Thánh Thi 106
1 Ngợi tôn Chúa Hằng Hữu! Tạ ơn Chúa Hằng Hữu, vì Ngài là thiện! Sự nhân từ Ngài còn mãi đời đời.
Alleluya. Kouleche ye to the Lord, for he is good; for his mercy is with outen ende.
2 Ai có thể tường thuật phép lạ Chúa Hằng Hữu làm? Ai có đủ lời tôn ngợi Chúa Hằng Hữu?
Who schal speke the powers of the Lord; schal make knowun alle hise preisyngis?
3 Phước cho người giữ theo đường ngay thẳng và luôn luôn tôn trọng phép công bằng.
Blessid ben thei that kepen dom; and doon riytfulnesse in al tyme.
4 Lạy Chúa Hằng Hữu, xin nhớ đến con, khi Chúa làm ơn cho dân Ngài; xin Chúa thăm viếng và giải cứu con.
Lord, haue thou mynde on vs in the good plesaunce of thi puple; visite thou vs in thin heelthe.
5 Xin cho con thấy tuyển dân được hưng thịnh. Xin cho con chia sẻ niềm vui cùng dân Chúa; và cùng họ vui hưởng cơ nghiệp Ngài.
To se in the goodnesse of thi chosun men, to be glad in the gladnes of thi folk; that thou be heried with thin eritage.
6 Chúng con với tổ tiên đều mang trọng tội. Chúng con đã làm điều sai! Chúng con hành động quá độc ác!
We han synned with oure fadris; we han do vniustli, we han do wickidnesse.
7 Khi tổ tiên chúng con ở Ai Cập đã không quan tâm các phép lạ của Chúa Hằng Hữu. Họ không ghi tạc đức nhân ái vô biên. Nên sinh tâm phản loạn bên Biển Đỏ.
Oure fadris in Egipt vndirstoden not thi merueils; thei weren not myndeful of the multitude of thi merci. And thei stiynge in to the see, in to the reed see, terreden to wraththe;
8 Dù vậy, Chúa vẫn cứu họ— vì Danh Ngài và cho muôn dân nhìn nhận quyền oai Ngài.
and he sauede hem for his name, that `he schulde make knowun his power.
9 Chúa ra lệnh, Biển Đỏ liền khai lối, Ngài dẫn Ít-ra-ên qua đại dương như đất khô.
And he departide the reed see, and it was dried; and he lede forth hem in the depthis of watris as in deseert.
10 Chúa cứu họ khỏi kẻ thù của họ, và chuộc tuyển dân thoát chốn oán thù.
And he sauede hem fro the hond of hateris; and he ayen bouyte hem fro the hond of the enemye.
11 Nước đổ xuống nhận chìm quân địch; không còn ai sống sót quay về.
And the watir hilide men troublynge hem; oon of hem abood not.
12 Khi ấy dân Chúa mới tin lời Ngài hứa. Và mở miệng hát tôn vinh Ngài.
And thei bileueden to hise wordis; and thei preisiden the heriynge of hym.
13 Nhưng rồi họ quên thật nhanh những việc Ngài làm! Không chờ đợi lời Chúa răn dạy!
Thei hadden `soone do, thei foryaten hise werkis; and thei abididen not his councel.
14 Tại hoang mạc dân Chúa để dục vọng mình nổi dậy không kiềm chế, thách thức Ngài giữa chốn đồng hoang.
And thei coueitiden coueitise in deseert; and temptiden God in a place with out watir.
15 Vậy, Chúa ban cho điều họ mong ước, nhưng sai bệnh tật hủy phá linh hồn.
And he yaf to hem the axyng of hem; and he sente fulnesse in to the soulis of hem.
16 Trong trại quân, họ ganh ghét Môi-se cùng A-rôn, thầy tế lễ thánh của Chúa Hằng Hữu;
And thei wraththiden Moyses in the castels; Aaron, the hooli of the Lord.
17 Vì thế, đất liền há miệng; nuốt chửng Đa-than và chôn vùi toàn trại A-bi-ram.
The erthe was opened, and swolewid Datan; and hilide on the congregacioun of Abiron.
18 Rồi lửa thiêu luôn cả bè đảng; lửa thiêng tiêu diệt bọn ác gian.
And fier brente an hiye in the synagoge of hem; flawme brente synneris.
19 Tại Hô-rếp, dân chúng đúc tượng thần; họ thờ lạy bò con vàng đó.
And thei maden a calf in Oreb; and worschipiden a yotun ymage.
20 Từ bỏ Đức Chúa Trời vinh quang hằng sống, đổi lấy hình tượng con bò, loài ăn cỏ.
And thei chaungiden her glorie; in to the liknesse of a calf etynge hei.
21 Họ quên Đức Chúa Trời, Đấng giải cứu họ, Đấng làm mọi việc vĩ đại tại Ai Cập—
Thei foryaten God, that sauede hem, that dide grete werkis in Egipt,
22 những việc diệu kỳ trong đất nước Cham, cùng những việc đáng kinh nơi Biển Đỏ.
merueils in the lond of Cham; feerdful thingis in the reed see.
23 Chúa tỏ ý muốn tiêu diệt hết. Nhưng Môi-se, người Chúa chọn, đã đứng giữa Chúa Hằng Hữu và dân. Kêu cầu Chúa xin ngưng hình phạt hủy diệt họ.
And God seide, that he wolde leese hem; if Moises, his chosun man, hadde not stonde in the brekyng of his siyt. That he schulde turne awei his ire; lest he loste hem.
