Ma-thi-ơ 13
1 Cũng trong ngày đó, Chúa Giê-xu ra khỏi nhà, đến bờ biển.
In that day, Jesus, departing from the house, sat down beside the sea.
2 Dân chúng tụ tập rất đông đảo, nên Chúa xuống một chiếc thuyền, ngồi đó giảng dạy, còn dân chúng đứng trên bờ, chăm chú nghe.
And such great crowds were gathered to him that he climbed into a boat and he sat down. And the entire multitude stood on the shore.
3 Chúa dùng nhiều ẩn dụ dạy dỗ họ: “Một người ra đồng gieo lúa.
And he spoke many things to them in parables, saying: “Behold, a sower went out to sow seed.
4 Lúc vãi hạt giống, có hạt rơi trên đường mòn, liền bị chim ăn sạch.
And while he was sowing, some fell beside the road, and the birds of the air came and ate it.
5 Có hạt dính vào lớp đất mỏng phủ trên đá; cây non sớm mọc lên
Then others fell in a rocky place, where they did not have much soil. And they sprung up promptly, because they had no depth of soil.
6 nhưng khi bị ánh mặt trời thiêu đốt, nó héo dần rồi chết, vì rễ không bám sâu vào lòng đất.
But when the sun rose up, they were scorched, and because they had no roots, they withered.
7 Có hạt rơi giữa bụi gai, bị gai mọc lên chặn nghẹt.
Still others fell among thorns, and the thorns increased and suffocated them.
8 Những hạt gieo vào đất tốt kết quả gấp ba mươi, sáu mươi, hay một trăm lần.
Yet some others fell upon good soil, and they produced fruit: some one hundred fold, some sixty fold, some thirty fold.
9 Ai có tai để nghe, nên lắng nghe.”
Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear.”
10 Các môn đệ đến và hỏi Chúa: “Sao Thầy dùng những chuyện ẩn dụ nói với dân chúng?”
And his disciples drew near to him and said, “Why do you speak to them in parables?”
11 Chúa đáp: “Các con hiểu huyền nhiệm về Nước Trời, còn những người khác không hiểu được.
Responding, he said to them: “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but it has not been given to them.
12 Vì ai nghe lời dạy Ta, sẽ cho thêm sự hiểu biết, nhưng ai không nghe, dù còn gì cũng bị lấy đi.
For whoever has, it shall be given to him, and he shall have in abundance. But whoever has not, even what he has shall be taken away from him.
13 Cho nên Ta dùng ẩn dụ này: Vì họ nhìn, nhưng không thật sự thấy. Họ nghe, nhưng không thật sự lắng nghe hay hiểu gì.
For this reason, I speak to them in parables: because seeing, they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.
14 Đúng như lời Tiên tri Y-sai: ‘Các ngươi nghe điều Ta nói mà các ngươi không hiểu. Các ngươi thấy điều Ta làm mà các ngươi không nhận biết.
And so, in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, who said, ‘Hearing, you shall hear, but not understand; and seeing, you shall see, but not perceive.
15 Vì lòng dân này chai lì, đôi tai nghễnh ngãng, và đôi mắt khép kín— nên chúng không thể thấy, tai không thể nghe, lòng không thể hiểu, và chúng không thể quay về với Ta để được Ta chữa lành cho.’
For the heart of this people has grown fat, and with their ears they hear heavily, and they have closed their eyes, lest at any time they might see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and be converted, and then I would heal them.’
16 Nhưng, phước cho mắt các con vì thấy được, phước cho tai các con, vì nghe được.
But blessed are your eyes, because they see, and your ears, because they hear.
17 Có biết bao nhà tiên tri và người công chính thời xưa mong mỏi được thấy những việc các con thấy, và nghe những lời các con nghe, mà không được.
Amen I say to you, certainly, that many of the prophets and the just desired to see what you see, and yet they did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and yet they did not hear it.
18 Và đây là ý nghĩa ẩn dụ người gieo giống.
Listen, then, to the parable of the sower.
19 Người nghe sứ điệp về Nước Trời mà không hiểu chẳng khác gì hạt giống rơi nhằm đường mòn chai đá. Vừa nghe xong, liền bị Sa-tan đến cướp hạt giống đi, ấy là hạt giống đã được gieo trong lòng.
With anyone who hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, evil comes and carries away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received the seed by the side of the road.
20 Hạt giống rơi nơi lớp đất mỏng phủ trên đá tượng trưng cho người nghe Đạo, vội vui mừng tiếp nhận,
Then whoever has received the seed upon a rocky place, this is one who hears the word and promptly accepts it with joy.
