1 Giô-sép không thể nào đè nén cảm xúc được nữa. Ông la lớn và đuổi hết các gia nhân: “Tất cả hãy ra ngoài!” Vậy, trong phòng chỉ còn Giô-sép và các anh em.
Then Ioseph could not refraine him selfe before all that stoode by him, but hee cryed, Haue forth euery man from me. And there taryed not one with him, while Ioseph vttered himselfe vnto his brethren.
2 Ông khóc nức nở đến nỗi những người Ai Cập và cả hoàng cung Pha-ra-ôn đều nghe.
And hee wept and cried, so that the Egyptians heard: the house of Pharaoh heard also.
3 Ông tỏ thật với các anh em: “Tôi là Giô-sép. Cha tôi còn sống không?” Trước việc quá bất ngờ, các anh em kinh ngạc sửng sốt, không trả lời được.
Then Ioseph sayde to his brethren, I am Ioseph: doeth my father yet liue? But his brethren coulde not answere him, for they were astonished at his presence.
4 Ông ôn tồn: “Các anh em lại đây.” Họ bước lại gần. Ông tiếp: “Tôi là Giô-sép, đứa em mà các anh đã bán qua xứ Ai Cập.
Againe, Ioseph sayde to his brethren, Come neere, I pray you, to mee. And they came neere. And he sayde, I am Ioseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.
5 Bây giờ đừng buồn phiền trách móc nhau về việc ấy nữa, vì Đức Chúa Trời sai tôi đến đây trước để bảo toàn mạng sống các anh.
Nowe therefore be not sad, neither grieued with your selues, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you for your preseruation.
6 Nạn đói đã hoành hành hai năm nay, và còn những năm năm mất mùa nữa.
For nowe two yeeres of famine haue bene through ye land, and fiue yeeres are behind, wherein neither shalbe earing nor haruest.
7 Đức Chúa Trời đưa tôi đến đây trước để giải cứu các anh khỏi nạn đói, cho dòng dõi các anh được trường tồn.
Wherefore God sent me before you to preserue your posteritie in this land, and to saue you aliue by a great deliuerance.
8 Không phải tại các anh, nhưng Đức Chúa Trời xếp đặt cho tôi đến đây làm cố vấn cho vua và làm tể tướng, cầm quyền cả nước Ai Cập.
Now the you sent not me hither, but God, who hath made mee a father vnto Pharaoh, and lorde of all his house, and ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.
9 Các anh hãy về nhà gấp và thưa với cha: ‘Giô-sép, con của cha, nhắn rằng: Đức Chúa Trời đã lập con làm tể tướng nước Ai Cập. Xin cha xuống đây với con, đừng trì hoãn.
Haste you and go vp to my father, and tel him, Thus saieth thy sonne Ioseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come downe to me, tary not.
10 Cha sẽ sống tại xứ Gô-sen, như thế, cha sẽ sống gần con cùng các anh em, các cháu, bầy chiên, bầy bò, và mọi tài sản của cha.
And thou shalt dwel in ye land of Goshen, and shalt be neere me, thou and thy children, and thy childrens children, and thy sheepe, and thy beastes, and all that thou hast.
11 Con sẽ cung cấp lương thực để cha và mọi người trong nhà ta khỏi phải đói khổ, vì còn đến năm năm đói kém nữa.’
Also I will nourish thee there (for yet remaine fiue yeeres of famine) lest thou perish through pouertie, thou and thy houshold, and all that thou hast.
12 Này, các anh và Bên-gia-min, em tôi, đã chứng kiến chính tôi nói chuyện với các anh em.
And behold, your eyes doe see, and the eyes of my brother Beniamin, that my mouth speaketh to you.
13 Các anh em hãy thuật cho cha nghe vinh quang và uy quyền của tôi tại Ai Cập; hãy mau đưa cha đến đây.”
Therefore tel my father of al mine honour in Egypt, and of all that ye haue seene, and make haste, and bring my father hither.
