1 Có một người sống trong miền cao nguyên Ép-ra-im tên là Mi-ca.
And he was a man from [the] hill country of Ephraim and name his [was] Micaiah.
2 Một hôm, người này thưa với mẹ mình: “Con đã nghe mẹ nguyền rủa độc hại người đã lấy 12,5 ký bạc của mẹ, thật ra là con lấy.” Bà nói: “Xin Chúa Hằng Hữu ban phước lành cho con.”
And he said to mother his one thousand and one hundred the silver which it was taken to you (and you *Q(K)*) you cursed and also you said in ears my here! the silver [is] with me I I took it and she said mother his [be] blessed son my by Yahweh.
3 Mai-ca trao số bạc lại cho mẹ, rồi bà nói: “Mẹ dâng số bạc này để đúc một cái tượng cho Chúa Hằng Hữu. Nhưng coi như của con dâng. Như thế, bạc lại trở về con.”
And he brought back [the] one thousand and one hundred the silver to mother his and she said mother his certainly I consecrate the silver to Yahweh from hand my for son my to make a carved image and a molten image and therefore I will return it to you.
4 Vậy người mẹ lấy 200 đồng bạc giao cho một người thợ bạc. Người này đúc một cái tượng, chạm trổ tỉ mỉ. Tượng được đặt trong nhà Mi-ca.
And he brought back the silver to mother his and she took mother his two hundred silver and she gave it to the silversmith and he made it a carved image and a molten image and it was in [the] house of Micaiah.
5 Thế là nhà Mai-ca thành một cái miếu thờ. Ông cũng làm một cái ê-phót và các tượng thần, cử một con trai mình làm chức tế lễ.
And the man Micah [belonged] to him a house of God and he made an ephod and teraphim and he filled [the] hand of one from sons his and he became of him a priest.
6 Lúc ấy Ít-ra-ên không có vua. Ai nấy làm những điều mình cho là phải.
In the days those there not [was] a king in Israel everyone the right in view his he did.
7 Cũng có một thanh niên người Lê-vi sống tại Bết-lê-hem thuộc đất Giu-đa.
And he was a young man from Beth-lehem Judah from [the] tribe of Judah and he [was] a Levite and he [was] sojourning there.
8 Nhưng người này bỏ Bết-lê-hem, đi tìm một nơi sinh sống. Trên đường, người ấy qua núi Ép-ra-im, dừng chân trước nhà Mai-ca.
And he went the man from the city from Beth-lehem Judah to sojourn in where he will find and he came [the] hill country of Ephraim to [the] house of Micah to make journey his.
9 Mai-ca hỏi: “Ông từ đâu đến đây?” Ông đáp: “Tôi là người Lê-vi, từ Bết-lê-hem thuộc Giu-đa, tôi đi tìm một nơi sinh sống.”
And he said to him Micah from where? do you come and he said to him [am] a Levite I from Beth-lehem Judah and I [am] going to sojourn in where I will find.
10 Mai-ca đề nghị: “Mời ông ở lại đây làm thầy tế lễ. Tôi sẽ trả ông mỗi năm 114 gam bạc, một bộ áo, và cung phụng mọi thức cần dùng.”
And he said to him Micah remain! with me and become of me a father and a priest and I I will give to you ten silver to the days and an order of garments and sustenance your and he went the Levite.
11 Người Lê-vi bằng lòng ở lại và về sau trở nên như một người con trong nhà Mai-ca.
And he was willing the Levite to dwell with the man and he was the young man to him like one from sons his.
12 Mai-ca phong người ấy làm thầy tế lễ của mình, và người ấy sống trong nhà Mai-ca.
And he filled Micah [the] hand of the Levite and he became of him the young man a priest and he was in [the] house of Micah.
13 Mai-ca nói: “Bây giờ Chúa sẽ ban phước lành cho ta, vì ta có một thầy tế lễ người Lê-vi.”
And he said Micah now I know that he will do good Yahweh to me for he has become of me the Levite a priest.
