Thánh Thi 32
1 (Giáo huấn ca của Đa-vít) Phước cho người có tội được tha thứ, vi phạm được khỏa lấp.
“A psalm of David.” Happy is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is pardoned!
2 Phước cho người không bị Chúa kể tội, hồn sạch trong, không chút gian trá.
Happy the man to whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no guile!
3 Khi con không chịu xưng nhận tội xương cốt hao mòn, suốt ngày rên rỉ.
While I kept silence, my bones were wasted, By reason of my groaning all the day long.
4 Ngày và đêm tay Chúa đè trên con nặng nề. Sức lực con tan như sáp dưới nắng hạ.
For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me; My moisture dried up, as in summer's drought.
5 Cho đến lúc con nhận tội với Chúa, không che giấu gian ác con. Con tự bảo: “Ta sẽ xưng tội với Chúa Hằng Hữu.” Và Chúa đã tha thứ con! Mọi tội ác đã qua.
At length I acknowledged to thee my sin, And did not hide my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgression to the LORD;” And thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin! (Pause)
6 Vì thế, mọi người tin kính Chúa hãy cầu nguyện với Chúa khi còn gặp được, để họ không bị chìm trong nước lũ của ngày phán xét.
Therefore shall every pious man pray to thee, while thou mayst be found; Surely the floods of great waters shall not come near him.
7 Vì Chúa là nơi con ẩn náu; Chúa bảo vệ con lúc gian nan. Ngài bao bọc con trong tiếng ca giải thoát.
Thou art my hiding-place; thou preservest me from trouble; Thou compassest me about with songs of deliverance. (Pause)
8 Chúa Hằng Hữu phán: “Ta sẽ dạy con, chỉ cho con đường lối phải theo. Mắt Ta sẽ dõi theo và hướng dẫn.
I will instruct thee, and show thee the way thou shouldst go; I will give thee counsel, and keep mine eye upon thee.
9 Đừng dại dột cứng cổ như la, như ngựa, phải dùng hàm thiếc, dây cương mới chịu vâng phục.”
Be ye not like the horse and the mule, which have no understanding, Whose mouths must be pressed with the bridle and curb, Because they will not come near thee!
10 Người ác chịu nhiều khổ đau, nhưng ai tin cậy Chúa Hằng Hữu sẽ được tràn đầy ân huệ.
The wicked hath many sorrows; But he that trusteth in the LORD is encompassed with mercies.
11 Những người công chính, hãy vui vẻ và mừng rỡ trong Chúa Hằng Hữu! Những người có lòng ngay thẳng, hãy reo vui!
Rejoice in the LORD, and be glad, ye righteous; Shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart!