14 Giô-sép ôm choàng lấy Bên-gia-min, em mình, mà khóc. Bên-gia-min cũng khóc.
Then hee fell on his brother Beniamins necke, and wept, and Beniamin wept on his necke.
15 Giô-sép hôn các anh và khóc. Kế đó, các anh em nói chuyện với Giô-sép.
Moreouer, he kissed all his brethren, and wept vpon them: and afterwarde his brethren talked with him.
16 Vua Ai Cập được tin anh em của Giô-sép đã đến. Vua và quần thần rất mừng.
And the tidinges came vnto Pharaohs house, so that they said, Iosephs brethre are come: and it pleased Pharaoh well, and his seruants.
17 Vua Pha-ra-ôn sốt sắng bảo Giô-sép: “Hãy bảo anh em ngươi chuẩn bị lừa trở về xứ Ca-na-an,
Then Pharaoh said vnto Ioseph, Say to thy brethren, This doe ye, lade your beastes and depart, go to the land of Canaan,
18 rước cha ngươi và toàn gia đình đến đây. Ta sẽ cho các ngươi phần đất tốt nhất của Ai Cập và các ngươi sẽ hưởng hoa màu của đất.
And take your father, and your houshoulds, and come to me, and I wil giue you the best of the land of Egypt, and ye shall eate of the fat of the land.
19 Ngươi hãy lấy xe ngựa Ai Cập để cho họ đem về chở vợ con và rước cha ngươi đến đây.
And I commaund thee, Thus doe ye, take you charets out of the lande of Egypt for your children, and for your wiues, and bring your father and come.
20 Đừng tiếc tài sản mình, vì sản vật tốt nhất của Ai Cập sẽ thuộc về các ngươi.”
Also regarde not your stuffe: for the best of all the land of Egypt is yours.
21 Các con trai Ít-ra-ên liền sửa soạn lên đường. Theo lệnh vua, Giô-sép cấp cho họ xe ngựa, cùng với lương thực đi đường.
And the children of Israel did so: and Ioseph gaue them charets according to the commandement of Pharaoh: hee gaue them vitaile also for the iourney.
22 Giô-sép cũng cấp y phục cho mỗi người, riêng Bên-gia-min thì được năm bộ áo và 300 lạng bạc.
He gaue them all, none except, change of raiment: but vnto Beniamin he gaue three hundreth pieces of siluer, and fiue sutes of raiment.
23 Giô-sép gửi về cho cha mười con lừa chở sản vật quý của Ai Cập cùng với mười lừa cái chở gạo, bánh, và lương thực cho cha đi đường.
And vnto his father likewise hee sent ten hee asses laden with the best things of Egypt, and ten shee asses laden with wheate, and bread and meate for his father by the way.
24 Giô-sép tiễn các anh em lên đường và căn dặn: “Xin đừng cãi nhau dọc đường.”
So sent he his brethren away, and they departed: and he sayde vnto them, Fall not out by the way.
25 Từ Ai Cập, các anh em hăm hở trở về nhà Gia-cốp, cha mình, tại xứ Ca-na-an.
Then they went vp from Egypt, and came vnto the land of Canaan vnto Iaakob their father,
26 Họ hớn hở thưa: “Giô-sép hãy còn sống và làm tể tướng của nước Ai Cập!” Gia-cốp vẫn thờ ơ, lạnh lùng, và không tin lời họ.
And tolde him, saying, Ioseph is yet aliue, and he also is gouernour ouer all the lande of Egypt, and Iaakobs heart failed: for he beleeued them not.
27 Khi nghe các con thuật những lời Giô-sép nhắn và nhìn thấy các cỗ xe ngựa Giô-sép gửi về, tinh thần Gia-cốp liền hồi tỉnh.
And they told him al the words of Ioseph, which he had said vnto the: but when he saw the charets, which Ioseph had sent to cary him, then the spirit of Iaakob their father reuiued.
28 Ông nói: “Đúng rồi, Giô-sép, con ta, còn sống. Ta sẽ đi thăm nó trước khi qua đời.”
And Israel said, I haue inough: Ioseph my sonne is yet aliue: I will go and see him yer I die.
