Thánh Thi 19
1 (Thơ của Đa-vít, soạn cho nhạc trưởng) Bầu trời phản ánh vinh quang của Đức Chúa Trời, không gian chứng tỏ quyền năng của Ngài.
Unto the end. A psalm for David. The heavens shew forth the glory of God, and the firmament declareth the work of his hands.
2 Ngày ngày rao giảng về vinh quang Chúa, đêm đêm truyền thông chân lý của Ngài,
Day to day uttereth speech, and night to night sheweth knowledge.
3 không lên tiếng nói, không dùng thanh âm, không gian như thinh lặng.
There are no speeches nor languages, where their voices are not heard.
4 Thế nhưng ý tưởng của vạn vật được loan đi mọi miền, loan xa đến cuối khung trời. Trên từng cao Đức Chúa Trời đã căn lều cho mặt trời.
Their sound hath gone forth into all the earth: and their words unto the ends of the world.
5 Mặt trời trông như tân lang ra khỏi loan phòng. Như chàng lực sĩ hân hoan trong ngày tranh tài.
He hath set his tabernacle in the sun: and he, as a bridegroom coming out of his bride chamber, Hath rejoiced as a giant to run the way:
6 Mặt trời mọc lên từ chân trời này chạy vòng đến tận chân trời kia không gì tránh khỏi sức nóng mặt trời.
His going out is from the end of heaven, And his circuit even to the end thereof: and there is no one that can hide himself from his heat.
7 Luật Chúa Hằng Hữu trọn vẹn, phục hưng tâm linh, chứng cớ Chúa Hằng Hữu là chắc chắn, khiến cho người dại nên người khôn ngoan.
The law of the Lord is unspotted, converting souls: the testimony of the Lord is faithful, giving wisdom to little ones.
8 Thánh chỉ Chúa Hằng Hữu ngay thẳng làm tâm hồn hoan hỉ, điều răn Chúa Hằng Hữu trong sạch, làm sáng mắt, sáng lòng.
The justices of the Lord are right, rejoicing hearts: the commandment of the Lord is lightsome, enlightening the eyes.
9 Sự kính sợ Chúa Hằng Hữu là tinh khiết muôn đời, mệnh lệnh Chúa Hằng Hữu vững bền và công chính.
The fear of the Lord is holy, enduring for ever and ever: the judgments of the Lord are true, justified in themselves.
10 Vàng ròng đâu quý bằng, mật ong nào sánh được.
More to be desired than gold and many precious stones: and sweeter than honey and the honeycomb.
11 Những lời răn giới giãi bày khôn ngoan ai tuân giữ được, Ngài ban thưởng.
For thy servant keepeth them, and in keeping them there is a great reward.
12 Người khôn nhanh chóng nhìn nhận lỗi lầm xin tha những lỗi mình không biết.
Who can understand sins? from my secret ones cleanse me, O Lord:
13 Xin Chúa giữ con khỏi tội “cố tình làm sai.” Không đam mê tái phạm, tránh xa cạm bẫy quanh con. Cho con thoát khỏi lưới tròng và con được Chúa kể là toàn hảo.
And from those of others spare thy servant. If they shall have no dominion over me, then shall I be without spot: and I shall be cleansed from the greatest sin.
14 Kính lạy Chúa Hằng Hữu, Vầng Đá của con, Đấng cứu vớt con, nguyện lời nói của miệng con, và suy ngẫm của lòng con đẹp ý Ngài.
And the words of my mouth shall be such as may please: and the meditation of my heart always in thy sight. O Lord, my helper, and my redeemer.
