1 Ít lâu sau, vào mùa gặt lúa, Sam-sôn đi thăm vợ có đem theo một con dê con để làm quà. Ông nói: “Con muốn vào phòng của vợ con và nằm với nàng.” Nhưng cha nàng không cho phép ông vào.

17 Nói xong, ông ném cái hàm lừa đi. Từ đó, nơi này được gọi là “Đồi Hàm Lừa.”

18 Lúc ấy ông cảm thấy khát nước quá, nên xin Chúa Hằng Hữu: “Chúa vừa dùng con giải thoát dân Ngài, nay đầy tớ Chúa phải chết khát và rơi vào tay quân thù không cắt bì này sao?”

19 Vì vậy, Đức Chúa Trời làm vỡ một bộng đá ở Lê-hi, nước chảy ra. Sam-sôn uống và tinh thần phục hồi, phấn chấn. Và như thế, tại Lê-hi, Sam-sôn gọi suối ấy là “Suối Nước của Người Cầu Nguyện,” và suối ấy vẫn còn tại Lê-hi cho đến ngày nay.
