Khải Huyền 11
1 Sau đó tôi nhận được cây thước giống như cây gậy, với lời dặn bảo: “Hãy đứng dậy đo Đền Thờ của Đức Chúa Trời và bàn thờ cùng đếm những người thờ phượng.
Then I was given a measure like a rod, and a voice said to me — ‘Go and measure the Temple of God and the altar, and count the worshiper there.
2 Còn sân ngoài Đền Thờ thì đừng đo, vì đã giao cho các dân tộc, họ sẽ dày xéo thành thánh trong bốn mươi hai tháng.
But omit the court outside the Temple, and do not measure that, for it has been given up to the nations; and the holy City will be under their heel for forty-two months.
3 Ta sẽ trao quyền cho hai nhân chứng của Ta; họ sẽ mặc vải thô và nói tiên tri suốt 1.260 ngày.”
Then I will give permission to my Two Witnesses, and for those twelve hundred and sixty days they will continue teaching, clothed in sackcloth.’
4 Hai tiên tri là hai cây ô-liu, cũng là hai giá đèn đứng trước mặt Chúa của hoàn vũ.
These men are represented by ‘the two olive trees and the two lamps that stand before the Lord of the earth.’
5 Nếu có ai định làm hại họ, lửa từ miệng họ sẽ phun ra tiêu diệt kẻ thù. Bất cứ ai muốn hại họ đều bị giết sạch.
When any one wishes to harm them, ‘fire comes from their mouths and consumes their enemies’; and whoever wishes to harm them will, in this way, inevitably perish.
6 Họ được quyền đóng trời lại, để mưa không rơi xuống trong ba năm rưỡi, là thời gian họ nói tiên tri. Họ cũng có quyền hóa nước thành máu, và gieo tai họa trên mặt đất bao nhiêu tùy ý.
These men have the power to close the heavens, that ‘no rain may fall’ during the time that they are teaching; and they have power ‘to turn the streams into blood, and to smite the land with any Curse,’ whenever they will.
7 Khi họ đã hoàn tất lời chứng, con thú từ vực thẳm lên sẽ giao tranh với họ, chiến thắng và giết họ đi. (Abyssos g12)
As soon as they have completed their testimony, ‘the wild Beast that ascends from the bottomless pit will make war upon them and conquer’ and kill them. (Abyssos g12)
8 Thây họ sẽ phơi ngoài đường phố Giê-ru-sa-lem, còn gọi bóng là “Sô-đôm” hay “Ai Cập,” cũng là nơi Chúa của họ chịu đóng đinh trên cây thập tự.
Their dead bodies will lie in the streets of the great City, which is mystically spoken of as ‘Sodom’ and ‘Egypt,’ where their Master was crucified.
9 Người thuộc mọi dân tộc, dòng giống, ngôn ngữ, và quốc gia sẽ kéo đến xem thi thể của họ trong ba ngày rưỡi, chẳng ai được phép chôn cất.
Men of all peoples, and tribes, and languages, and nations look at their dead bodies for three days and a half, and do not allow them to be laid in a grave.
10 Mọi người trên thế giới sẽ mừng rỡ vì hai người đã bị sát hại. Người ta ăn mừng, tặng quà cho nhau, vì hai tiên tri ấy đã khuấy động lương tâm mọi người.
Those who live on the earth rejoice over them and are merry, and they will send presents to one another, because these two Prophets brought torments upon those who live on the earth.
11 Sau ba ngày rưỡi, sinh khí từ Đức Chúa Trời nhập vào hai người, họ vùng đứng dậy. Mọi người đến xem đều quá khiếp sợ.
After three days and a half ‘the life-giving breath of God entered these men, and they stood up upon their feet,’ and a great terror took possession of those who were watching them.
12 Hai tiên tri nghe tiếng gọi lớn từ trời: “Lên đây!” Họ cưỡi mây lên trời trước mắt kẻ thù.
The two men heard a loud voice from Heaven which said to them — ‘Come up here,’ and they went up to Heaven in the cloud, while their enemies watched them.
13 Ngay giờ đó, một trận động đất dữ dội tiêu diệt một phần mười thành phố, làm 7.000 người thiệt mạng. Những người sống sót đều kinh hoàng và tôn vinh Đức Chúa Trời trên trời.
At that very time a great earthquake occurred. A tenth part of the city fell, and seven thousand people perished in the earthquake. Those who escaped were much terrified, and praised the God of Heaven.
14 Khổ nạn thứ hai đã qua, nhưng kìa, khổ nạn thứ ba sắp đến.
The second Woe has passed; and there is a third Woe soon to follow!
15 Thiên sứ thứ bảy thổi kèn, liền có tiếng nói vang dội từ trời: “Cả thế giới từ nay thuộc Vương Quốc của Chúa chúng ta và Đấng Cứu Thế của Ngài, Ngài sẽ cai trị mãi mãi.” (aiōn g165)
Then the seventh angel blew; and loud voices were heard in Heaven saying — ‘The Kingdom of the World has become the Kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever.’ (aiōn g165)
16 Hai mươi bốn trưởng lão ngồi trên ngai trước mặt Đức Chúa Trời, quỳ xuống thờ lạy Ngài.
At this the twenty-four Councillors, who were seated on their thrones before God, prostrated themselves on their faces and worshiped Him,
17 Và họ thưa: “Chúng con xin dâng lời cảm tạ Ngài, lạy Chúa là Đức Chúa Trời, Đấng Toàn Năng, Đấng hiện có, đã có, và còn đời đời, vì Ngài đã sử dụng quyền năng lớn lao và đã bắt đầu cai trị.
saying — ‘We thank thee, O Lord, our God, the Almighty, who art and who wast, that thou hast assumed thy great power and reigned.
18 Các dân tộc đều nổi giận, nhưng cơn đoán phạt của Chúa đã đến. Đây là lúc Chúa xét xử người chết và tưởng thưởng cho đầy tớ Ngài, là các tiên tri và thánh đồ, cùng mọi người kính sợ Danh Chúa, từ nhỏ đến lớn. Cũng là lúc Chúa hủy diệt những ai đã phá hoại thế giới.”
The nations were enraged, and thy Wrath fell upon them; the time came for the dead to be judged, and for thee to give the reward to thy servants the Prophets, and to the People of Christ, and to those who reverence thy Name — the high and the low alike — and to destroy those who are destroying the earth.’
19 Bấy giờ, Đền Thờ Đức Chúa Trời trên trời mở cửa, để lộ hòm giao ước bên trong Đền Thờ. Lại có chớp nhoáng, sấm sét vang rền, động đất và mưa đá dữ dội.
Then the Temple of God in Heaven was opened, and the Ark containing his Covenant was seen in his Temple; and there followed ‘flashes of lightning, cries, peals of thunder,’ an earthquake, and ‘a great storm of hail.’
