, song không được bỏ trong giỏ mình.
When thou enterest into the vineyard of thy neighbour, then mayest thou eat grapes at thy pleasure to thy fill, -but into thy vessel, shalt thou put none.
25 Khi ngươi vào đồng lúa mì của kẻ lân cận mình, thì được phép lấy tay rứt gié lúa; nhưng chớ đặt lưỡi hái vào đồng lúa mì của kẻ lân cận mình.
When thou enterest the standing corn of thy neighbour, thou mayest pluck off ears with thy hand, —but a sickle, shalt thou not wield against the standing corn of thy neighbour.
