Ma-thi-ơ 28
1 Sáng Chúa Nhật, trời mới rạng đông, Ma-ri Ma-đơ-len và Ma-ri, mẹ Gia-cơ đi thăm mộ Chúa.
After the Sabbath, in the early dawn of the first day of the week, Mary of Magdala and the other Mary came to see the sepulchre.
2 Thình lình, có trận động đất dữ dội! Một thiên sứ của Chúa từ trời giáng xuống, lăn tảng đá khỏi cửa mộ và ngồi lên trên.
But to their amazement there had been a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord had descended from Heaven, and had come and rolled back the stone, and was sitting upon it.
3 Mặt thiên sứ sáng như chớp nhoáng, áo trắng như tuyết.
His appearance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow.
4 Bọn lính canh run rẩy khiếp sợ, trở nên bất động như xác chết.
For fear of him the guards trembled violently, and became like dead men.
5 Thiên sứ bảo: “Đừng sợ, tôi biết các bà tìm Chúa Giê-xu, Đấng đã chịu đóng đinh trên cây thập tự.
But the angel said to the women, "As for you, dismiss your fears. I know that it is Jesus that you are looking for--the crucified One.
6 Nhưng Chúa không ở đây đâu, Ngài sống lại rồi đúng như lời Ngài nói. Hãy đến xem chỗ Chúa đã nằm
He is not here: He has come back to life, as He foretold. Come and see the place where He lay.
7 và lập tức đi loan tin cho các môn đệ biết Chúa đã sống lại! Hiện nay Chúa đi trước lên xứ Ga-li-lê để gặp các môn đệ Ngài tại đó. Xin các bà ghi nhớ!”
And go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead and is going before you into Galilee: there you shall see Him. Remember, I have told you."
8 Họ vừa sợ vừa mừng, vội vàng ra khỏi mộ, chạy đi báo tin cho các môn đệ.
They quickly left the tomb and ran, still terrified but full of unspeakable joy, to carry the news to His disciples.
9 Nhưng bất ngờ họ gặp Chúa Giê-xu. Thấy Ngài chào mừng, họ liền đến gần, ôm chân Chúa và thờ lạy Ngài.
And then suddenly they saw Jesus coming to meet them. "Peace be to you," He said. And they came and clasped His feet, bowing to the ground before Him.
10 Chúa Giê-xu phán bảo họ: “Đừng sợ! Các con cứ đi báo tin mừng cho các anh chị em Ta để họ lên xứ Ga-li-lê họp mặt với Ta.”
Then He said, "Dismiss all fear! Go and take word to my brethren to go into Galilee, and there they shall see me."
11 Trong khi các bà đi về, bọn lính canh cũng chạy về thành báo mọi việc cho các thầy trưởng tế.
While they went on this errand, some of the guards came into the city and reported to the High Priests every detail of what had happened.
12 Họ họp kín với các trưởng lão rồi cho bọn lính thật nhiều tiền
So the latter held a conference with the Elders, and after consultation with them they heavily bribed the soldiers,
13 và dặn: “Các anh cứ phao tin rằng giữa đêm, các anh đang ngủ, bọn môn đệ đã lẻn vào lấy trộm xác Giê-xu.
telling them to say, "His disciples came during the night and stole his body while we were asleep."
14 Nếu vụ này tới tai tổng trấn, chúng ta sẽ tìm cách giải thích để các anh khỏi bị liên lụy.”
"And if this," they added, "is reported to the Governor, we will satisfy him and screen you from punishment."
15 Bọn lính nhận tiền và làm theo chỉ thị. Đến ngày nay, giữa vòng người Do Thái, người ta vẫn còn nghe lời đồn đại đó.
So they took the money and did as they were instructed; and this story was noised about among the Jews, and is current to this day.
16 Mười một sứ đồ đến xứ Ga-li-lê, lên ngọn núi Chúa Giê-xu đã hẹn.
As for the eleven disciples, they proceeded into Galilee, to the hill where Jesus had arranged to meet them.
17 Vừa thấy Chúa, họ đều quỳ xuống thờ lạy Ngài, nhưng một vài người còn nghi ngờ.
There they saw Him and prostrated themselves before Him. Yet some doubted.
18 Chúa Giê-xu đến gần các môn đệ, ân cần dặn bảo: “Tất cả uy quyền trên trời dưới đất đều giao về tay Ta.
Jesus however came near and said to them, "All power in Heaven and over the earth has been given to me.
19 Vậy, các con hãy đi dìu dắt tất cả các dân tộc làm môn đệ Ta, làm báp-tem cho họ nhân danh Cha, Con, và Chúa Thánh Linh,
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations; baptize them into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit;
