1 Đây là tên những người đóng ấn trên giao ước: Tổng Trấn: Nê-hê-mi, con của Ha-ca-lia và Sê-đê-kia.
Now, upon the sealed writings, were, —Nehemiah the governor, son of Hacaliah, and Zedekiah;
2 Thầy tế lễ gồm có: Sê-ra-gia, A-xa-ria, Giê-rê-mi,
Seraiah, Azariah, Jeremiah;
3 Pha-su-rơ, A-ma-ria, Manh-ki-gia,
Pashhur, Amariah, Malchijah;
4 Hát-túc, Sê-ba-nia, Ma-lúc,
Hattush, Shebaniah, Malluch;
5 Ha-rim, Mê-rê-mốt, Áp-đia,
Harim, Meremoth, Obadiah;
6 Đa-ni-ên, Ghi-nê-thôn, Ba-rúc,
Daniel, Ginnethon, Baruch;
7 Mê-su-lam, A-bi-gia, Mi-gia-min,
Meshullam, Abijah, Mijamin;
8 Ma-a-xia, Binh-gai, và Sê-ma-gia. Những người kể trên đều là thầy tế lễ.

9 Những người Lê-vi gồm có: Giê-sua, con A-xa-nia, Bin-nui, con Hê-na-đát, Cát-mi-ên
And, the Levites, —Jeshua, son of Azaniah, Binnui, of the sons of Henadad, Kadmiel;
10 và các anh em Sê-ba-nia, Hô-đia, Kê-li-ta, Bê-la-gia, Ha-nan,
and, their brethren, —Shebaniah, Hodiah, Kelita, Pelaiah, Hanan;
11 Mai-ca, Rê-hốp, Ha-sa-bia,
Mica, Rehob, Hashabiah;
12 Xác-cua, Sê-rê-bia, Sê-ba-nia,
Zaccur, Sherebiah, Shebaniah;
13 Hô-đia, Ba-ni, và Bê-ni-nu.
Hodiah, Bani, Beninu.

The heads of the people, —Parosh, Pahath-moab, Elam, Zattu, Bani;
15 Bu-ni, A-gát, Bê-bai,
Bunni, Azgad, Bebai;
16 A-đô-ni-gia, Biết-vai, A-đin,
Adonijah, Bigvai, Adin;
17 A-te, Ê-xê-chia, A-xu-rơ,

