Giô-sua 21
1 Các trưởng lão người Lê-vi đến trình bày với Thầy Tế lễ Ê-lê-a-sa, Giô-suê con trai Nun, và các trưởng tộc Ít-ra-ên
Then came near the heads of fathers' houses of the Levites unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the heads of fathers' houses of the tribes of the children of Israel;
2 tại Si-lô, trong đất Ca-na-an: “Chúa Hằng Hữu có chỉ thị Môi-se cấp cho chúng tôi các thành để ở và đất để nuôi súc vật.”
and they spoke unto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying: 'The LORD commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with the open land thereabout for our cattle.'
3 Tuân lệnh Chúa, người Ít-ra-ên trích trong phần mình các thành và đất để nuôi gia súc, cấp cho người Lê-vi (theo lối bắt thăm).
And the children of Israel gave unto the Levites out of their inheritance, according to the commandment of the LORD, these cities with the open land about them.
4 Mười ba thành trong đất đại tộc Giu-đa, Si-mê-ôn, và Bên-gia-min được cấp cho con cháu Thầy Tế lễ A-rôn thuộc họ Kê-hát.
And the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites; and the children of Aaron the priest, who were of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of the Simeonites, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities.
5 Còn những gia đình khác trong họ Kê-hát nhận được mười thành trong đất Ép-ra-im, Đan, và phân nửa đại tộc Ma-na-se.
And the rest of the children of Kohath had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.
6 Họ Ghẹt-sôn nhận được mười ba thành trong đất Y-sa-ca, A-se, Nép-ta-li, và phân nửa đại tộc Ma-na-se ở Ba-san.
And the children of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.
7 Họ Mê-ra-ri nhận được mười hai thành trong đất đại tộc Ru-bên, Gát, và Sa-bu-luân.
The children of Merari according to their families had out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.
8 Vậy, chỉ thị của Chúa truyền cho Môi-se trước kia được thực hiện, người Ít-ra-ên cắt đất và thành mình, người Lê-vi nhận phần theo lối bắt thăm.
And the children of Israel gave by lot unto the Levites these cities with the open land about them, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.
9 Đại tộc Giu-đa và Si-mê-ôn dành ra các thành có tên như sau:
And they gave out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, these cities which are here mentioned by name.
10 Con cháu Thầy Tế lễ A-rôn thuộc họ Kê-hát trong đại tộc Lê-vi bắt thăm được nhận phần trước tiên.
And they were for the children of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites, who were of the children of Levi; for theirs was the first lot.
11 Họ nhận được Ki-ri-át A-ra-ba (A-ra-ba là cha A-nác) còn gọi là Hếp-rôn, cùng với những đồng cỏ chung quanh, và các vùng đồi của Giu-đa.
And they gave them Kiriath-arba, which Arba was the father of Anak — the same is Hebron — in the hill-country of Judah, with the open land round about it.
12 Nhưng các đồng ruộng và thôn ấp phụ cận thành này được cấp cho Ca-lép, con Giê-phu-nê.
But the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, gave they to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.
13 Vậy, họ phân cho con cháu Thầy Tế lễ A-rôn vùng Hếp-rôn (là một thành trú ẩn), Líp-na,
And unto the children of Aaron the priest they gave Hebron with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Libnah with the open land about it;
14 Gia-tia, Ê-thê-mô-a,
and Jattir with the open land about it, and Eshtemoa with the open land about it;
15 Hô-lôn, Đê-bia,
and Holon with the open land about it, and Debir with the open land about it;
16 A-in, Giu-ta, và Bết-sê-mết, cùng với các đồng cỏ xanh—chín thành lấy từ hai đại tộc này.
and Ain with the open land about it, and Juttah with the open land about it, and Beth-shemesh with the open land about it; nine cities out of those two tribes.
17 Đại tộc Bên-gia-min nhượng cho họ bốn thành sau đây: Ga-ba-ôn, Ghê-ba,
And out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with the open land about it, Geba with the open land about it;
18 A-na-tốt, và Anh-môn, cùng với đất phụ cận để nuôi súc vật.
Anathoth with the open land about it, and Almon with the open land about it; four cities.
19 Vậy, các thầy tế lễ, con cháu A-rôn được tất cả mười ba thành và đất quanh thành để chăn nuôi.
All the cities of the children of Aaron, the priests, were thirteen cities with the open land about them.
20 Những người còn lại trong họ Kê-hát thuộc đại tộc Lê-vi nhận được bốn thành do đại tộc Ép-ra-im trích nhượng:
And the families of the children of Kohath, the Levites, even the rest of the children of Kohath, they had the cities of their lot out of the tribe of Ephraim.
21 Si-chem (một thành trú ẩn của người ngộ sát trên cao nguyên Ép-ra-im), Ghê-xe,
And they gave them Shechem with the open land about it in the hill-country of Ephraim, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Gezer with the open land about it;
22 Kíp-sa-im, và Bết-hô-rôn, cùng với đất phụ cận để nuôi súc vật.
and Kibzaim with the open land about it, and Beth-horon with the open land about it; four cities.
