1 Cách lâu ngày, trong năm thứ ba có lời của Ðức Giê-hô-va phán dạy Ê-li rằng: Hãy đi, ra mắt A-háp: ta sẽ khiến mưa sa xuống đất.

2 Vậy, Ê-li đi ra mắt A-háp. Vả, tại Sa-ma-ri có cơn đói kém quá đỗi.
and to go: went Elijah to/for to see: see to(wards) Ahab and [the] famine strong in/on/with Samaria
3 A-háp sai gọi Áp-đia, là quan gia tể mình. (Áp-đia rất kính sợ Ðức Giê-hô-va.
and to call: call to Ahab to(wards) Obadiah which upon [the] house: household and Obadiah to be afraid [obj] LORD much
4 Xảy ra khi Giê-sa-bên diệt hết các đấng tiên tri đi giấu trong hai hang đá, mỗi hang năm mươi người, dùng bánh và nước mà nuôi họ.)
and to be in/on/with to cut: eliminate Jezebel [obj] prophet LORD and to take: take Obadiah hundred prophet and to hide them fifty man in/on/with cave and to sustain them food: bread and water
5 A-háp nói với Áp-đia rằng: Hãy đi khắp xứ, xem hết thảy các suối và khe, có lẽ chúng ta sẽ tìm được cỏ, và cứu cho ngựa và la còn sống, không phải diệt hết các súc vật ta chăng?
and to say Ahab to(wards) Obadiah to go: went in/on/with land: country/planet to(wards) all spring [the] water and to(wards) all [the] torrent: valley perhaps to find grass and to live horse and mule and not to cut: lack from [the] animal
6 Vậy, hai người chia xứ đặng đi tuần. A-háp đi một mình con đường này, và Áp-đia đi một mình con đường kia.
and to divide to/for them [obj] [the] land: country/planet to/for to pass in/on/with her Ahab to go: went in/on/with way: direction one to/for alone him and Obadiah to go: went in/on/with way: direction one to/for alone him
7 Áp-đia đương đi đường, thì gặp Ê-li ra đón mình. Áp-đia nhìn biết người, sấp mình xuống đất, mà thưa rằng: Hỡi Ê-li chúa tôi! có phải ông chăng?
and to be Obadiah in/on/with way: journey and behold Elijah to/for to encounter: meet him and to recognize him and to fall: fall upon face his and to say you(m. s.) this lord my Elijah
8 Người đáp: Ừ phải ta. Ngươi hãy đi nói với chủ ngươi rằng: Ê-li ở đây.
and to say to/for him I to go: went to say to/for lord your behold Elijah
9 Áp-đia tiếp rằng: Tôi có phạm tội gì, mà ông muốn phó kẻ tôi tớ ông vào tay A-háp, hầu cho người giết tôi đi?
and to say what? to sin for you(m. s.) to give: give [obj] servant/slave your in/on/with hand: power Ahab to/for to die me
10 Tôi chỉ Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời hằng sống của ông mà thề, chẳng dân nào nước nào mà chủ tôi không sai đến tìm ông và khi người ta đáp rằng: Ê-li không có đây, thì người bắt nước bắt dân ấy thề rằng không ai gặp ông.
alive LORD God your if: surely no there nation and kingdom which not to send: depart lord my there to/for to seek you and to say nothing and to swear [obj] [the] kingdom and [obj] [the] nation for not to find you
11 Mà bây giờ, ông lại nói với tôi tớ rằng: Hãy đi nói với chủ ngươi: Ê-li ở đây.
and now you(m. s.) to say to go: went to say to/for lord your behold Elijah
12 Rồi khi tôi lìa khỏi ông, sẽ có thần của Ðức Giê-hô-va đem ông đi nơi nào tôi chẳng biết; vậy, khi tôi đi thuật lại cùng A-háp, mà người không thấy ông, ắt sẽ giết tôi đi. Vả, kẻ tôi tớ ông kính sợ Ðức Giê-hô-va từ khi thơ ấu.
and to be I to go: went from with you and spirit LORD to lift: bear you upon which not to know and to come (in): come to/for to tell to/for Ahab and not to find you and to kill me and servant/slave your afraid [obj] LORD from youth my
13 Khi Giê-sa-bên giết các tiên tri của Ðức Giê-hô-va, thì tôi có giấu một trăm tiên tri của Ðức Giê-hô-va trong hai hang đá, mỗi hang năm mươi người, dùng bánh và nước mà nuôi họ; người ta há không có thuật điều đó cho chúa tôi hay sao?
