Thánh Thi 125

1 (Bài ca lên đền thờ) Ai tin cậy Chúa Hằng Hữu sẽ giống Núi Si-ôn; không dao động, nhưng bất diệt trường tồn.

Those/We who trust in Yahweh are [as secure/steadfast] [SIM] as Zion Hill, which cannot be shaken and can never be moved.

2 Núi non bao bọc Giê-ru-sa-lem, như Chúa Hằng Hữu chở che dân Ngài, từ nay cho đến muôn đời.

Like the hills that surround Jerusalem [protect the city], Yahweh protects [us], his people, and he will protect us forever.

3 Vì người ác không còn cầm quyền trên phần đất người công chính, để chúng ta khỏi bị ép buộc nhúng tay vào việc bất lương.

Wicked people [MTY] should not [be allowed to] rule over the land where righteous [people] live. If they did that, those righteous [people] might [(be encouraged to imitate them and]) do things that are wrong.

4 Chúa Hằng Hữu ôi, xin ban phước cho người hiền đức, là những người có lòng công chính.

Yahweh, do good things to those who do good things to others and to those who sincerely obey your commands [IDM].

5 Còn người đi theo đường cong queo, lạy Chúa Hằng Hữu. Xin phạt họ chung với những ai làm điều ác. Nguyện cầu thanh bình cho Ít-ra-ên!

But when you punish the wicked people [who are not Israelis], also punish those [Israelis] who turn away from walking on the good roads [MET] that you have shown them! I wish that things will go well for [people in] Israel!