21 nhưng quá hời hợt, rễ không vào sâu trong lòng. Khi bị hoạn nạn, bức hại vì Đạo Đức Chúa Trời, họ vội buông tay đầu hàng.
But he has no root in himself, so it is only for a time; then, when tribulation and persecution occur because of the word, he promptly stumbles.
22 Hạt giống rơi nhằm bụi gai là những người nghe đạo Đức Chúa Trời nhưng quá lo âu về đời này và ham mê phú quý đến nỗi làm cho Đạo bị nghẹt ngòi, không thể nào kết quả được. (aiōn g165)
And whoever has received the seed among thorns, this is he who hears the word, but the cares of this age and the falseness of riches suffocate the word, and he is effectively without fruit. (aiōn g165)
23 Còn hạt giống rơi vào vùng đất tốt chỉ về người nghe Đạo Đức Chúa Trời và hiểu rõ, nên đem lại kết quả dồi dào ba mươi, sáu mươi, hay cả trăm lần như lúc gieo trồng!”
Yet truly, whoever has received the seed into good soil, this is he who hears the word, and understands it, and so he bears fruit, and he produces: some a hundred fold, and another sixty fold, and another thirty fold.”
24 Chúa Giê-xu kể cho dân chúng nghe một câu chuyện khác: “Nước Trời giống như một người gieo lúa ngoài đồng.
He proposed another parable to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field.
25 Đang đêm, lúc mọi người an giấc, kẻ thù đến gieo cỏ dại lẫn với lúa.
But while the men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds amid the wheat, and then went away.
26 Khi lúa lớn lên, trổ bông kết hạt, cỏ dại cũng lớn theo.
And when the plants had grown, and had produced fruit, then the weeds also appeared.
27 Đầy tớ đến trình với chủ: ‘Thưa, trước kia chủ gieo lúa nhưng bây giờ cỏ dại mọc đầy đồng!’
So the servants of the Father of the family, approaching, said to him: ‘Lord, did you not sow good seed in your field? Then how is it that it has weeds?’
28 Chủ giải thích: ‘Kẻ thù gieo cỏ dại vào đó!’ Đầy tớ hỏi: ‘Chủ muốn chúng tôi giẫy cỏ đi không?’
And he said to them, ‘A man who is an enemy has done this.’ So the servants said to him, ‘Is it your will that we should go and gather them up?’
29 Chủ trả lời: ‘Không, giẫy cỏ thế nào cũng động đến lúa.
And he said: ‘No, lest perhaps in gathering the weeds, you might also root out the wheat together with it.
30 Cứ để yên cho đến mùa gặt, Ta sẽ bảo thợ gặt gom cỏ dại đốt sạch, rồi thu lúa vào kho.’”
Permit both to grow until the harvest, and at the time of the harvest, I will say to the reapers: Gather first the weeds, and bind them into bundles to burn, but the wheat gather into my storehouse.’”
31 Chúa Giê-xu kể tiếp: “Nước Trời giống như hạt cải người ta gieo ngoài đồng.
He proposed another parable to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field.
32 Đó là hạt nhỏ nhất trong các loại hạt giống, nhưng khi mọc lên trở thành cây lớn, đến nỗi chim có thể đến làm tổ trên cành.”
It is, indeed, the least of all seeds, but when it has grown, it is greater than all the plants, and it becomes a tree, so much so that the birds of the air come and dwell in its branches.”
33 Chúa Giê-xu còn dạy ẩn dụ này nữa: “Nước Trời giống như men làm bánh. Một thiếu phụ kia lấy men trộn vào bột, nhồi cho đến lúc đống bột dậy lên.”
He spoke another parable to them: “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of fine wheat flour, until it was entirely leavened.”
34 Đó là những ẩn dụ Chúa Giê-xu dạy dỗ dân chúng. Ngài luôn luôn dùng ẩn dụ giảng dạy.
All these things Jesus spoke in parables to the crowds. And he did not speak to them apart from parables,
35 Đúng như lời Đức Chúa Trời phán qua tiên tri: “Ta sẽ dùng ẩn dụ giảng dạy Ta sẽ kể những huyền nhiệm từ khi sáng tạo thế gian.”
in order to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet, saying: “I will open my mouth in parables. I will proclaim what has been hidden since the foundation of the world.”
36 Rời đám đông bên ngoài, Chúa Giê-xu đi vào nhà. Các môn đệ Ngài thưa: “Xin Chúa giải thích cho chúng con câu chuyện cỏ dại ngoài đồng.”
Then, dismissing the crowds, he went into the house. And his disciples drew near to him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.”
