Xê-ca-ri-a 8
1 Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân lại truyền cho tôi một sứ điệp khác:
And the word of Yahweh of hosts came, saying:
2 “Đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân phán: Ta nổi giận vì những việc xảy ra cho Núi Si-ôn, Ta nổi giận vì Giê-ru-sa-lem!
Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, I am jealous for Zion with a great jealousy, —Yea, with great wrath, am I jealous for her.
3 Chúa Hằng Hữu phán: Ta sẽ trở lại Núi Si-ôn, và Ta sẽ ngự trị giữa Giê-ru-sa-lem. Rồi Giê-ru-sa-lem sẽ được gọi là Thành Chân Lý; núi của Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân sẽ được gọi là Núi Thánh.
Thus, saith Yahweh, I have returned unto Zion, and will make my habitation in the midst of Jerusalem, —and Jerusalem, shall be called, The city of fidelity, and the mountain of Yahweh of hosts, The mountain of holiness.
4 Đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân phán: Giê-ru-sa-lem sẽ lại thấy cảnh ông già bà cả chống gậy đi ngoài đường phố,
Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Yet shall old men and old women sit in the broadways of Jerusalem, —Yea, each one with his staff in his hand for multitude of days:
5 trẻ con chơi đùa khắp các ngả đường.
And, the broadways of the city, shall be full of boys and girls, —playing in the broadways thereof.
6 Đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân phán: Việc này có thể là một điều kỳ lạ đối với các ngươi, là những người còn sót lại; nhưng đối với Ta, đâu có lạ gì? Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân phán vậy.
Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Because it will be marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this people, in those days, In mine own eyes also, shall it be marvellous? Demandeth Yahweh of hosts.
7 Đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân phán: Ta sẽ giải cứu dân Ta ở phương đông và phương tây,
Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Behold me! saving my people out of the land of the dawn, —and out of the land of the going in of the sun;
8 đem họ về sống tại Giê-ru-sa-lem. Họ sẽ là dân Ta, và Ta là Đức Chúa Trời họ trong chân lý, công bằng.
And I will bring them in, and they shall have their habitation in the midst of Jerusalem, —and shall become my people, and, I, will become their God, In faithfulness and in righteousness.
9 Đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân phán: Trong những ngày qua, các ngươi đã nghe các tiên tri nói về ngày đặt nền Đền Thờ. Bây giờ là lúc các ngươi bắt tay vào việc xây cất Đền Thờ của Chúa Hằng Hữu.
Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Let your hands be strong, ye who are hearing, in these days, these words, —from the mouth of the prophets who, on the day the house of Yahweh of hosts, was founded, [foretold] that, the temple, should be built: —
10 Vì ngày trước, người cũng như thú vật không được trả tiền công, sự đi lại không an ninh, người láng giềng là kẻ thù.
That, before those days, hire for man, could not be obtained, and, hire for beast, was there none, —and, neither to him who went out nor to him who came in, was there success by reason of the danger, Yea I let all men loose, each one against his neighbour.
11 Nhưng ngày nay, đối với dân còn sót lại, Ta sẽ không xử họ như xưa nữa, Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân phán vậy.
But, now, not as in the former days, am I to this remnant of the people, —Declareth Yahweh of hosts;
12 Vì Ta sẽ gieo rắc hòa bình giữa ngươi. Những người còn sót sẽ được thịnh vượng. Nho sai trái, đất phì nhiêu vì đẫm đầy sương móc.
For, the seed, shall be secure—the vine, shall yield her fruit, and the land, yield her increase, and the heavens, yield their dew, —and I will cause this remnant of the people to inherit all these things.
13 Nhà Giu-đa và nhà Ít-ra-ên ơi, dân các nước khác từng dùng tên các ngươi mỗi khi nguyền rủa; nhưng từ nay, tên các ngươi sẽ là một lời chúc phước. Đừng run sợ. Hãy mạnh mẽ và đứng lên xây dựng lại Đền Thờ!
And it shall come to pass that—Just as ye had become a curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, So, will I save you, and ye shall become a blessing, —Do not fear, let your hands, be strong.
14 Vì đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân phán: Khi cha ông các ngươi phạm tội làm Ta giận, Ta quyết định trừng phạt không thương xót, và Ta sẽ không đổi ý, Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân phán vậy.
For, thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Just as I planned to bring calamity upon you, when your fathers provoked me, saith Yahweh of hosts, —and I relented not,
15 Nhưng nay Ta quyết định ban phước lành cho Giê-ru-sa-lem và nhà Giu-đa. Đừng sợ!
So, have I again planned, in these days, to do good unto Jerusalem, and unto the house of Judah, —Do not fear!
16 Đây là những điều các ngươi phải làm: Nói thật, xét xử công minh, và sống hòa bình.
These, are the things which ye shall do: Speak ye the truth, every man with his neighbour, truth and the sentence of peace, pronounce ye in your gates;
17 Đừng mưu hại người khác và đừng thề, là những điều Ta ghét, Chúa Hằng Hữu phán vậy.”
And let, no man, devise, the injury of his neighbour, in your heart, and the oath of falsehood, do not love, —for, all these, are things which I hate, declareth Yahweh.
18 Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân còn truyền cho tôi sứ điệp này:
And the word of Yahweh of hosts came unto me, saying:
19 “Đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân phán: Cuộc kiêng ăn tháng tư, tháng năm, tháng bảy, và tháng mười sẽ được đổi thành những ngày lễ vui mừng, những mùa hân hoan của nhà Giu-đa. Vậy, các ngươi phải yêu chuộng công lý và hòa bình.
Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts—The fast of the fourth, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the eleventh, shall become to the house of Judah a gladness and a rejoicing, and pleasant appointed meetings, —But, truth and peace, see that ye love.
20 Đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân phán: Dân các nước và các thành phố khắp thế giới sẽ đến Giê-ru-sa-lem.
Thus, saith Yahweh of hoses, —It shall yet be that there shall come in peoples, and the inhabitants of many cities;
21 Dân thành này sẽ đi đến gặp dân thành khác: ‘Hãy cùng chúng tôi đến Giê-ru-sa-lem để cầu xin Chúa Hằng Hữu ban ơn lành cho chúng ta. Hãy cùng nhau thờ phượng Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân. Chính tôi cũng đi nữa.’
And the inhabitants of one city, shall go, unto them of another, saying, Let us be going on to pacify the face of Yahweh, and to seek Yahweh of hosts, —I also, will go!
22 Dân các nước hùng mạnh sẽ đến Giê-ru-sa-lem tìm cầu ơn lành của Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân.
So shall enter many peoples, and strong nations, to seek Yahweh of hosts in Jerusalem, —and to pacify the face of Yahweh.
23 Đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân phán: Trong ngày ấy, sẽ có mười người từ những nước khác, nói những ngôn ngữ khác trên thế giới sẽ nắm lấy áo một người Do Thái. Họ sẽ nài nỉ: ‘Cho tôi đi với anh, vì tôi nghe nói rằng Đức Chúa Trời ở với anh.’”
Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, In those days, [it shall be] that ten men out of all the tongues of the nations, shall take hold, —yea take hold of the skirt of every one that is a Jew, saying—We will go with you! For we have heard [that], God, is with you.
