Khải Huyền 8
1 Khi Chiên Con tháo ấn thứ bảy, trên trời yên lặng chừng nửa giờ.
And when He opens the seventh seal, there came silence in Heaven about half an hour,
2 Tôi thấy bảy thiên sứ đứng trước mặt Đức Chúa Trời và được trao cho bảy chiếc kèn.
and I saw the seven messengers who have stood before God, and there were given to them seven trumpets,
3 Một thiên sứ khác tay cầm lư hương vàng, đến đứng trước bàn thờ. Và vị này nhận nhiều hương để dâng trên bàn thờ và trước ngai, với lời cầu nguyện của các thánh đồ.
and another messenger came, and he stood at the altar, having a golden censer, and there was given to him much incense, that he may give [it] to the prayers of all the holy ones on the golden altar that [is] before the throne,
4 Khói hương cùng lời cầu nguyện các thánh đồ từ tay thiên sứ bay lên trước mặt Đức Chúa Trời.
and the smoke of the incenses, with the prayers of the holy ones, went up before God out of the hand of the messenger;
5 Sau đó, thiên sứ lấy lửa trên bàn thờ bỏ đầy lư hương rồi quăng xuống đất. Liền có sấm sét vang rền, chớp nhoáng và động đất.
and the messenger took the censer, and filled it out of the fire of the altar, and cast [it] to the earth, and there came voices, and thunders, and lightnings, and an earthquake.
6 Bảy thiên sứ cầm bảy chiếc kèn sửa soạn thổi.
And the seven messengers who are having the seven trumpets prepared themselves that they may sound the trumpets;
7 Thiên sứ thứ nhất thổi kèn, liền có mưa đá và lửa pha với máu đổ xuống mặt đất. Một phần ba đất bị thiêu đốt, một phần ba cây cối bị thiêu đốt và mọi loài cỏ xanh bị thiêu đốt.
and the first messenger sounded the trumpet, and there came hail and fire, mingled with blood, and it was cast to the earth, and the third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.
8 Thiên sứ thứ hai thổi kèn, liền có vật gì giống như hòn núi lớn đang bốc cháy bị quăng xuống biển. Một phần ba biển hóa ra máu.
And the second messenger sounded the trumpet, and [something] like a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea, and the third of the sea became blood,
9 Một phần ba sinh vật trong biển bị chết, và một phần ba tàu bè bị tiêu diệt.
and the third of the creatures that [are] in the sea died, those having life, and the third of the ships were destroyed.
10 Thiên sứ thứ ba thổi kèn, một vì sao lớn bốc cháy như đuốc từ trời sa xuống một phần ba sông ngòi và suối nước.
And the third messenger sounded the trumpet, and there fell out of the sky a great star, burning as a lamp, and it fell on the third of the rivers, and on the fountains of waters,
11 Tên vì sao ấy là Ngải Cứu. Một phần ba nước hóa ra nước đắng. Nhiều người thiệt mạng khi uống phải nước đắng ấy.
and the name of the star is called Wormwood, and the third of the waters become wormwood, and many of the men died [because] of the waters, because they were made bitter.
12 Thiên sứ thứ tư thổi kèn, một phần ba mặt trời, một phần ba mặt trăng, một phần ba tinh tú bị phá hủy, trở nên tối tăm. Do đó, một phần ba ánh sáng ban ngày bị giảm đi, ban đêm cũng vậy.
And the fourth messenger sounded the trumpet, and the third of the sun was struck, and the third of the moon, and the third of the stars, that the third of them may be darkened, and that the day may not shine—the third of it, and the night in like manner.
13 Kế đến, tôi thấy một con đại bàng bay trên không trung kêu lớn: “Khốn thay, khốn thay, khốn thay cho dân cư trên đất vì tiếng kèn của ba thiên sứ sắp thổi.”
And I saw, and I heard one messenger, flying in midair, saying with a great voice, “Woe, woe, woe, to those dwelling on the earth because of the rest of the voices of the trumpet of the three messengers being about to sound trumpets.”