not to tell to/for lord my [obj] which to make: do in/on/with to kill Jezebel [obj] prophet LORD and to hide from prophet LORD hundred man fifty fifty man in/on/with cave and to sustain them food: bread and water
14 Và bây giờ, ông biểu tôi: Hãy đi nói với chủ ngươi rằng: Ê-li ở đây. Người ắt sẽ giết tôi đi.
and now you(m. s.) to say to go: went to say to/for lord your behold Elijah and to kill me
15 Ê-li đáp rằng: Ta chỉ sanh mạng Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân, là Ðấng ta phục sự, mà thề rằng: Chính ngày nay ta sẽ ra mắt A-háp.
and to say Elijah alive LORD Hosts which to stand: stand to/for face: before his for [the] day to see: see to(wards) him
16 Vậy, Áp-đia đi đón A-háp, và thuật lại cho người. A-háp bèn đi đón Ê-li.
and to go: went Obadiah to/for to encounter: meet Ahab and to tell to/for him and to go: went Ahab to/for to encounter: meet Elijah
17 Vừa khi A-háp thấy Ê-li, thì nói rằng: Có phải ngươi, là kẻ làm rối loạn Y-sơ-ra-ên chăng?
and to be like/as to see: see Ahab [obj] Elijah and to say Ahab to(wards) him you(m. s.) this to trouble Israel
18 Ê-li đáp rằng: Chẳng phải tôi làm rối loạn Y-sơ-ra-ên đâu; bèn là vua và nhà cha vua, bởi vì vua đã bỏ điều răn của Ðức Giê-hô-va, và đã tin theo thần Ba-anh.
and to say not to trouble [obj] Israel that if: except if: except you(m. s.) and house: household father your in/on/with to leave: forsake you [obj] commandment LORD and to go: follow after [the] Baal
19 Vậy bây giờ vua hãy sai người đi nhóm cả Y-sơ-ra-ên, với bốn trăm năm mươi tiên tri của Ba-anh, và bốn trăm tiên tri của Át-tạt-tê, ăn tại bàn Giê-sa-bên, khiến họ đến cùng tôi trên núi Cạt-mên.
and now to send: depart to gather to(wards) me [obj] all Israel to(wards) mountain: mount [the] (Mount) Carmel and [obj] prophet [the] Baal four hundred and fifty and prophet [the] Asherah four hundred to eat table Jezebel
20 Vậy, A-háp sai người đi nhóm cả dân Y-sơ-ra-ên và những tiên tri đến núi Cạt-mên.
and to send: depart Ahab in/on/with all son: descendant/people Israel and to gather [obj] [the] prophet to(wards) mountain: mount [the] (Mount) Carmel
21 Ðoạn Ê-li đến trước mặt dân sự mà nói rằng: Các ngươi đi giẹo hai bên cho đến chừng nào? Nếu Giê-hô-va là Ðức Chúa Trời, khá theo Ngài; nếu Ba-anh là Ðức Chúa Trời, hãy theo hắn. Song dân sự không đáp một lời.
and to approach: approach Elijah to(wards) all [the] people and to say till how you(m. p.) to limp upon two [the] division if LORD [the] God to go: follow after him and if [the] Baal to go: follow after him and not to answer [the] people [obj] him word
22 Bấy giờ, Ê-li nói với dân sự rằng: Trong vòng những tiên tri của Ðức Giê-hô-va, chỉ một mình ta còn lại; còn các tiên tri Ba-anh số là bốn trăm năm mươi người.
and to say Elijah to(wards) [the] people I to remain prophet to/for LORD to/for alone me and prophet [the] Baal four hundred and fifty man
23 Vậy, hãy cho chúng ta hai con bò đực; họ phải chọn một con cho mình, sả ra từ miếng, sắp để trên củi, nhưng chớ châm lửa. Còn ta, ta sẽ làm con bò kia, để nó trên củi, nhưng không châm lửa.
and to give: give to/for us two bullock and to choose to/for them [the] bullock [the] one and to cut him and to set: put upon [the] tree: wood and fire not to set: put and I to make [obj] [the] bullock [the] one and to give: put upon [the] tree: wood and fire not to set: put
24 Ðoạn, hãy kêu cầu danh của thần các ngươi, còn ta, ta sẽ kêu cầu danh của Ðức Giê-hô-va. Thần đáp lời bằng lửa, ấy quả là Ðức Chúa Trời. Cả dân sự đều đáp rằng: Lời nói rất phải.
