Giê-rê-mi-a 33
1 Trong thời gian Giê-rê-mi bị giam cầm tại sân thị vệ, Chúa Hằng Hữu ban cho ông sứ điệp thứ hai:
Moreover, the worde of the Lord came vnto Ieremiah the second time (while he was yet shut vp in the court of prison) saying,
2 “Đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu phán—là Chúa Hằng Hữu tạo dựng vũ trụ, Đấng hình thành và tạo lập việc này, Danh Ngài là Chúa Hằng Hữu:
Thus sayth the Lord, the maker thereof, the Lord that formed it, and established it, the Lord is his Name.
3 Hãy kêu cầu Ta, Ta sẽ trả lời con; Ta sẽ cho con biết những việc lớn lao, huyền nhiệm con chưa từng biết.
Call vnto me, and I will answere thee, and shewe thee great and mightie things, which thou knowest not.
4 Vì đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của Ít-ra-ên, phán: Về các nhà cửa, cung điện của các vua Giu-đa đã bị phá tan để dùng chống lại đồn lũy và gươm giáo của kẻ thù.
For thus saith the Lord God of Israel, concerning the houses of this citie, and concerning the houses of the Kings of Iudah, which are destroyed by the mounts, and by the sword,
5 Dân này chiến đấu chống lại quân Ba-by-lôn, nhưng những người trong thành này chết nhiều đến nỗi thành đầy thi thể, vì bị Ta hình phạt trong cơn thịnh nộ. Ta đã từ bỏ họ vì tội ác họ quá nặng nề.
They come to fight with the Caldeans, but it is to fill themselues with the dead bodies of men, whome I haue slaine in mine anger and in my wrath: for I haue hid my face from this citie, because of all their wickednes.
6 Tuy nhiên, khi đến kỳ Ta sẽ chữa lành thương tích cho Giê-ru-sa-lem và cho nó hưởng thái bình và an ninh lâu dài.
Behold, I will giue it health and amendment: for I wil cure them, and will reueile vnto them the abundance of peace, and trueth.
7 Ta sẽ phục hồi sự phồn thịnh của Giu-đa và Ít-ra-ên, và xây dựng lại các thành của họ.
And I wil cause the captiuitie of Iudah and the captiuitie of Israel to returne, and will build them as at the first.
8 Ta sẽ tẩy sạch tội ác họ đã phạm và tha thứ tất cả gian ác lỗi lầm họ đã làm nghịch cùng Ta.
And I wil clense them from all their iniquitie, whereby they haue sinned against me: yea, I wil pardon all their iniquities, whereby they haue sinned against me, and whereby they haue rebelled against me.
9 Thành này sẽ làm vinh dự Danh Ta, làm cho Ta vui mừng và đem lại cho Ta sự ca ngợi và tôn kính trước mặt tất cả dân tộc trên thế giới! Cả nhân loại sẽ nghe tin Ta ban phước lành và thái bình thịnh trị cho dân Ta đến nỗi họ phải run sợ.
And it shalbe to me a name, a ioy, a praise, and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall heare all ye good that I doe vnto them: and they shall feare and tremble for all the goodnes, and for all the wealth, that I shew vnto this citie.
10 Đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu phán: Các con nói: ‘Đây là một nơi hoang vu, cả người và thú vật cũng không có.’ Trong các đường phố vắng vẻ của Giê-ru-sa-lem và các thành khác của Giu-đa, một lần nữa sẽ được nghe
Thus sayth the Lord, Againe there shalbe heard in this place (which ye say shalbe desolate, without man, and without beast, euen in the cities of Iudah, and in the streetes of Ierusalem, that are desolate without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast)
11 những tiếng mừng rỡ và tiếng cười vui vẻ. Người ta sẽ lại nghe tiếng hân hoan của chú rể và cô dâu, cùng những bài hát của những người dâng lời tạ ơn lên Chúa Hằng Hữu. Họ sẽ hát: ‘Cảm tạ Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân, vì Chúa Hằng Hữu thật nhân từ. Lòng thương xót Ngài còn đến đời đời!’ Vì Ta sẽ cho đất nước này vui tươi phồn thịnh hơn hẳn ngày xưa. Chúa Hằng Hữu phán.
The voyce of ioy and the voyce of gladnes, the voyce of the bridegrome, and the voyce of the bride, the voyce of them that shall say, Prayse the Lord of hostes, because the Lord is good: for his mercy endureth for euer, and of them that offer the sacrifice of prayse in the House of the Lord, for I will cause to returne the captiuitie of the land, as at the first, sayth the Lord.
12 Đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân phán: Nơi này sẽ hoang vắng tiêu điều đến nỗi không còn một bóng người hay dấu chân thú vật, nhưng rồi tất cả thành sẽ đầy người chăn và bầy chiên an nghỉ.
Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Againe in this place, which is desolate, without man, and without beast, and in all the cities thereof there shall be dwelling for shepheards to rest their flockes.