28 Những người còn lại gồm cả thường dân, thầy tế lễ, người Lê-vi, người gác cổng, ca sĩ, người phục dịch Đền Thờ, cùng với vợ, con đã lớn khôn là những người đã tách mình ra khỏi nếp sống của người ngoại tộc chung quanh để theo Đức Chúa Trời.
And, the rest of the people—the priests, the Levites, the doorkeepers, the singers, the Nethinim, and all who had separated themselves from the peoples of the lands unto the law of God, their wives, their sons and their daughters, —every one having knowledge and understanding,
29 Họ đều cùng với anh em mình và các nhà lãnh đạo thề nguyện tuân giữ Luật Pháp Đức Chúa Trời do Môi-se, đầy tớ Chúa ban hành. Họ xin Đức Chúa Trời nguyền rủa nếu họ bất tuân Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời mình:
were holding fast unto their distinguished brethren, and were entering into a curse and into an oath, to walk in the law of God, which was given through Moses the servant of God, —and to observe and do, all the commandments of Yahweh our Lord, and his regulations, and his statutes;
30 “Chúng tôi thề không gả con mình cho người ngoại giáo; không cưới con gái ngoại giáo cho con trai mình.
and that we would not give our daughters unto the peoples of the land, —and, their daughters, would we not take for our sons;
31 Chúng tôi thề không mua của ngoại giáo thóc lúa hay hàng hóa gì khác trong ngày Sa-bát và các ngày lễ; không cày cấy vào năm thứ bảy, nhưng tha hết nợ cho người khác.
and, if the peoples of the land should be bringing in wares, or any corn on the sabbath day, to sell, we would not buy of them on the sabbath, or on a holy day, —and that we would remit the seventh year, and the loan of every hand.
32 Chúng tôi hứa mỗi người hằng năm dâng một phần bốn gam bạc để dùng vào công việc Đền Thờ của Đức Chúa Trời,
And we laid on ourselves charges, appointing for ourselves the third of a shekel, yearly, —for the service of the house of our God:
33 gồm các chi phí về bánh Thánh, về lễ vật chay, và lễ thiêu dâng thường lệ, lễ thiêu dâng vào ngày Sa-bát, ngày trăng mới, và các ngày lễ khác; chi phí về các vật thánh, về lễ vật chuộc tội cho Ít-ra-ên; và các chi phí khác trong Đền Thờ Đức Chúa Trời.
for the bread to set in array, and the continual meal-offering, and for the continual ascending-sacrifice, of the sabbaths, of the new moons, for the appointed feasts, and for things hallowed, and for victims bearing sin, to put a propitiatory-covering over Israel, —and for all the work of the house of our God.
34 Chúng tôi cũng bắt thăm giữa các gia đình thầy tế lễ người Lê-vi và thường dân, để định phiên mỗi gia đình cung cấp củi đốt trên bàn thờ. Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời chúng ta vào những ngày nhất định trong năm, theo Luật Pháp quy định.
Also, lots, did we cast, concerning the offering of wood among the priests, the Levites, and the people, to bring it unto the house of our God, by our ancestral houses, at times arranged, year by year, —to burn upon the altar of Yahweh our God, as it is written in the law.
35 Chúng tôi hứa đem dâng vào Đền Thờ Chúa Hằng Hữu tất cả hoa quả đầu mùa hằng năm, kể cả trái cây lẫn mùa màng thu hoạch ở ruộng vườn.
And that we would bring in the firstfruits of our ground, and the firstfruit of all fruit of all trees, year by year, —unto the house of Yahweh;
36 Ngoài ra, con trưởng nam và thú vật đầu lòng, chiên và bò, của chúng tôi sẽ được đem dâng lên Đức Chúa Trời, trình cho các thầy tế lễ phục vụ trong Đền Thờ Ngài, như luật định.
also that, the firstborn of our sons, and of our cattle, as it is written in the law, —and the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks, we would bring in unto the house of our God, unto the priests who should be in attendance in the house of our God;
37 Chúng tôi cũng sẽ đem vào kho Đền Thờ Đức Chúa Trời, trình cho các thầy tế lễ bột thượng hạng và những lễ vật khác gồm hoa quả, rượu, và dầu; sẽ nộp cho người Lê-vi một phần mười hoa màu của đất đai, vì người Lê-vi vẫn thu phần mười của anh chị em sống trong các miền thôn quê.
and, the first part of our meal and our heave-offerings and the fruit of all trees, new wine and oil, would we bring in unto the priests, into the chambers of the house of our God, and the tithe of our ground unto the Levites, —the Levites themselves, taking the tithes in all our cities of agriculture.
38 Khi người Lê-vi thu nhận phần mười, sẽ có một thầy tế lễ—con cháu A-rôn—hiện diện, và rồi người Lê-vi sẽ đem một phần mười của phần mười thu được vào kho Đền Thờ của Đức Chúa Trời.
And the priest the son of Aaron should be with the Levites, when the Levites should take the tithes, —and the Levites, should bring up the tithe of the tithe, unto the house of our God, into the chambers pertaining unto the treasure-house.
39 Toàn dân và người Lê-vi sẽ đem các lễ vật, ngũ cốc, rượu, và dầu vào kho đền thờ; những vật này được chứa trong các bình thánh để dành cho các thầy tế lễ người gác cổng và ca sĩ sử dụng. Chúng tôi hứa sẽ không dám bỏ bê Đền Thờ Đức Chúa Trời của chúng tôi.”
For, into the chambers, should the sons of Israel and the sons of Levi bring in the heave-offering of the corn, the new wine and the oil, since, there, are the utensils of the sanctuary, and the priests who are in attendance, and the doorkeepers, and the singers, —so would we not neglect the house of our God.
