Khải Huyền 9
1 Thiên sứ thứ năm thổi kèn, tôi thấy một vì sao từ trời rơi xuống đất, và được trao cho chìa khóa vực thẳm. (Abyssos g12)
And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from heaven fallen unto the earth: and there was given to him the key of the pit of the abyss. (Abyssos g12)
2 Vì sao này mở vực thẳm ra, liền có khói bốc lên như khói lò lửa lớn, mặt trời và không gian bị tối tăm vì luồng khói ấy. (Abyssos g12)
And he opened the pit of the abyss; and there went up a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. (Abyssos g12)
3 Châu chấu từ luồng khói bay ra khắp mặt đất, chúng có khả năng châm chích như bò cạp.
And out of the smoke came forth locusts upon the earth; and power was given them, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
4 Chúng được lệnh không phá hoại cỏ xanh, cây cối và mọi loài thực vật khác, nhưng chỉ nhắm vào những người không có ấn của Đức Chúa Trời trên trán.
And it was said unto them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree, but only such men as have not the seal of God on their foreheads.
5 Chúng không được phép giết ai, mà chỉ làm cho họ đau đớn trong năm tháng. Họ bị nhức nhối như khi bò cạp đốt.
And it was given them that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when it striketh a man.
6 Trong những ngày đó, người ta tìm cách chết nhưng không được, mong mỏi được chết nhưng sự chết lánh xa.
And in those days men shall seek death, and shall in no wise find it; and they shall desire to die, and death fleeth from them.
7 Hình dạng của châu chấu giống như chiến mã chuẩn bị ra trận, trên đầu như có mão miện vàng, mặt giống mặt người.
And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared for war; and upon their heads as it were crowns like unto gold, and their faces were as men’s faces.
8 Tóc dài như tóc đàn bà, răng như răng sư tử.
And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as [the teeth] of lions.
9 Giáp che ngực trông như giáp sắt, tiếng cánh bay vang ầm như đoàn xe ngựa xông ra chiến trường.
And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots, of many horses rushing to war.
10 Đuôi có nọc giống như bò cạp, trong đuôi có độc chất làm đau đớn loài người trong năm tháng.
And they have tails like unto scorpions, and stings; and in their tails is their power to hurt men five months.
11 Vua của chúng là thiên sứ của vực thẳm, có tên A-ba-đôn theo tiếng Hê-bơ-rơ và A-bô-ly-ôn theo tiếng Hy Lạp. (Abyssos g12)
They have over them as king the angel of the abyss: his name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in the Greek [tongue] he hath the name Apollyon. (Abyssos g12)
12 Khổ nạn thứ nhất đã qua, nhưng kìa, còn hai khổ nạn nữa sắp đến!
The first Woe is past: behold, there come yet two Woes hereafter.
13 Thiên sứ thứ sáu thổi kèn, tôi nghe có tiếng phát ra từ bốn chiếc sừng trên bàn thờ vàng trước mặt Đức Chúa Trời.
And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the horns of the golden altar which is before God,
14 Tiếng ấy bảo thiên sứ thứ sáu đang cầm kèn: “Hãy phóng thích bốn thiên sứ bị trói giữ tại sông lớn Ơ-phơ-rát.”
one saying to the sixth angel, which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound at the great river Euphrates.
15 Bốn thiên sứ này đã chuẩn bị sẵn, đến đúng ngày giờ năm tháng được thả ra liền đi giết hại một phần ba nhân loại.
And the four angels were loosed, which had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, that they should kill the third part of men.
16 Bốn thiên sứ chỉ huy một đạo kỵ binh 200 triệu người. Tôi nghe rõ con số đó.
And the number of the armies of the horsemen was twice ten thousand times ten thousand: I heard the number of them.
17 Trong khải tượng, tôi được nhìn thấy đạo binh này. Các kỵ binh mang giáp đỏ như lửa, xanh như da trời và vàng như lưu huỳnh. Các chiến mã có đầu như sư tử; miệng phun lửa, khói và diêm sinh.
And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates [as] of fire and of hyacinth and of brimstone: and the heads of the horses are as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths proceedeth fire and smoke and brimstone.
18 Một phần ba nhân loại bị sát hại vì ba tai họa phát xuất từ miệng ngựa, là lửa, khói, và diêm sinh.
By these three plagues was the third part of men killed, by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone, which proceeded out of their mouths.
19 Năng lực khủng khiếp của đám ngựa này phát ra từ miệng lẫn đuôi, vì đuôi chúng giống như đầu rắn, gây ra tai họa.
For the power of the horses is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails are like unto serpents, and have heads; and with them they do hurt.
20 Số người sống sót sau các tai họa này vẫn không chịu ăn năn những việc ác họ làm. Họ tiếp tục thờ lạy các quỷ cùng các thần tượng bằng vàng, bạc, đồng, đá, và gỗ—là những thần tượng không thấy, không nghe và không đi được!
And the rest of mankind, which were not killed with these plagues, repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and the idols of gold, and of silver, and of brass, and of stone, and of wood; which can neither see, nor hear, nor walk:
21 Họ cũng không chịu ăn năn các tội giết người, tà thuật, gian dâm, trộm cắp.
and they repented not of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.
