Thánh Thi 33
1 Người công chính, hãy hân hoan trong Chúa Hằng Hữu; xứng hợp thay, người ngay thẳng ca tụng Ngài.
[A Psalm] of David. Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous; praise becomes the upright.
2 Hãy ca ngợi Chúa bằng đàn hạc; hãy tấu nhạc cho Ngài bằng đàn thập huyền.
Praise the Lord on the harp; platy to him on a lute of ten strings.
3 Hãy hát cho Chúa một bài ca mới; hòa tấu tuyệt diệu và reo mừng.
Sing to him a new song; play skillfully with a loud noise.
4 Vì lời Chúa Hằng Hữu là chân lý, Chúa thành tín trong mọi việc Ngài làm.
For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are faithful.
5 Chúa ưa điều công minh chính đáng; khắp đất tràn ngập tình thương không phai tàn của Ngài.
He loves mercy and judgment; the earth is full the mercy of the Lord.
6 Lời Chúa Hằng Hữu sáng lập vũ trụ, hơi thở Ngài tạo muôn triệu tinh tú.
By the word of the Lord the heavens were established; and all the host of them by the breath of his [mouth].
7 Ngài góp nước thành đại dương, chứa đầy các bể sâu.
Who gathers the waters of the sea as [in] a bottle; who lays up the deeps in treasuries.
8 Cả thế giới hãy kính sợ Chúa Hằng Hữu, mọi người trần gian phải khiếp kinh.
Let all the earth fear the Lord; and let all that dwell in the world be moved because of him.
9 Chúa phán, vũ trụ liền xuất hiện! Vạn vật tồn tại theo lệnh Ngài.
For he spoke, and they were made; he commanded, and they were created.
10 Chúa Hằng Hữu phá hỏng kế hoạch các nước, Ngài tiêu diệt dự định muôn dân.
The Lord frustrates the counsels of the nations; he brings to nothing also the reasonings of the peoples, and brings to nothing the counsels of princes.
11 Nhưng kế hoạch Chúa Hằng Hữu tồn tại mãi mãi; ý định Ngài bất diệt muôn đời.
But the counsel of the Lord endures for ever, the thoughts of his heart from generation to generation.
12 Phước cho nước nào tôn Đức Chúa Trời là Chúa Hằng Hữu, và dân tộc được Ngài chọn làm cơ nghiệp Ngài.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.
13 Chúa Hằng Hữu từ trời nhìn xuống thấy tất cả loài người.
The Lord looks out of heaven; he beholds all the sons of men.
14 Từ ngai Chúa ngự Ngài quan sát tất cả dân trên thế gian.
He looks from his prepared habitation on all the dwellers on the earth;
15 Chúa tạo linh hồn nhân loại, vậy Ngài biết mọi việc họ làm.
who fashioned their hearts alone; who understands all their works.
16 Không vua nào nhờ binh hùng tướng mạnh mà thắng trận; sức mạnh nào cứu được anh hùng.
A king is not saved by reason of a great host; and a giant shall not be delivered by the greatness of his strength.
17 Lúc lâm nguy chiến mã thành vô dụng— dù mạnh đến đâu cũng chẳng giải thoát được ai.
A horse is vain for safety; neither shall he be delivered by the greatness of his power.
18 Nhưng mắt Chúa Hằng Hữu nhìn người tin kính và người trông mong đức nhân từ không phai tàn của Ngài.
Behold, the eyes of the Lord are on them that fear him, those that hope in his mercy;
19 Chúa giải thoát họ khỏi chết và cho họ sống sót qua cơn đói kém.
to deliver their souls from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
20 Chúng con trông đợi Chúa Hằng Hữu. Đấng cứu hộ, khiên thuẫn chở che.
Our soul waits on the Lord; for he is our helper and defender.
21 Lòng chúng con hân hoan trong Chúa, vì chúng con tin cậy Danh Thánh Ngài.
For our heart shall rejoice in him, and we have hoped in his holy name.
22 Nguyện tình thương Chúa Hằng Hữu bao phủ chúng con, như chúng con hằng hy vọng nơi Ngài.
Let your mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we have hoped in you.
