Khải Huyền 12
1 Tôi chứng kiến một dấu lạ vĩ đại diễn ra trên trời. Tôi thấy một người phụ nữ mặc áo mặt trời, chân đạp mặt trăng, đầu đội vương miện kết bằng mười hai tinh tú.
And a great marvel was seen in Heaven-- a woman who was robed with the sun and had the moon under her feet, and had also a wreath of stars round her head, was with child,
2 Nàng có thai, kêu la, quặn thắt vì sắp đến giờ sinh nở.
and she was crying out in the pains and agony of childbirth.
3 Kế đến, tôi chứng kiến một dấu lạ vĩ đại khác. Tôi thấy một con rồng đỏ thật lớn xuất hiện, nó có bảy đầu, mười sừng, mỗi đầu đội một vương miện.
And another marvel was seen in Heaven--a great fiery-red Dragon, with seven heads and ten horns; and on his heads were seven kingly crowns.
4 Đuôi rồng kéo theo một phần ba tinh tú trên trời quăng xuống đất. Rồng đứng trước mặt người phụ nữ sắp sinh nở, chực nuốt đứa bé khi vừa ra đời.
His tail was drawing after it a third part of the stars of Heaven, and it dashed them to the ground. And in front of the woman who was about to become a mother, the Dragon was standing in order to devour the child as soon as it was born.
5 Nàng sinh một con trai. Con trai ấy sẽ dùng cây trượng sắt cai trị mọi dân tộc, và sẽ được đưa lên ngai Đức Chúa Trời.
She gave birth to a son--a male child, destined before long to rule all nations with an iron scepter. But her child was caught up to God and His throne,
6 Còn người đàn bà chạy trốn vào hoang mạc, nơi Đức Chúa Trời đã chuẩn bị cho nàng. Nàng được nuôi dưỡng 1.260 ngày tại đây.
and the woman fled into the Desert, there to be cared for, for 1,260 days, in a place which God had prepared for her.
7 Sau đó, một cuộc chiến tranh bùng nổ trên trời. Mi-ca-ên và các thiên sứ dưới quyền giao chiến với con rồng và các tướng lãnh của nó.
And war broke out in Heaven, Michael and his angels engaging in battle with the Dragon.
8 Rồng bị đánh bại, không còn được ở trên trời nữa.
The Dragon fought and so did his angels; but they were defeated, and there was no longer any room found for them in Heaven.
9 Con rồng lớn—là con rắn ngày xưa, gọi là quỷ vương hay Sa-tan, là kẻ lừa dối cả thế giới—nó cùng các thiên sứ của nó bị quăng xuống đất.
The great Dragon, the ancient serpent, he who is called 'the Devil' and 'the Adversary' and leads the whole earth astray, was hurled down: he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him.
10 Tôi nghe có tiếng vang dội từ trời: “Giờ đây, sự cứu rỗi được thể hiện. Đức Chúa Trời đã dùng quyền lực cai trị Vương Quốc Ngài, Chúa Cứu Thế đã nắm giữ uy quyền. Vì kẻ buộc tội anh chị em chúng ta, kẻ ngày đêm tố cáo chúng ta trước mặt Đức Chúa Trời, đã bị quăng xuống đất rồi.
Then I heard a loud voice speaking in Heaven. It said, "The salvation and the power and the Kingdom of our God have now come, and the sovereignty of His Christ; for the accuser of our brethren has been hurled down--he who, day after day and night after night, was wont to accuse them in the presence of God.
11 Họ đã thắng nó nhờ máu Chiên Con và nhờ lời chứng của mình. Họ đã hy sinh tính mạng, không luyến tiếc.
But they have gained the victory over him because of the blood of the Lamb and of the testimony which they have borne, and because they held their lives cheap and did not shrink even from death.
12 Vậy, các tầng trời, hãy vui mừng! Và những ai sống trên trời, hãy reo vui! Nhưng khốn cho đất và biển! Quỷ vương đã xuống đó, giận dữ vô cùng vì biết thì giờ nó chẳng còn bao lâu.”
For this reason be glad, O Heaven, and you who live in Heaven! Alas for the earth and the sea! For the Devil has come down to you; full of fierce anger, because he knows that his appointed time is short."
13 Khi rồng thấy mình bị quăng xuống đất, liền đuổi bắt người phụ nữ đã sinh con trai.
And when the Dragon saw that he was hurled down to the earth, he went in pursuit of the woman who had given birth to the male child.
14 Nhưng người phụ nữ được ban cho hai cánh chim đại bàng thật lớn để bay đến chỗ đã dự bị cho nàng trong hoang mạc và lánh nạn con rồng. Tại đó nàng được nuôi dưỡng trong ba năm rưỡi.
Then, the two wings of a great eagle were given to the woman to enable her to fly away into the Desert to the place assigned her, there to be cared for, for a period of time, two periods of time, and half a period of time, beyond the reach of the serpent.
15 Con rồng phun nước ra như dòng sông đuổi theo người phụ nữ để cuốn nàng trôi đi.
And the serpent poured water from his mouth--a very river it seemed--after the woman, in the hope that she would be carried away by its flood.
16 Nhưng đất há miệng nuốt lấy dòng sông mà con rồng đã phun ra từ miệng nó để tiếp cứu nàng.
But the earth came to the woman's help: it opened its mouth and drank up the river which the Dragon had poured from his mouth.
17 Rồng tức giận người phụ nữ, liền bỏ đi giao chiến cùng những con cái khác của nàng, là những người vâng giữ điều răn Đức Chúa Trời và làm chứng về Chúa Giê-xu.
This made the Dragon furiously angry with the woman, and he went elsewhere to make war upon her other children--those who keep God's commandments and hold fast to the testimony of Jesus.
