Thánh Thi 24

1 (Thơ của Đa-vít) Địa cầu của Chúa và vạn vật trong đó. Thế gian và mọi người trên đất đều thuộc về Ngài.

On the first day of the week, a psalm for David. The earth is the Lord’s and the fulness thereof: the world, and all they that dwell therein.

2 Chúa đã tạo đất khô gần đại dương và bên cạnh sông ngòi, lập đồng bằng.

For he hath founded it upon the seas; and hath prepared it upon the rivers.

3 Ai sẽ được lên núi của Chúa Hằng Hữu? Ai có thể đứng nơi thánh địa Ngài?

Who shall ascend into the mountain of the Lord: or who shall stand in his holy place?

4 Chỉ những người tay sạch lòng ngay, không thờ phượng các thần tượng và không thề nguyền gian dối.

The innocent in hands, and clean of heart, who hath not taken his soul in vain, nor sworn deceitfully to his neighbour.

5 Họ sẽ nhận phước từ Chúa Hằng Hữu và có mối tương giao mật thiết với Đức Chúa Trời, Đấng cứu rỗi mình.

He shall receive a blessing from the Lord, and mercy from God his Saviour.

6 Đó là dòng dõi của người tìm kiếm Chúa, chiêm ngưỡng Thiên nhan, lạy Đức Chúa Trời của Gia-cốp.

This is the generation of them that seek him, of them that seek the face of the God of Jacob.

7 Hỡi các cửa hãy ngước đầu lên! Hỡi các cánh cổng xưa hãy tung mở, để Vua Vinh Quang vào.

Lift up your gates, O ye princes, and be ye lifted up, O eternal gates: and the King of Glory shall enter in.

8 Vua Vinh Quang là ai? Là Chúa Hằng Hữu đầy sức mạnh và quyền năng; Chúa Hằng Hữu vô địch trong chiến trận.

Who is this King of Glory? the Lord who is strong and mighty: the Lord mighty in battle.

9 Hỡi các cửa hãy ngước đầu lên! Hỡi các cánh cổng xưa hãy tung mở, để Vua Vinh Quang vào.

Lift up your gates, O ye princes, and be ye lifted up, O eternal gates: and the King of Glory shall enter in.

10 Vua Vinh Quang là ai? Là Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân— Ngài là Vua Vinh Quang.

Who is this King of Glory? the Lord of hosts, he is the King of Glory.
