Thánh Thi 64

1 (Thơ của Đa-vít, soạn cho nhạc trưởng) Lạy Đức Chúa Trời, xin lắng tai nghe tiếng con than thở. Bảo vệ mạng sống con khỏi quân thù đe dọa.

`In Ebrewe thus, To the victorie, the salm of Dauid. `In Jerom `thus, To the ouercomer, the song of Dauid. God, here thou my preier, whanne Y biseche; delyuere thou my soule fro the drede of the enemy.

2 Xin che giấu con khi người ác mật bàn, khi bọn gian tà nổi loạn trong cuồng nộ.

Thou hast defendid me fro the couent of yuele doers; fro the multitude of hem that worchen wickidnesse.

3 Họ mài lưỡi sắc như gươm, tung lời nói như bắn cung tên.

For thei scharpiden her tungis as a swerd, thei benten a bowe, a bittir thing;

4 Bắn lén người vô tội, không ngại ngùng, bất chợt nhả tên.

5 Chúng ngoan cố theo đuổi điều ác độc, bàn mưu đặt bẫy cách âm thầm. Tưởng rằng: “Chẳng ai biết được.

6 Ai dò được tội ác ta làm. Ta hoạch định mưu kế thần sầu.” Tâm trí con người thật hiểm sâu.

Thei souyten wickidnessis; thei souyten, and failiden in sekinge. A man neiyhe to deep herte;

7 Nhưng Chúa sẽ giương cung bắn trúng, họ bị thương, ngã xuống bất ngờ.

and God schal be enhaunsid. The arowis of `litle men ben maad the woundis of hem;

8 Lưỡi họ gây họa cho họ, ai thấy họ cũng đều lắc đầu chạy trốn.

and the tungis of hem ben maad sijk ayens hem. Alle men ben disturblid, that sien hem;

9 Mọi người sẽ kinh hoàng, thuật lại, các công tác Đức Chúa Trời vừa thực hiện, suy tư, tìm hiểu việc Ngài làm.

and ech man dredde. And thei telden the werkis of God; and vndurstoden the dedis of God.

10 Người công chính sẽ vui mừng trong Chúa Hằng Hữu, và ẩn náu trong Ngài. Người có lòng ngay thẳng sẽ ca ngợi Ngài.

The iust man schal be glad in the Lord, and schal hope in hym; and alle men of riytful herte schulen be preisid.
