Thánh Thi 63
1 (Thơ của Đa-vít, khi đi lánh nạn vùng hoang mạc Giu-đa) Lạy Đức Chúa Trời, là Đức Chúa Trời của con; vừa sáng con tìm kiếm Chúa. Linh hồn con khát khao Ngài; toàn thân con mơ ước Chúa giữa vùng đất khô khan, nứt nẻ, không nước.
A psalm of David when he was in the desert of Edom. O God, my God, to thee do I watch at break of day. For thee my soul hath thirsted; for thee my flesh, O how many ways!
2 Nên con nhìn lên nơi thánh Ngài, chiêm ngưỡng thần quyền và vinh quang.
In a desert land, and where there is no way, and no water: so in the sanctuary have I come before thee, to see thy power and thy glory.
3 Vì lòng nhân từ Chúa quý hơn mạng sống; con sẽ mở miệng ngợi tôn Ngài.
For thy mercy is better than lives: thee my lips shall praise.
4 Con sẽ chúc tụng Chúa suốt đời con, đưa tay hướng về Ngài, cầu nguyện.
Thus will I bless thee all my life long: and in thy name I will lift up my hands.
5 Linh hồn con thỏa mãn như ăn miếng ngon. Miệng lưỡi con vui mừng ca ngợi.
Let my soul be filled as with marrow and fatness: and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips.
6 Nằm trên giường, con nhớ đến Chúa, liền suy tư về Chúa suốt đêm thâu.
If I have remembered thee upon my bed, I will meditate on thee in the morning:
7 Vì Chúa phù hộ con, con vui mừng ẩn nấp dưới cánh che chở của Ngài.
Because thou hast been my helper. And I will rejoice under the covert of thy wings:
8 Linh hồn con bấu víu Chúa; tay phải Chúa nâng đỡ con.
My soul hath stuck close to thee: thy right hand hath received me.
9 Những người tìm kế tiêu diệt con sẽ tiêu tan. Họ sẽ sa vào hố thẳm diệt vong.
But they have sought my soul in vain, they shall go into the lower parts of the earth:
10 Họ sẽ bị giáo đâm gươm chém, bị sài lang cấu xé làm mồi.
They shall be delivered into the hands of the sword, they shall be the portions of foxes.
11 Nhưng vua sẽ vui mừng trong Đức Chúa Trời. Ai nhân danh Chúa mà thề, sẽ ngợi khen Ngài, còn bọn dối trá sẽ câm miệng lại.
But the king shall rejoice in God, all they shall be praised that swear by him: because the mouth is stopped of them that speak wicked things.
