Xê-ca-ri-a 9
1 Chúa Hằng Hữu nguyền rủa đất Ha-đơ-rắc và Đa-mách, vì Chúa Hằng Hữu quan sát toàn thể nhân loại, cũng như Ngài quan sát các đại tộc Ít-ra-ên vậy.
The prophecy of the word of Jehovah is against the land of Hadrach, And upon Damascus shall it come down, For the eye of Jehovah is over man, And over all the tribes of Israel,
2 Lời nguyền rủa cho thành Ha-mát, gần Đa-mách, cùng thành Ty-rơ và Si-đôn, dù người thành ấy rất khôn ngoan.
And against Hamath, which bordereth thereon, And Tyre and Sidon, though she be very wise.
3 Tuy Ty-rơ được phòng thủ kiên cố, có vàng bạc nhiều như bụi đất ngoài đường.
Though Tyre hath built her a fortress, And hath heaped up silver as dust, And fine gold as the mire of the streets,
4 Nhưng Chúa sẽ tước đoạt hết tài sản của Ty-rơ, ném của cải nó xuống biển, và nó sẽ bị thiêu hủy.
Behold, the Lord will cast her out, And will smite her power into the sea, And she shall be devoured by fire.
5 Thành Ách-ca-lôn sẽ thấy Ty-rơ sụp đổ và chúng ngập đầy nỗi run sợ, Ga-xa sẽ buồn khổ, Éc-rôn cũng vậy, vì hy vọng đã tiêu tan. Vua Ga-xa sẽ bị giết, Ách-ca-lôn sẽ hoang vắng, không người ở.
Askelon shall see it and fear, Gaza also shall see and tremble, And Ekron, because her expectation shall be put to shame. The king shall perish from Gaza, And Askelon shall not be inhabited.
6 Người ngoại quốc sẽ chiếm cứ Ách-đốt. Ta sẽ diệt mối kiêu hãnh của người Phi-li-tin.
And strangers shall dwell in Ashdod, And I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.
7 Ta sẽ lấy máu ra khỏi miệng chúng và vật kinh tởm khỏi răng chúng. Những người Phi-li-tin sống sót sẽ thuộc về Đức Chúa Trời chúng ta, và trở nên như trưởng tộc của Giu-đa. Người Éc-rôn sẽ như người Giê-bu vậy.
And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, And his abominations from between his teeth; And even he shall be left for our God, And he shall be as a governor in Judah, And Ekron as a Jebusite.
8 Ta sẽ canh gác Đền Thờ Ta, không cho địch quân xâm nhập. Những kẻ áp bức sẽ không còn giày xéo dân Ta, vì Ta để ý canh chừng.
And I will encamp about my house, as a garrison, Against him that passeth by and him that returneth, And no oppressor shall pass through them any more; For now have I seen with my own eyes.
9 Hãy mừng lên, con gái Si-ôn ơi! Reo lên, con gái Giê-ru-sa-lem ơi! Kìa, Vua ngươi đến. Chúa là Đấng công bằng, cứu giúp, Ngài khiêm tốn và cưỡi một con lừa— là một lừa con.
Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion, Shout, daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, thy king cometh to thee; He is just and victorious, Mild, and riding upon an ass, Even upon a colt, the foal of an ass.
10 Ta sẽ hủy xe trận của Ép-ra-im và ngựa chiến của Giê-ru-sa-lem. Ta sẽ bẻ gãy cung của chúng trong chiến trận, và Ngài sẽ ban hòa bình cho các nước. Ngài sẽ cai trị suốt từ đại dương này đến đại dương kia, từ Sông Ơ-phơ-rát cho đến tận cùng đất.
And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, And the horse from Jerusalem; And the battle-bow shall be cut off. And he shall speak peace to the nations; And his dominion shall be from sea to sea, And from the river to the ends of the earth.
11 Vì máu của giao ước Ta đã kết với các ngươi, Ta sẽ giải cứu những người bị giam trong hố không nước.
As for thee also, on account of thy blood-sealed covenant, I will set thy prisoners free from the pit wherein is no water.
12 Các tù nhân kia, chạy về đồn đi vì còn hy vọng! Như Ta công bố hôm nay, các ngươi sẽ được gấp đôi.
Return ye to the strong-hold, ye prisoners of hope! Even this day do I declare it: I will restore double unto thee.
13 Giu-đa như cung, Ép-ra-im như tên của Ta, con trai Si-ôn như kiếm Ta, và Ta sử dụng ngươi như gươm trong tay một dũng sĩ. Ta sẽ vung gươm chống lại Hy Lạp.
For I will bend Judah as a bow for myself; As a bow will I extend Ephraim to the utmost; And I will raise up thy sons, O Zion, Against thy sons, O Greece, And make thee as the sword of a mighty man.
14 Chúa Hằng Hữu đi trước dân Ngài; tên Ngài bay như chớp! Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao thổi kèn thúc quân, Ngài tiến tới như gió lốc phương nam.
And Jehovah shall be seen over them. And his arrow shall go forth as lightning; And the Lord Jehovah shall blow the trumpet, And shall go forth with whirlwinds of the South.
15 Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân bảo vệ dân Ngài, họ sẽ tiêu hủy, giẫm nát quân địch. Họ sẽ uống máu địch như uống rượu. Họ được đầy tràn như bát nước, như góc bàn thờ đẫm nước.
Jehovah of hosts shall defend them; And they shall devour, and trample under feet the sling-stones, And they shall drink, and shout as through wine, And they shall be filled like a bowl, like the corners of the altar.
16 Ngày ấy, Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của họ, sẽ cứu giúp, vì họ là bầy chiên được Ngài chăn giữ. Trên đất Ngài, họ sẽ rực rỡ như ngọc trên vương miện.
And Jehovah, their God, shall save them in that day; He will save his people as a flock; For they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifting themselves up in his land.
17 Ngày ấy mọi sự sẽ tốt lành đẹp đẽ biết bao! Thóc lúa, rượu nho nuôi dưỡng thanh niên nam nữ nên người tuấn tú.
How great shall be their prosperity, and how great their beauty! Corn shall make the young men thrive, and new wire the maidens.
