Giô-sua 23
1 Sau một thời gian dài, Chúa Hằng Hữu cho Ít-ra-ên được hưởng thái bình, và Giô-suê đã cao tuổi.
And it was from days many after that he had given rest Yahweh to Israel from all enemies their from round about and Joshua he was old he had come in days.
2 Một hôm, ông triệu tập toàn dân và các nhà lãnh đạo Ít-ra-ên—trưởng lão, phán quan, và các cấp chỉ huy—và bảo họ: “Ta đã già lắm rồi.
And he summoned Joshua all Israel elders its and leaders its and judges its and officials its and he said to them I I am old I have come in days.
3 Chính anh em đã chứng kiến những việc Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của anh em, làm cho các dân tộc này vì Ít-ra-ên: Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của anh em, đã đánh các nước ấy cho anh em.
And you you have seen all that he has done Yahweh God your to all the nations these from before you for Yahweh God your he [is] the [one who] has been fighting for you.
4 Tôi có chia cho các đại tộc Ít-ra-ên đất đai của những nước đã chinh phục cũng như những nước chưa chinh phục, từ Sông Giô-đan cho đến Đại Trung Hải phía tây.
See I have made fall to you the nations which remain these an inheritance for tribes your from the Jordan and all the nations which I have cut off and the sea great [the] setting of the sun.
5 Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của anh em, sẽ đuổi các dân tộc trong các miền chưa chinh phục để cho anh em chiếm đất, như Ngài đã hứa.
And Yahweh God your he he will drive out them from before you and he will dispossess them from to before you and you will take possession of land their just as he spoke Yahweh God your to you.
6 Vậy, anh em phải vững lòng vâng giữ mọi điều đã chép trong Sách Luật Môi-se, đừng sai phạm.
And you will be strong very to take care and to do every [thing] written in [the] book of [the] law of Moses to not to turn aside from it right [hand] and left [hand].
7 Đừng pha giống với các dân còn sót lại trong đất này, đừng nhắc đến tên thần của họ, đừng lấy các tên ấy mà thề, đừng thờ lạy các thần ấy.
To not to go among the nations these which remain these with you and [the] name of gods their not you must bring to remembrance and not you must cause to swear and not you must serve them and not you must bow down to them.
8 Nhưng phải bám chặt lấy Đức Chúa Trời mình, như anh em đã làm từ trước đến nay.
That except to Yahweh God your you will cling just as you have done until the day this.
9 Vì Chúa đã đánh đuổi nhiều dân tộc hùng mạnh giúp anh em; và cho đến nay, không ai cự nổi Ít-ra-ên.
And he has dispossessed Yahweh from before you nations great and mighty and you not he has stood anyone in faces your until the day this.
10 Một người Ít-ra-ên đánh đuổi nghìn người, vì có Chúa Hằng Hữu chiến đấu cho, như Ngài đã hứa.
A man one of you he puts to flight a thousand for - Yahweh God your he [is] the [one who] fights for you just as he spoke to you.
11 Phải cẩn thận: Yêu kính Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của anh em.
And you will take heed exceedingly to selves your to love Yahweh God your.
12 Nhưng nếu anh em làm trái lại, đi kết hôn với những dân còn sót lại trong đất này,
That - except ever you will turn back and you will cling to [the] remainder of the nations these which remain these with you and you will intermarry with them and you will go among them and they among you.
13 thì anh em nên biết chắc rằng Chúa sẽ không đánh đuổi các dân tộc ấy nữa. Họ sẽ trở thành bẫy bủa giăng, thành roi đánh bên hông, thành gai chông trước mắt anh em, cho đến ngày anh em bị trừ khỏi đất tốt lành Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của anh em đã ban cho.
Certainly you will know that not he will increase Yahweh God your to dispossess the nations these from to before you and they will become for you a trap and a snare and a scourge in sides your and thorns in view your until perish you from on the land good this which he has given to you Yahweh God your.
14 Ta sắp đi con đường nhân loại phải trải qua. Còn anh em, ai nấy đều phải nhận thức trong lòng rằng mọi lời hứa của Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của anh em, đều được thực hiện.
And here! I [am] about to go this day in [the] way of all the earth and you know with all heart your and with all being your that not it has fallen a word one of all - the words good which he spoke Yahweh God your on you everything they have come to you not it has fallen of it a word one.
15 Như những lời hứa lành của Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của anh em, đã được thực hiện, những điều dữ cũng sẽ xảy ra nếu anh em bất tuân.
And it will be just as it has come on you every word good which he spoke Yahweh God your to you so he will bring Yahweh on you every word bad until has destroyed he you from on the land good this which he has given to you Yahweh God your.
16 Ngài sẽ đổ trên anh em tai họa, cho đến khi anh em bị tiêu diệt khỏi đất lành này, nếu anh em vi phạm giao ước của Ngài đã lập, đi thờ lạy các thần khác, cơn thịnh nộ của Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của anh em, sẽ nổi lên, anh em sẽ bị tiêu diệt nhanh chóng, bị khai trừ khỏi đất tốt lành Ngài ban cho.”
When transgress you [the] covenant of Yahweh God your which he commanded you and you will go and you will serve gods other and you will bow down to them and it will burn [the] anger of Yahweh on you and you will perish quickly from on the land good which he has given to you.