13 Một lần nữa những người chăn chiên sẽ đếm số bầy của mình trong các miền đồi núi và các thành ở phía đông đồng bằng Phi-li-tin, các đô thị xứ Nê-ghép, khắp lãnh thổ Bên-gia-min, các vùng phụ cận Giê-ru-sa-lem, và các thành Giu-đa. Ta, Chúa Hằng Hữu, đã phán vậy!
In the cities of the mountaines, in the cities in the plaine, and in the cities of the South, and in the land of Beniamin, and about Ierusalem, and in the cities of Iudah shall the sheepe passe againe, vnder the hand of him that telleth them, sayth the Lord.
14 Sẽ có ngày, Chúa Hằng Hữu phán, Ta sẽ thực hiện những điều Ta đã hứa với dân tộc Ít-ra-ên và Giu-đa.
Beholde, the dayes come, sayth the Lord, that I wil performe that good thing, which I haue promised vnto the house of Israel, and to the house of Iudah.
15 Trong những ngày đó và đến lúc ấy, Ta sẽ khiến cho nhánh công chính đâm chồi từ dòng Vua Đa-vít. Người sẽ thi hành công minh và công chính trên khắp đất.
In those dayes and at that time, wil I cause the branch of righteousnesse to growe vp vnto Dauid, and he shall execute iudgement, and righteousnes in the land.
16 Trong ngày ấy, Giu-đa sẽ được giải cứu, và Giê-ru-sa-lem sẽ được an ninh. Thành sẽ được mang tên là: ‘Chúa Hằng Hữu Là Đấng Công Chính của Chúng Ta.’
In those dayes shall Iudah be saued, and Ierusalem shall dwell safely, and hee that shall call her, is the Lord our righteousnesse.
17 Vì đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu phán: Đa-vít sẽ có một hậu tự ngồi trên ngôi Ít-ra-ên mãi mãi.
For thus sayth the Lord, Dauid shall neuer want a man to sit vpon the throne of the house of Israel.
18 Các thầy tế lễ dòng Lê-vi luôn luôn có người dâng lễ thiêu, lễ chay, và các tế lễ hằng ngày cho Ta.”
Neither shall the Priests and Leuites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to offer meat offerings, and to doe sacrifice continually.
19 Rồi sứ điệp của Chúa Hằng Hữu lại đến với Giê-rê-mi:
And the worde of the Lord came vnto Ieremiah, saying,
20 “Đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu phán: Khi nào ngươi hủy bỏ được giao ước ngày và đêm của Ta, làm cho ngày, đêm lộn xộn,
Thus sayth the Lord, If you can breake my couenant of the day, and my couenant of the night, that there should not be day, and night in their season,
21 thì ngươi mới hủy bỏ được giao ước Ta lập với Đa-vít và dòng họ Lê-vi.
Then may my couenant be broken with Dauid my seruant, that he should not haue a sonne to reigne vpon his throne, and with the Leuites, and Priests my ministers.
22 Ta sẽ gia tăng dòng dõi của Đa-vít và số các thầy tế lễ Lê-vi đầy tớ Ta đông đảo đến mức không ai đếm được, nhiều như sao trời, như cát biển.”
As the army of heauen can not be nombred, neither the sand of the sea measured: so wil I multiplie the seede of Dauid my seruant, and the Leuites, that minister vnto me.
23 Chúa Hằng Hữu ban một sứ điệp khác cho Giê-rê-mi. Ngài phán:
Moreouer, the worde of the Lord came to Ieremiah, saying,
24 “Con có nghe các dân tộc mỉa mai không? — ‘Chúa Hằng Hữu đã chọn Giu-đa và Ít-ra-ên và rồi Ngài từ bỏ họ!’ Chúng khinh dể và nói rằng Ít-ra-ên không còn là một dân tộc nữa.
Considerest thou not what this people haue spoken, saying, The two families, which the Lord hath chosen, hee hath euen cast them off? thus they haue despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.
25 Nhưng đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu phán: ‘Nếu Ta không lập giao ước với ngày và đêm, không thay đổi các định luật vũ trụ, Ta sẽ không từ bỏ dân Ta.
Thus sayth the Lord, If my couenant be not with day and night, and if I haue not appointed the order of heauen and earth,
26 Ta sẽ không bao giờ khước từ dòng dõi Gia-cốp hay Đa-vít, đầy tớ Ta, cũng chẳng bao giờ thay đổi kế hoạch đưa con cháu Đa-vít lên ngôi cai trị các dòng dõi của Áp-ra-ham, Y-sác, và Gia-cốp. Ta sẽ cho dân này cường thịnh hơn ngày trước và hưởng sự nhân từ của Ta mãi mãi.’”
Then will I cast away the seede of Iaakob and Dauid my seruant, and not take of his seede to be rulers ouer the seede of Abraham, Izhak, and Iaakob: for I wil cause their captiuitie to returne, and haue compassion on them.