23 Đại tộc Đan nhượng cho họ bốn thành sau đây: Ên-thê-ên, Ghi-bê-thôn,
And out of the tribe of Dan, Elteke with the open land about it, Gibbethon with the open land about it;
24 A-gia-lôn, và Gát-rim-môn, cùng với đất phụ cận để nuôi súc vật.
Aijalon with the open land about it, Gath-rimmon with the open land about it; four cities.
25 Nửa đại tộc Ma-na-se nhượng cho họ hai thành Tha-a-nác và Gát-rim-môn với đất quanh thành.
And out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Taanach with the open land about it, and Gath-rimmon with the open land about it; two cities.
26 Vậy, những người còn lại trong họ Kê-hát được tất cả mười thành và đất phụ cận để chăn nuôi.
All the cities of the families of the rest of the children of Kohath were ten with the open land about them.
27 Con cháu Ghẹt-sôn, một họ khác trong đại tộc Lê-vi, nhận hai thành và đất phụ cận từ nửa đại tộc Ma-na-se: Gô-lan thuộc Ba-san (một thành trú ẩn của người ngộ sát) và Bết-tê-ra.
And unto the children of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the half-tribe of Manasseh they gave Golan in Bashan with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer; and Beeshterah with the open land about it; two cities.
28 Đại tộc Y-sa-ca nhường cho họ bốn thành Ki-si-ôn, Đa-bê-rát,
And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishion with the open land about it, Dobrath with the open land about it;
29 Giạt-mút, và Ên-ga-nim cùng với đất phụ cận để nuôi súc vật.
Jarmuth with the open land about it, En-gannim with the open land about it; four cities.
30 Đại tộc A-se nhượng bốn thành Mi-sanh, Áp-đôn,
And out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal with the open land about it, Abdon with the open land about it;
31 Hên-cát, và Rê-hốp cùng với đất phụ cận để nuôi gia súc.
Helkath with the open land about it, and Rehob with the open land about it; four cities.
32 Đại tộc Nép-ta-li nhượng ba thành và đất phụ cận: Kê-đe ở Ga-li-lê (một thành trú ẩn), Ha-mốt Đô-rơ, và Cạt-than.
And out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Hammoth-dor with the open land about it, and Kartan with the open land about it; three cities.
33 Vậy họ Ghẹt-sôn được tất cả mười ba thành và đất để chăn nuôi.
All the cities of the Gershonites according to their families were thirteen cities with the open land about them.
34 Họ Mê-ra-ri, họ còn lại của đại tộc Lê-vi, nhận bốn thành do đại tộc Sa-bu-luân nhường lại: Giốc-nê-am, Cát-ta,
And unto the families of the children of Merari, the rest of the Levites, out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam with the open land about it, and Kartah with the open land about it;
35 Đim-na, và Na-ha-la cùng với đất phụ cận để nuôi súc vật.
Dimnah with the open land about it, Nahalal with the open land about it; four cities.
36 Đại tộc Ru-bên nhượng cho họ bốn thành và đất Ba-san, Gia-xa,
And out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer with the open land about it, and Jahaz with the open land about it;
37 Kê-đê-mốt, và Mê-phát, cùng với đất phụ cận để nuôi gia súc.
Kedemoth with the open land about it, and Mephaath with the open land about it; four cities.
38 Đại tộc Gát nhượng bốn thành và đất phụ cận: Ra-mốt ở Ga-la-át (thành trú ẩn), Ma-ha-na-im,
And out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Mahanaim with the open land about it;
39 Hết-bôn, và Gia-ê-xe cùng với đất phụ cận để nuôi gai súc.
Heshbon with the open land about it, Jazer with the open land about it; four cities in all.
40 Vậy, họ Mê-ra-ri thuộc Lê-vi được tất cả mười hai thành.
All these were the cities of the children of Merari according to their families, even the rest of the families of the Levites; and their lot was twelve cities.
41 Cả đại tộc Lê-vi được tổng số bốn mươi tám thành, ở rải rác trong đất Ít-ra-ên. Mỗi thành đều gồm luôn đất bao bọc chung quanh, dùng để chăn nuôi.
All the cities of the Levites — forty and eight cities with the open land about them — shall be in the midst of the possession of the children of Israel,
42 Tất các thành này đều có đất phụ cận để chăn nuôi.
even these cities, every one with the open land round about it; thus it shall be with all these cities.
43 Như thế, Chúa Hằng Hữu thực hiện lời Ngài hứa với các tổ tiên, cho Ít-ra-ên lãnh thổ này. Họ chiếm lấy và lập nghiệp tại đó.
So the LORD gave unto Israel all the land which He swore to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein.
44 Chúa Hằng Hữu cũng cho họ hưởng thái bình như đã hứa, không ai chống nổi họ, vì Ngài giao hết kẻ thù vào tay họ.
And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that He swore unto their fathers; and there stood not a man of all their enemies against them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.
45 Tất cả những lời hứa tốt lành của Chúa Hằng Hữu với Ít-ra-ên đều được Ngài thực hiện.
There failed not aught of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.