and to call: call to in/on/with name God your and I to call: call to in/on/with name LORD and to be [the] God which to answer in/on/with fire he/she/it [the] God and to answer all [the] people and to say pleasant [the] word: speaking
25 Ê-li bèn nói với những tiên tri Ba-anh rằng: hãy chọn một con bò đực, làm nó trước đi, vì các ngươi đông; rồi hãy cầu khẩn danh của thần các ngươi; nhưng chớ châm lửa.
and to say Elijah to/for prophet [the] Baal to choose to/for you [the] bullock [the] one and to make first for you(m. p.) [the] many and to call: call to in/on/with name God your and fire not to set: put
26 Vậy, chúng bắt con bò mà người ta đã ban cho mà làm nó; rồi từ sớm mai đến trưa, chúng cầu khẩn danh của Ba-anh, và rằng: Hỡi Ba-anh! xin đáp lời chúng tôi. Nhưng chẳng có tiếng gì, cũng chẳng ai đáp lời; chúng đều nhảy chung quanh bàn thờ mình đã dựng lên.
and to take: take [obj] [the] bullock which to give: give to/for them and to make and to call: call to in/on/with name [the] Baal from [the] morning and till [the] midday to/for to say [the] Baal to answer us and nothing voice and nothing to answer and to limp upon [the] altar which to make
27 Khi đã đến trưa, Ê-li nhạo chúng mà rằng: Khá la lớn lên đi, vì người là thần; hoặc người đương suy gẫm, hoặc ở đâu xa, hoặc đương đi đường; hay là có lẽ người ngủ, và sẽ thức dậy.
and to be in/on/with midday and to mock in/on/with them Elijah and to say to call: call out in/on/with voice great: large for God he/she/it for complaint and for pursuing to/for him and for way: journey to/for him perhaps sleeping he/she/it and to awake
28 Vậy, chúng kêu lớn tiếng; và theo thói lệ họ, lấy gươm giáo gạch vào mình cho đến chừng máu chảy ra.
and to call: call out in/on/with voice great: large and to cut like/as justice: custom their in/on/with sword and in/on/with spear till to pour: pour blood upon them
29 Khi quá trưa rồi, họ cứ nói tiên tri như vậy cho đến giờ dâng của lễ chay ban chiều; nhưng vẫn không có tiếng gì, chẳng ai đáp lời, cũng không cố ý đến.
and to be like/as to pass [the] midday and to prophesy till to/for to ascend: offer up [the] offering and nothing voice and nothing to answer and nothing attentiveness
30 Bấy giờ, Ê-li nói với cả dân sự rằng: Hãy đến gần ta. Dân sự bèn đến gần người. Ðoạn, Ê-li sửa lại cái bàn thờ của Ðức Giê-hô-va bị phá hủy.
and to say Elijah to/for all [the] people to approach: approach to(wards) me and to approach: approach all [the] people to(wards) him and to heal [obj] altar LORD [the] to overthrow
31 Người lấy mười hai chi phái của các con trai Gia-cốp, là người mà lời của Ðức Giê-hô-va đã phán cho rằng: Y-sơ-ra-ên sẽ là tên ngươi.
and to take: take Elijah two ten stone like/as number tribe son: descendant/people Jacob which to be word LORD to(wards) him to/for to say Israel to be name your
32 Người dùng mười hai hòn đá ấy mà dựng lên một cái bàn thờ nhơn danh Ðức Giê-hô-va; chung quanh bàn thờ, người đào một cái mương đựng được hai đấu hột giống;
and to build [obj] [the] stone altar in/on/with name LORD and to make conduit like/as house: container seah seed around to/for altar
33 rồi chất củi, sả bò tơ ra từ miếng, và sắp nó lên trên củi. Kế người nói:
and to arrange [obj] [the] tree: wood and to cut [obj] [the] bullock and to set: put upon [the] tree: wood and to say to fill four jar water and to pour: pour upon [the] burnt offering and upon [the] tree: wood
34 Hãy múc đầy bốn bình nước, và đem đổ trên của lễ thiêu và củi. Người lại nói: Hãy làm lần thứ nhì; thì người ta làm lần thứ nhì. Người tiếp: Hãy làm lần thứ ba, và họ làm lần thứ ba,
and to say to repeat and to repeat and to say to do three and to do three
35 cho đến đỗi nước chảy chung quanh bàn thờ, và đầy cái mương nữa.
