Thánh Thi 75
1 (Thơ của A-sáp, soạn cho nhạc trưởng, theo điệu: “Xin đừng hủy diệt”) Chúng con cảm tạ Chúa, Đức Chúa Trời ôi! Chúng con cảm tạ, vì Danh Chúa ở gần. Mọi người thuật lại các công trình kỳ diệu của Chúa.
We give thanks to you; our God, we thank you. You are close to us, and we proclaim to others the wonderful things that you have done [for us].
2 Đức Chúa Trời phán: “Ta chọn thời gian đã định, Ta sẽ xét xử nghịch lại người ác.
[You have said], “I have appointed a time when I will judge people, and I will judge [everyone] fairly.
3 Khi địa cầu và nhân loại rúng động, Ta chính là Đấng nắm vững các cột chống nó.
When the earth shakes and all the creatures on the earth tremble, I am the one who will (keep its foundations steady/prevent it from being destroyed).
4 Ta cảnh báo người kiêu ngạo: ‘Đừng khoe khoang nữa!’ Và bảo người ác: ‘Đừng giương sừng lên cao!
I say to people who (boast/talk proudly about themselves), ‘Stop bragging!’ and I say to wicked people, ‘Do not proudly [do things to] show how great you are [IDM]!
5 Đừng dùng sừng chống lại các tầng trời, hay ra sức cãi bướng.’”
Do not be arrogant, and do not speak so boastfully!’”
6 Vì không một ai trên đất—từ đông hay tây hay ngay cả từ nơi hoang mạc— có thể nâng sừng lên cao.
The one who judges people does not come from the east or from the west, and he does not come from the desert.
7 Chỉ có Đức Chúa Trời, Đấng phán xét, quyết định hạ người này xuống và nâng người khác lên.
God is the one who judges people; he says that some have sinned and must be punished, and that others have not done what is wrong.
8 Vì Chúa Hằng Hữu cầm ly trong tay mình, là ly rượu đầy bọt pha nhiều hương liệu. Ngài rót rượu phán xét ra, và mọi người gian ác phải uống, uống cho đến khi cạn.
[It is as though] Yahweh holds a cup in his hand; it is filled with wine that [has spices] mixed in it [to cause those who drink it to become more drunk]; and when Yahweh pours it out, he will force all the wicked people to drink it; they will drink every drop of it, [which means that he will give them all the punishment that they deserve].
9 Nhưng riêng con, con sẽ luôn kể lại sự việc Đức Chúa Trời thực hiện; con sẽ ngợi ca Đức Chúa Trời của Gia-cốp.
But [as for me], I will never stop saying what the God whom Jacob [worshiped has done]; I will never quit singing to praise him.
10 Vì Đức Chúa Trời phán: “Ta sẽ bẻ gãy các sừng của người ác, nhưng sừng của người công chính sẽ được tôn cao.”
He will destroy the power [IDM] of wicked people, but he will cause righteous people to become more powerful.