24 Dân coi thường việc vào đất hứa vì không tin lời Chúa hứa.
And thei hadden the desirable lond for nouyt, thei bileueden not to his word, and thei grutchiden in her tabernaclis;
25 Thay vào đó họ oán than trong trại, không lắng tai nghe tiếng Chúa Hằng Hữu.
thei herden not the vois of the Lord.
26 Vì tội ác, Chúa đã thề nguyền cả thế hệ vùi thây nơi hoang mạc,
And he reiside his hond on hem; to caste doun hem in desert.
27 và làm cho dòng dõi họ tản mác khắp nơi, bị lưu đày đến những xứ xa xôi.
And to caste awei her seed in naciouns; and to leese hem in cuntreis.
28 Tổ phụ chúng con cùng thờ lạy Ba-anh tại Phê-ô; họ còn ăn lễ vật dâng thần tượng!
And thei maden sacrifice to Belfagor; and thei eeten the sacrificis of deed beestis.
29 Họ khiêu khích Chúa Hằng Hữu qua nhiều việc, nên bệnh dịch phát khởi lan tràn.
And thei wraththiden God in her fyndyngis; and fallyng was multiplied in hem.
30 Cho đến lúc Phi-nê-a cầu xin Chúa cho chứng bệnh nguy nan chấm dứt.
And Fynees stood, and pleeside God; and the veniaunce ceesside.
31 Việc ông làm được xem là công chính nên ông được ghi nhớ muôn đời.
And it was arrettid to hym to riytfulnesse; in generacioun and in to generacioun, til in to with outen ende.
32 Tại Mê-ri-ba, họ chọc giận Chúa Hằng Hữu, vì họ mà Môi-se hứng chịu tai họa.
And thei wraththiden God at the watris of ayenseiyng; and Moises was trauelid for hem, for thei maden bittere his spirit,
33 Ông quẫn trí khi dân chúng gây rối, miệng thốt ra những lời nông nổi.
and he departide in his lippis.
34 Họ không tiêu diệt dân địa phương, theo lệnh Chúa Hằng Hữu đã phán dạy.
Thei losten not hethen men; whiche the Lord seide to hem.
35 Nhưng đồng hóa với các dân ấy, và bắt chước các thói tục xấu xa của họ.
And thei weren meddlid among hethene men, and lerneden the werkis of hem,
36 Thậm chí thờ phượng các tượng thần, ngày càng lìa xa Chúa Hằng Hữu.
and serueden the grauen ymagis of hem; and it was maad to hem in to sclaundre.
37 Nhẫn tâm sát hại chính con mình làm lễ vật dâng cho các quỷ.
And thei offriden her sones; and her douytris to feendis.
38 Máu vô tội tràn lan khắp đất, giết con mình, cả gái lẫn trai. Đem dâng cho tượng thần người Ca-na-an, làm cho cả xứ bị ô uế.
And thei schedden out innocent blood, the blood of her sones and of her douytris; whiche thei sacrificiden to the grauun ymagis of Chanaan.
39 Chăm điều ác nên toàn dân nhơ nhuốc, lầm lạc tà dâm với tà thần.
And the erthe was slayn in bloodis, and was defoulid in the werkis of hem; and thei diden fornicacioun in her fyndyngis.
40 Chúa Hằng Hữu nổi giận vô cùng, và Ngài ghê tởm cơ nghiệp mình.
And the Lord was wrooth bi strong veniaunce ayens his puple; and hadde abhominacioun of his eritage.
41 Ngài phó họ cho người ngoại quốc, Ngài khiến kẻ thù cai trị họ.
And he bitook hem in to the hondis of hethene men; and thei that hatiden hem, weren lordis of hem.
42 Và kẻ thù họ áp bức họ, họ cúi đầu vâng phục.
And her enemyes diden tribulacioun to hem, and thei weren mekid vndir the hondis of enemyes;
43 Nhiều lần Chúa ra tay giải cứu, nhưng họ luôn phản nghịch cứng đầu, họ ngày càng chìm sâu trong biển tội.
ofte he delyuerede hem. But thei wraththiden hym in her counsel; and thei weren maad low in her wickidnessis.
44 Dù vậy khi dân Ngài kêu la thảm thiết Chúa chợt nhìn xuống cảnh lầm than.
And he siye, whanne thei weren set in tribulacioun; and he herde the preyer of hem.
45 Ngài nhớ lại những lời giao ước của Ngài, Ngài động lòng thương bởi đức nhân ái.
And he was myndeful of his testament; and it repentide hym bi the multitude of his merci.
46 Ngài khiến quân thù sinh lòng trắc ẩn, người nắm cường quyền cũng phải xót xa.
And he yaf hem in to mercies; in the siyt of alle men, that hadden take hem.
47 Xin cứu chúng con, Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời chúng con ôi! Tụ họp chúng con từ các dân tộc, để dâng lời tạ ơn Danh Thánh Chúa và vui mừng hát ngợi khen Ngài.
Oure Lord God, make thou vs saaf; and gadere togidere vs fro naciouns. That we knouleche to thin hooli name; and haue glorie in thi preisyng.
48 Chúc tụng Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của Ít-ra-ên, Đấng đáng được tôn ngợi từ muôn đời trước đến muôn đời sau! Nguyện muôn dân đồng nói: “A-men!” Ngợi tôn Chúa Hằng Hữu!
Blessid be the Lord God of Israel fro the world and til in to the world; and al the puple schal seye, Be it don, be it don.
