Thánh Thi 36
1 (Thơ của Đa-vít, đầy tớ Chúa, soạn cho nhạc trưởng) Một lời nói trong lòng tôi về tội lỗi của người ác rằng: Nó không để tâm đến việc kính sợ Đức Chúa Trời.
[Wicked people continually desire to] sin. They consider [IDM] that they do not need to revere God.
2 Nó chỉ lo tâng bốc bản thân, đến nỗi không thấy tội cũng không ghét tội.
Because they are very proud, they do not think that God will discover their sins and condemn them (OR, they do not think about their sins and hate themselves for it).
3 Miệng lưỡi nó đầy lời xảo trá, không chút khôn ngoan, chẳng tốt lành.
[Everything] that they say is deceitful and full of lies; they no longer do what is good and are no longer wise.
4 Nằm trên giường tính toan điều ác, quyết tâm theo con đường gian trá, không từ bỏ hành vi sai trái.
While they are lying on their beds, they plan to do things to harm [others]; they are determined to do things that are not good, and they never refuse [to do what is] evil.
5 Chúa Hằng Hữu ôi, lượng nhân từ bao la trời biển; lòng thành tín vượt quá mây ngàn.
Yahweh, your faithful love for us reaches as high as the heavens, you faithfully [do what you have promised]; [it is as though your doing that] extends up to the clouds.
6 Đức công chính sừng sững non cao, sự xét đoán sâu hơn vực thẳm. Ngài bảo tồn loài người, loài vật, lạy Chúa Hằng Hữu.
Your righteous behavior is [as permanent as] the highest mountains [MET], your acting justly [will continue as long as] the deepest oceans [exist]. You take care of people and you take care of animals.
7 Lòng nhân từ Chúa quý biết bao, ôi Đức Chúa Trời! Con cái loài người nương tựa mình dưới bóng cánh của Ngài.
God, your faithful love for us is very precious. You protect us like birds protect their baby birds under their wings [MET].
8 Được thỏa mãn thức ăn dư dật trong nhà Chúa, uống nước sông phước lạc từ trời.
You provide for us plenty of food from the abundant supply [IDM] that you have; your great blessings for us [flow] like a river.
9 Vì Chúa chính là nguồn sống và ánh sáng soi chiếu chúng con.
You are the one who causes everything to live; your light is what enables us to see.
10 Xin cứ thương yêu người biết Chúa; xử công minh với người ngay thật.
Continue to faithfully love those who have experienced a relationship with you, and bless those who act righteously/justly.
11 Xin đừng cho người kiêu ngạo giẫm chân con hay người ác xô đùa con xuống hố.
Do not allow proud people [SYN] to attack me, or allow wicked people to chase me away.
12 Kìa! Người làm ác ngã rạp! Họ bị xô ngã không trở dậy nổi.
Look where evil people have fallen on the ground, defeated; they were thrown down, and they will never rise again.
