II Sử Ký 22
1 Dân cư thành Giê-ru-sa-lem lập A-cha-xia, con trai út của Giô-ram, làm vua thay vì người; vì đạo quân đến với dân A rạp xông vào trại quân, đã giết các con trai lớn hơn người. Ấy vậy, A-cha-xia, con trai Giô-ram, vua Giu-đa, lên ngôi làm vua.
Forsothe the dwelleris of Jerusalem ordeyneden Ocozie, `his leeste sone, kyng for hym; for theues of Arabeis, that felden in to the castels, hadden slayn alle the grettere `in birthe, that weren bifor hym. And Ocozie, the sone of Joram, kyng of Juda, regnede.
2 A-cha-xia được hai mươi hai tuổi khi người tức vị; người cai trị một năm tại Giê-ru-sa-lem; tên mẹ người là A-tha-li, con gái của Ôm-ri.
Ocozie was of two and fourti yeer, whanne he bigan to regne, and he regnede o yeer in Jerusalem; the name of his modir was Athalia, the douyter of Amry.
3 Người cũng đi theo các đường lối của nhà A-háp vì mẹ người là kẻ bày mưu giục người làm điều ác.
But he entride bi the weie of the hows of Achab; for his modir compellide hym to do yuele.
4 Người làm những điều ác trước mặt Ðức Giê-hô-va như nhà A-háp đã làm; vì sau khi vua cha qua đời, nhà A-háp làm kẻ bày mưu cho người, gây cho người bị bại hoại.
Therfor he dide yuel in the siyt of the Lord, as the hows of Achab; for thei weren counselouris to hym in to his perischyng, aftir the deth of his fadir;
5 Người cũng theo mưu chước của chúng mà đi với Giô-ram, con trai A-háp, vua Y-sơ-ra-ên, đến Ra-mốt tại Ga-la-át, đặng tranh chiến cùng Ha-xa-ên, vua Sy-ri. Dân Sy-ri làm cho Giô-ram bị thương.
and he yede in the counsele of hem. And he yede with Joram, the sone of Achab, kyng of Israel, in to batel ayens Azahel, kyng of Sirye, in to Ramoth of Galaad. And men of Sirie woundiden Joram;
6 Người bèn trở về Gít-rê-ên, đặng chữa lành các dấu thương người đã bị tại Ra-ma, khi đánh giặc với Ha-xa-ên, vua Sy-ri, A-cha-xia, con trai Giô-ram, vua Giu-đa đi xuống Gít-rê-ên đặng thăm bịnh Giô-ram, con trai A-háp.
which turnede ayen for to be heelid in Jezrahel; for he hadde take many woundis in the forseid batel. Therfor Ocozie, kyng of Juda, the sone of Joram, yede doun to visite Joram, the sone of Achab, sijk in Jezrahel;
7 Việc A-cha-xia đi đến cùng Giô-ram bởi ý Ðức Chúa Trời, và gây cho người bị bại hoại; vì khi người đến tận nơi, bèn cùng Giô-ram kéo ra đánh Giê-hu, con trai Nim-si, là người Ðức Giê-hô-va đã xức dầu cho, đặng trừ diệt nhà A-háp.
for it was Goddis wille ayens Ocozie, that he cam to Joram. And whanne he was comun, he yede out with hym ayens Hieu, the sone of Namsi, whom God anoyntide, that he schulde do awey the hows of Achab.
8 Xảy đương khi Giê-hu trừ diệt nhà A-háp, lại gặp được các quan trưởng Giu-đa và các con trai của anh em A-cha-xia vẫn phục sự người, thì liền giết chúng nó đi.
Therfor whanne Hieu destriede the hows of Achab, he foond the princis of Juda, and the sones of the britheren of Ocozie, that `mynystriden to hym; and he killide hem.
9 Người cũng tìm A-cha-xia đương ẩn tại Sa-ma-ri, người ta bắt người, dẫn đến cùng Giê-hu, rồi giết người đi, đoạn họ chôn người, vì nói rằng: Hắn là con trai của Giô-sa-phát, tức người hết lòng tìm cầu Ðức Giê-hô-va. Trong nhà A-cha-xia chẳng còn ai có thể giữ quyền cai trị nước được.
And he souyte thilke Ocozie, and cauyte him hid in Samarie, and after that he was brouyt to Hieu, Hieu killide hym; and thei birieden hym, for he was the sone of Josaphat, that hadde souyt God in al his herte. And noon hope was more, that ony of the generacioun of Ocozie schulde regne.
10 Vả, khi A-tha-li, mẹ của A-cha-xia, thấy con trai mình đã chết, bèn chổi dậy diệt cả dòng giống vua Giu-đa.
For Athalia, his modir, siy, that hir sone was deed, and sche roos, and killide alle the kyngis generacioun of the hows of Joram.
11 Nhưng Giô-sa-bát, con gái của vua, bồng trộm Giô-ách, con trai của A-cha-xia, đem khỏi vòng các con trai cua mà người ta toan giết, rồi để nó và kẻ vú nó trong phòng ngủ. Như vậy, Giô-sa-bát, con gái của vua Giô-ram, vợ thầy tế lễ Giê-hô-gia-đa, giấu Giô-ách khỏi trước mắt A-tha-li, và A-tha-li không giết nó được; Giô-sa-bát là em gái của A-cha-xia.
Forsothe Josabeth, the douyter of the kyng, took Joas, the sone of Ocozie, and stal hym fro the myddis of the sones of the kyng, whanne thei weren slayn; and sche hidde hym with his nurse in the closet of beddis. Forsothe Josabeth, that `hadde hid hym, was the douytir of kyng Joram, and wijf of Joiada, the bischop, and the sister of Ocozie; and therfor Athalia killide not hir.
12 Giô-ách bị ẩn giấu với họ trong sáu năm tại đền thờ của Ðức Chúa Trời; còn A-tha-li cai trị trên xứ.
Therfor he was hid with hem in the hows of God sixe yeer, in whiche Athalia regnede on the lond.