and to go: walk [the] water around to/for altar and also [obj] [the] conduit to fill water
36 Ðến giờ dâng của lễ chay ban chiều, tiên tri đến gần và nguyện rằng: Lạy Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời của Áp-ra-ham, của Y-sác, và của Y-sơ-ra-ên, ngày nay xin hãy tỏ cho người ta biết rằng Ngài là Ðức Chúa Trời trong Y-sơ-ra-ên, rằng tôi là kẻ tôi tớ Ngài, và tôi vâng lời Ngài mà làm mọi sự này.
and to be in/on/with to ascend: offer up [the] offering and to approach: approach Elijah [the] prophet and to say LORD God Abraham Isaac and Israel [the] day: today to know for you(m. s.) God in/on/with Israel and I servant/slave your (and in/on/with word your *Q(K)*) to make: do [obj] all [the] word [the] these
37 Ðức Giê-hô-va ôi! Xin nhậm lời tôi, xin đáp lời tôi, hầu cho dân sự này nhìn biết rằng Giê-hô-va là Ðức Chúa Trời, và Ngài khiến cho lòng họ trở lại.
to answer me LORD to answer me and to know [the] people [the] this for you(m. s.) LORD [the] God and you(m. s.) to turn: turn [obj] heart their backwards
38 Lửa của Ðức Giê-hô-va bèn giáng xuống, thiêu đốt của lễ thiêu, củi, đá, bụi, và rút nước trong mương.
and to fall: fall fire LORD and to eat [obj] [the] burnt offering and [obj] [the] tree: wood and [obj] [the] stone and [obj] [the] dust and [obj] [the] water which in/on/with conduit to lick
39 Thấy vậy, cả dân sự sấp mình xuống đất, và la rằng: Giê-hô-va là Ðức Chúa Trời! Giê-hô-va là Ðức Chúa Trời!
and to see: see all [the] people and to fall: fall upon face their and to say LORD he/she/it [the] God LORD he/she/it [the] God
40 Ê-li nói với chúng rằng: Hãy bắt các tiên tri của Ba-anh, chớ cho thoát một người nào. Chúng bèn bắt họ, Ê-li đem họ xuống dưới khe Ki-sôn, và giết họ tại đó.
and to say Elijah to/for them to capture [obj] prophet [the] Baal man: anyone not to escape from them and to capture them and to go down them Elijah to(wards) torrent: valley Kishon and to slaughter them there
41 Ðoạn, Ê-li nói cùng A-háp rằng: Hãy đi lên, ăn và uống, vì tôi đã nghe tiếng mưa lớn.
and to say Elijah to/for Ahab to ascend: rise to eat and to drink for voice: sound crowd [the] rain
42 Vậy, A-háp trở lên đặng ăn uống. Nhưng Ê-li leo lên chót núi Cạt-mên, cúi xuống đất và úp mặt mình giữa hai đầu gối.
and to ascend: rise Ahab to/for to eat and to/for to drink and Elijah to ascend: rise to(wards) head: top [the] (Mount) Carmel and to bend (down) land: soil [to] and to set: put face his between (knee his *Q(K)*)
43 Ðoạn, người nói với kẻ tôi tớ mình rằng: Xin hãy đi lên, ngó về phía biển. Kẻ tôi tớ đi lên xem, nhưng nói rằng: Không có chi hết. Ê-li lại nói: Hãy trở lên bảy lần.
and to say to(wards) youth his to ascend: rise please to look way: direction sea and to ascend: rise and to look and to say nothing anything and to say to return: again seven beat
44 Lần thứ bảy, kẻ tôi tớ đáp rằng: Tôi thấy ở phía biển lên một cụm mây nhỏ như lòng bàn tay, Ê-li bèn tiếp: Hãy đi nói với A-háp rằng: Hãy thắng xe và đi xuống, kẻo mưa cầm vua lại chăng.
and to be in/on/with seventh and to say behold cloud small like/as palm man to ascend: rise from sea and to say to ascend: rise to say to(wards) Ahab to bind and to go down and not to restrain you [the] rain
45 Trong một lúc, trời bị mây che đen, gió nổi dậy, và có cơn mưa rất lớn. A-háp bèn lên xe mình, đi đến Gít-rê-ên.
and to be till thus and till thus and [the] heaven be dark cloud and spirit: breath and to be rain great: large and to ride Ahab and to go: went Jezreel [to]
46 Tay Ðức Giê-hô-va giáng trên Ê-li; người thắt lưng, chạy trước A-háp cho đến khi tới Gít-rê-ên.
and hand: power LORD to be to(wards) Elijah and to gird loin his and to run: run to/for face: before Ahab till to come (in): towards you Jezreel [to]