37 Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Con Người là người gieo lúa.
Responding, he said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of man.
38 Đồng ruộng là thế gian. Hạt giống là công dân Nước Trời. Còn cỏ dại là người theo quỷ Sa-tan.
Now the field is the world. And the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom. But the weeds are the sons of wickedness.
39 Kẻ thù gieo cỏ dại vào lúa chính là ma quỷ; mùa gặt là ngày tận thế; thợ gặt là các thiên sứ. (aiōn g165)
So the enemy who sowed them is the devil. And truly, the harvest is the consummation of the age; while the reapers are the Angels. (aiōn g165)
Therefore, just as weeds are gathered up and burned with fire, so shall it be at the consummation of the age. (aiōn g165)
41 Con Người sẽ sai thiên sứ tập họp những kẻ gây ra tội lỗi và người gian ác lại,
The Son of man shall send out his Angels, and they shall gather from his kingdom all who lead astray and those who work iniquity.
42 ném chúng vào lò lửa là nơi đầy tiếng than khóc và nghiến răng.
And he shall cast them into the furnace of fire, where there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
43 Còn những người công chính sẽ chiếu sáng như mặt trời trong Nước Cha. Ai có tai để nghe, nên lắng nghe!”
Then the just ones shall shine like the sun, in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear.
44 “Nước Trời giống như châu báu chôn dưới đất. Có người tìm được, vui mừng bán cả gia tài, lấy tiền mua miếng đất đó.
The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field. When a man finds it, he hides it, and, because of his joy, he goes and sells everything that he has, and he buys that field.
45 Nước Trời còn giống trường hợp nhà buôn đi tìm ngọc quý.
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking good pearls.
46 Khi tìm thấy viên ngọc vô giá, liền bán hết của cải để mua viên ngọc.”
Having found one pearl of great value, he went away and sold all that he had, and he bought it.
47 “Nước Trời cũng giống như người đánh cá ném lưới xuống biển bắt đủ thứ cá.
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net cast into the sea, which gathers together all kinds of fish.
48 Khi lưới đã đầy, người ấy kéo vào bờ, ngồi chọn cá tốt bỏ vào thùng, và vất bỏ mọi thứ khác.
When it has been filled, drawing it out and sitting beside the shore, they selected the good into vessels, but the bad they threw away.
49 Cũng vậy, trong ngày tận thế, thiên sứ sẽ đến chia rẽ người gian ác với người công chính, (aiōn g165)
So shall it be at the consummation of the age. The Angels shall go forth and separate the bad from the midst of the just. (aiōn g165)
50 ném người gian ác vào lò lửa, là nơi khóc lóc và nghiến răng.
And they shall cast them into the furnace of fire, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
51 Các con có hiểu những ẩn dụ ấy không?” Môn đệ đáp: “Thưa Thầy, hiểu.”
Have you understood all these things?” They say to him, “Yes.”
52 Chúa lại tiếp: “Người nào vốn thông thạo luật pháp, nay làm môn đệ Ta là người có hai thứ châu báu: Châu báu cũ và châu báu mới.”
He said to them, “Therefore, every scribe well-taught about the kingdom of heaven, is like a man, the father of a family, who offers from his storehouse both the new and the old.”
53 Khi Chúa Giê-xu kể xong các ẩn dụ, Ngài rời khỏi nơi đó.
And it happened that, when Jesus had completed these parables, he went away from there.
54 Ngài trở về quê hương, ngồi dạy dân chúng trong hội đường. Mọi người đều kinh ngạc về lời lẽ khôn ngoan và các phép lạ của Chúa.
And arriving in his own country, he taught them in their synagogues, so much so that they wondered and said: “How can such wisdom and power be with this one?
55 Họ bảo nhau: “Ông ấy con nhà thợ mộc, chúng ta đều biết cả! Mẹ là bà Ma-ri; các em trai là Gia-cơ, Giô-sép, Si-môn, và Giu-đe.
Is this not the son of a workman? Is not his mother called Mary, and his brothers, James, and Joseph, and Simon, and Jude?
56 Các em gái cũng đều sinh trưởng tại đây. Sao ông ấy tài giỏi thế?”
And his sisters, are they not all with us? Therefore, from where has this one obtained all these things?”
57 Vì đó họ khước từ Ngài. Nhưng Chúa Giê-xu phán với họ: “Các tiên tri chẳng bao giờ được gia đình tôn kính, hay quê hương ca ngợi.”
And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country and in his own house.”
58 Chúa làm rất ít phép lạ tại quê hương, vì người ta không tin Ngài.
And he did not work many miracles there, because of their unbelief.
