Xê-ca-ri-a 12
1 Đây là lời Chúa Hằng Hữu phán về Ít-ra-ên: “Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đấng giăng các tầng trời, lập nền trái đất, tạo linh hồn con người, phán.
The prophecy of the word of Jehovah concerning Israel. Thus saith Jehovah, who stretched out the heavens, And laid the foundation of the earth, And formed the spirit of man within him:
2 Ta sẽ khiến Giê-ru-sa-lem thành một chén để làm các nước chung quanh kéo đến vây Giê-ru-sa-lem và Giu-đa bị quay cuồng điên đảo.
Behold, I make Jerusalem a cup of giddiness to all the nations round about, And for Judah also shall it be In the siege against Jerusalem.
3 Ngày ấy, Ta sẽ làm cho Giê-ru-sa-lem thành một tảng đá, một gánh nặng nề cho các dân tộc. Các nước khắp thế giới cố gắng di chuyển tảng đá, nhưng họ phải mang thương tích nặng nề.
And in that day will I make Jerusalem A burdensome stone for all nations; All that lift it up shall tear themselves, And all the nations of the earth shall gather themselves together against it.
4 Ngày ấy, Ta sẽ làm cho ngựa hoảng sợ, người cưỡi điên cuồng. Ta sẽ chăm sóc nhà Giu-đa, và làm mù mắt ngựa quân thù.
In that day, saith Jehovah, I will smite every horse with amazement, And his rider with madness; I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, And every horse of the nations will I smite with blindness.
5 Các gia tộc nhà Giu-đa sẽ tự nhủ: ‘Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân, Đức Chúa Trời chúng ta đã cho người dân Giê-ru-sa-lem được hùng mạnh.’
Then shall the leaders of Judah say in their heart, “Strong are the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Through Jehovah of hosts, their God.”
6 Ngày ấy, Ta sẽ làm cho các gia tộc nhà Giu-đa như lửa bên đống củi, như đuốc cháy bên bó lúa; họ sẽ thiêu hủy các dân tộc chung quanh, bên phải và bên trái, trong khi Giê-ru-sa-lem vẫn an toàn.
In that day will I make the leaders of Judah Like a fire-pan among wood, And like a torch of fire in a sheaf, And they shall devour, on the right hand and on the left, All the nations round about. And Jerusalem shall again dwell in her own place at Jerusalem.
7 Chúa Hằng Hữu sẽ cứu các trại Giu-đa trước tiên, và như thế danh tiếng của dân thành Giê-ru-sa-lem và của dòng họ Đa-vít sẽ không trổi hơn danh tiếng của Giu-đa.
Jehovah will also save the tents of Judah first, That the glory of the house of David, And the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, May not magnify itself against Judah.
8 Ngày ấy, Chúa Hằng Hữu sẽ bảo vệ người Giê-ru-sa-lem, cho người yếu nhất được mạnh như Đa-vít; cho nhà Đa-vít sẽ như thần, như thiên sứ của Chúa Hằng Hữu đang đi trước họ!
In that day shall Jehovah defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem, And he that is feeble among them in that day shall be like David, And the house of David shall be as God, As the angel of Jehovah before them.
9 Và ngày ấy Ta sẽ truy tìm để tiêu diệt tất cả các nước đã tấn công Giê-ru-sa-lem.
And it shall come to pass in that day That I will seek to destroy all the nations Which come against Jerusalem.
10 Ta sẽ đổ Thần ân sủng và cầu xin trên nhà Đa-vít và trên Giê-ru-sa-lem. Họ sẽ đứng nhìn Ta, là Đấng họ đã đâm, và sẽ khóc thương như người khóc con một, khóc đắng cay như khóc con đầu lòng.
Then will I pour upon the house of David, And upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, A spirit of supplication, and of prayer; And they shall look to me whom they pierced, And they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, And shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his first-born.
11 Cuộc than khóc tại Giê-ru-sa-lem ngày ấy cũng lớn như cuộc than khóc Ha-đát Rim-môn trong thung lũng Mê-ghi-đô.
In that day the mourning shall be great in Jerusalem, As the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddo.
12 Cả nước sẽ khóc than, gia tộc nào khóc than cho gia tộc ấy, vợ chồng trong gia tộc than khóc riêng. Gia tộc nhà Đa-vít riêng, gia tộc nhà Na-than riêng;
And the land shall mourn, every family apart; The family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; The family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;
13 Gia tộc nhà Lê-vi riêng, gia tộc nhà Si-mê-i riêng.
The family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; The family of the house of Shimei apart, and their wives apart;
14 Và mọi gia tộc còn lại, từng gia tộc riêng rẽ, vợ chồng trong gia tộc than khóc riêng.”
All the families that remain, Every family apart, and their wives apart.
